Cirque du Soleil has dazzled audiences the world over, and now it’s finally on Broadway with a “jaw-dropping” (Variety) new spectacle! PARAMOUR, A CIRQUE DU SOLEIL MUSICAL spins the thrilling tale of a beautiful young actress forced to choose between love and art in the glamorous world of Golden Age Hollywood. Featuring “death-defying” acrobatics (Deadline) and sumptuous music and dance, PARAMOUR will transport you to a sublime world of “breathtaking magic” (The New York Times) as it walks the exhilarating tightrope of the heart.
The storyline is thin, but the circus elements are outstanding!
Fantastic show. Amazing out of this world breathtaking. Got the idea? Go and see it.
Though Paramour was more like a musical than the other shows, it was incredible. The costumes were amazing, the singing outstanding. The story was easy to follow. The twin acrobats stunning. All in all it was a remarkable, entertaining, captivating show. I strongly recommend it.
Beautiful scenery, great music, great actors and funny scenes too. Many visuals resources. It's a good show. But it did not charm us as we expected. I believe it was the chosen script. It was not engaging. There was a feeling that something was missing. So much so that few people stood up to applaud.
I purchased the tickets based on the "brand" alone; I knew nothing about the production itself. Paramour is a theatrical production, a musical, but it still included Cirque du Soleil acrobatic elements like partner stunts (while riding a unicycle!!), pole climbing, trampolines, teeter board, and the cords/trapeze act with the Atherton twins was amazing. My entire family loved the show.
Paramour was exciting from start to finish. It is amazing how they added terrific acrobatics to the plot without taking anything away from it. If I had one negative comment, it would be that a few times there was so much going on on the stage, that you had to be selective on what you wanted to watch.
Cirque du soleil show I have been in the past was more of just acrobatics. Paramour it's a good blend of musical with acrobatics.
Paramour was more than I ever imagined. The actors and colors were vibrant and lively.
This show has no idea what it wants to be. The musical half is just awful and the circus portions limited and weak. Almost walked out.
Excellent show, combines the best of Broadway and Cirque du Soleil. Highly recommended!
Great musical combined with breathtaking acrobats. You'll fall in love with the characters and be in awe of the stunts. A must see before it's too late!
The show was fantastic! It was entertaining and jaw dropping. This show is a must see!
Enjoyable the whole show. Great singing and acrobatics, and some humor as well.
Paramour combines the best of the Cirque brand (breath-holding acrobatics and breath-taking visuals) with an easily followed plot line and tinge of romance. Having been to many Cirques over the years, this one was great for young people and those who prefer a simpler story. Amazing, as always!!
The singing, dancing, acrobatics, was nothing special, nor was the writing of the story. The show wasn't bad it just wasn't great.
I and my mom went to the show, and both enjoyed it very much. Great songs, amazing performers, and a good story. The acrobatics performed really was the thing that stood out to me. It was amazing, even though I sat in my seat scared something would go wrong because it was some very, very high-level moves being done. Everything went fine, however, as the performers are professionals, which meant my worrying was pointless. The only thing I want to criticize is the pauses between the scenes. It felt as if we were viewing different "sketches" if you will, because the transitions between the scenes seemed at times a bit long, making it feel as if a long time went from the end of one scene to the beginning of the other when they really were just supposed to be walking down some stairs.
I brought guests from South Korea. They thoroughly loved it!!
It was an amazing show. The voices are sublime. The story is romantic.
My Fiance and I have been going to Cirque du Soleil shows for the last 10 years and Paramour was great.
Loved that this was not your typical Cirque show. Lots of amazing acting, singing and dancing. I had a smile on my face from start to finish!!!!! Incredible acting and acrobatics!!!
