Not Cirque Du Soliel's typical Wow Factor
by NateTheBarberSA on 10/18/17AT&T Center - San AntonioRating: 2 out of 5First and foremost, it's Cirque Du Soliel.... So it is expected to be a show that will bring you surprising performances, the show is described as "A Breakthrough Ice Experience" it's was mainly nothing but figure skating. I understand if the difficulty of performing on ice is a factor but then I wouldn't consider it a "Breakthrough"... the main performer could not land her twirl twice! During the pinball scene, although it was the most exciting part, the skaters could not get their timing right... obvious mistakes were made that pulled from the storyline... oh and the storyline, let me tell you.... I personally love when Cirque does a story in which you cannot understand the language that is being used, it adds to the quality and involvement of the scene, it becomes interpretive... this show tells you exactly what's going on! all I could think about was how annoying this teenage girl was and how spoiled she must have been to runaway from home... the entire narration was an attempt at Slam Poetry at best.... Again, I love Cirque Du Soliel, but this show in particular belongs as a side gig and a half the cost, I would NOT recommend this show as what it promised. If you like figure skating this is the show for you, but if you like the Original style of Acrobatics and Entertainment Cirque Du Soliel is known for, skip this one and catch Quidam, Ovo, Varekai.... those will make you jump out of your chair without a doubt in excitement
