About
Chromeo, the funk-electronic DJ duo composed of David "Dave 1" Macklovitch and Patrick "P-Thugg" Gemayel, have been churning out catchy dancefloor additions since forming in 2002. Beginning as high school bandmates in Montreal, Canada, the pair combined their appreciation for ‘80s funk, pop and R&B with a mutual studio savvy that leaned more toward hip-hop production. Dave 1 and P-Thugg debuted as Chromeo on 2004’s She’s in Control featuring their first major single “Needy Girl,” followed by Fancy Footwork (2007) and Business Casual (2010). The duo’s 2014 album White Women pushed Chromeo into wider mainstream acclaim, debuting at No. 11 on the Billboard 200 and boasting their single “Jealous (I Ain't with It)," which peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. Chromeo’s 2018 follow-up Head Over Heels added to the duo’s accolades with their first Grammy nomination for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical. In 2021, Chromeo showcased their vibrant onstage personas with their first concert album, Date Night: Chromeo Live!

They are full of energy, their music is of good quality, their set is amazing. This is my second time watching Chromeo live and I've not been disappointed. They the best songs from their albums, and I'm not much of a dancer, but these guys make me groove!! Can't wait to see them again IN LA!!!

Shame on Chromeo for attaching his name to that band and subjecting all of his fans to that torture. My ears were bleeding.

We all know that's not the real start time BUT, the opening act which wasn't even introduced DIDN'T START UNTIL 9:45!!!! Almost 4 whole hours with nothing happening!!!! The opener, (whoever he was)was auto tune terrible! you could have given the mic to the janitor and it probably would've been much better! So chromeo finally came on around 10:45. FIVE HOURS AFTER WE WERE LET IN TO THE VENUE! NOT ACCEPTABLE! BTW Chromeo was amazing!!!

It's awesome to see how they've evolved and their stage design has gotten bigger and badder over the years. I highly recommend seeing them live- you will dance all night long!

The singing was so low you can barely make out a couple words sang per song. Unless you’re an ultra fan that know the lyrics already, you won’t understand what’s going on. You can hear the super auto tune guy singing more than the guitar guy. The crowd that goes to these shows is boring.

The tickets did not display an opening act and, on top of that, I understand giving a platform to an artist you believe in and want to support but at the same time the act that opened for them was in a completely different genre. There was a DJ set for an hour and a half. The opening act didn't even come on until 9. Chromeo came on after 10:15. I love the Palladium, it is my favorite small venue in L.A. but this concert was very disappointing due to the uncoordinated schedule.

Even if you’ve never heard of them before , it was a really great and fun performance. They really worked hard to make the tour unforgettable. If I could I’d see them over and over again. I didn’t want the night to end!!
