Christopher Cross made history when his debut self-titled album was released in 1980. The album featured the international hit songs Sailing, Run Like the Wind and Never Be The Same. It went on to win five Grammy Awards, including—for the first time ever—the four most prestigious awards: Record of the Year (for the single “Sailing”), Album of the Year, Song of the Year (also for “Sailing”), and Best New Artist. An extraordinary song writer, Cross wrote all these songs and another of the most famous songs of the time - “Arthurs Theme (The best that you can do)” which he co-wrote with Burt Bacharach & Peter Allen and featured in the film Arthur that starred Liza Minelli and Dudley Moore. Arthur’s Theme won the 1981 Academy Award for Best Original Song.
Christopher Cross has also worked with some music greats and shared the stage with some music icons – from Mike McDonald – who sang backing vocals on Ride Like The Wind through to singing backing vocals with Carl Wilson on David Lee Roth’s version of California Girls.
Early in his career Christopher Cross and his band were the opening band for Led Zeppelin and Jethro Tull whilst in 1970 he subbed in for Ritchie Blackmore from Deep Purple for a show in San Antonio.
Thirty years since his stellar debut into the music business, Cross continues recording and touring across the nation, stopping at venues such as the Depot (Salt Lake City). He has released multiple albums and continued to contribute to film and tv soundtracks – including shows such as 30 Rock (he wrote Lemon’s Theme for the soundtrack).
His most recent album, Secret Ladder was released in 2014. The 13 track album, influenced by the likes of Joni Mitchell and Randy Newman, was written mostly with Rob Meurer and again Cross has worked with the finest musicians including bassist Will Lee (of the Fab Faux and Late Night with David Letterman), drummer Keith Carlock (Steely Dan and Toto), guitarist Eric Johnson, saxophonist David Mann, and vocalists Michael McDonald and Jeff Foskett (Brian Wilson’s musical director.

Wonderful show. Christopher reminded us all of the good in people. Singing was terrific and the audience was very appreciative.
Took my Mom to see Christopher Cross. He was Amazing and so was his music and and singers!! Love All the songs he played especially a couple I’ve never heard. I would go back in a New York minute to see Christopher Cross again!!!
I really liked the Chris Cross concert. The Talking Stick concert Hall is built for good sound. Chris Cross is an excellent guitarist and the rest of the band is great to. Just whish the sound man would of turned up Chris's microphone a bit. These days concerts don't run as long as they used to. A few more songs would have been great.
What an incredible show. Being huge Christopher Cross fans, my wife and I were so excited to finally see CC live. We were not disappointed. He played all his great hits. One after another. I always knew he was an incredible singer song writer, but his guitar playing was just as incredible. Thanks again for an incredible night. We are looking at his other concert dates so we can see him again on this tour. Thanks for the memories CC.
Christopher Cross has a wonderful library of songs and still has the voice create a wonderful concert experience. He has surrounded himself with great backup singers and accompanying musicians. IMO Andy Suzuki on the sax was huge! We go to a lot of concerts and this one was not only a GREAT concert but also and great value!
We had a wonderful time. A small venue it was quint and not a bad seat in the house!
Christopher Cross was amazing I got tickets on the second floor the view was amazing too I enjoyed this concert very much🙂
Loved the venue! It made it so much more intimate than any other concert I’ve been to in the past. Fantastic female vocalists! It’s apparent that Christopher Cross didn’t have the young voice we remember from years ago, but that didn’t matter because the music and musicians were fantastic!
The concert was amazing! Christopher, the entire extremely talented bank and even the back up Vocals were absolutely fabulous!! They sounded great and brought back the music I loved so much in my teen years!!!
Great concert. Christopher Cross played mostly from his first two albums, giving the fans what they wanted. Really had fun and enjoyed it immensely!
Christopher Cross - loved his style. Great songs, loved the stories he told. Brought back great childhood memories. Great venue - although the seats could be spread out a bit more, so we wouldn't be sitting on top of each other. Otherwise thoroughly enjoyable.
Wonderful time! We so enjoyed hearing Christopher Cross who has been a favorite of ours for years. He was funny and his voice was beautiful as usual. His backup band and singers were excellent! Had such a great time look forward to him coming back in the future!
This was a really fun evening. It brought back lots a good memories. There's not a bad seat in the house.
Seats were too cramped but Cross put on a nice show
Excellent experience. This was the first time we had the pleasure of seeing Christopher Cross in concert. My wife always wanted to go to one of his concerts and I have it here locally in Tucson was a real treat. Thank you to the Rialto theater for hosting this amazing band and providing us with great talent in our little town.
Let me start by saying the the female backup singers are by far thee best threesome female singers I've heard in a long time. The backing band was incredible while Christopher sounded amazing. They kept the volume low so we heard nothing but the best sound and mix for a live show. Truly an amazing experience, hand down!
If you like his music this is a must see Concert. Great music, had a terrific evening!!
Our small venue, Avalon Theatre, in Grand Junction Colorado is in need of repair because CHRISTOPHER CROSS AND HIS MUSICIANS "BLEW THE ROOF OF THE VENUE"!! The songs, old and new were fantastic, the performance was top notch professionalism and not in anyway a charity case! He spoke of his "Covid Experience" from the stage and the near miss of his demise. It is a perfect platform for him to spread Covid awareness in this land. We loved him 40 years ago, and we love him today!
Christopher Cross put on an outstanding performance. He, his band and backup singers were excellent. 2nd to none. He sang all the hits and new songs too. His encore performance of Laura was full of emotion and a near tear jerker. I'd recommend to anyone that if given the chance to attend his concert. You'll not regret it.
