    Escaped at intermission

by Illinoisdadofteens on 1/2/14Royal George Theatre - Chicago

Wow, was this bad. My wife and I took our two teenage sons, thinking this would be a good holiday show for all of us to enjoy. Boy, were we wrong. We all left (at intermission) wondering what the point was. There was no attempt at humor, but was just an older lady making random comments while running a bingo game. It got to the point that we were all looking at each other and laughing because we could not believe how bad the show was. We left at intermission. The audience was all older but still the only people who seemed to be enjoying the show as one family who was obnoxious, in that they kept making stupid comments, and volunteering for everything. The theater is a small room that is packed full of seats. That would not bother me much if the show was good. But for us, it just made our early exit a little more difficult. This show was really bad. I would not recommend

    Good Family Fun

by MOBrien91 on 1/1/14Royal George Theatre - Chicago

Three generations of my family attended and we all enjoyed the show. It was very funny and engaging. Three different members of our group ended up on stage.

    Boring bingo

by matthewmark on 12/30/13Royal George Theatre - Chicago

Really disappointing. I've sat through funnier parent teacher conferences. Honestly, there were maybe three good laughs in 90 minutes. Maybe four chuckles, and half a dozen smiles.

A cute performance just right for a Christmas break. We had a fun evening.

Christmas Bingo was 2 hrs. of fun!

by leeori on 12/20/13Royal George Theatre - Chicago

This was the funniest Christmas theatre I've ever seen! Engaging, very unique, the whole room had fun with it. You say you went to Catholic School?? Don't miss this and all the wonderful nostalgia it brings back...it's a winner. And you get to keep the bingo prizes! Wait till you see those...:)

    Christmas Bingo was Hilarious!!!

by BabsActg on 12/10/13Royal George Theatre - Chicago

We laughed from beginning to the end of the play. We learned a few things about Christmas, and got to laugh at our friends up on the stage interacting in the play. See it now before it goes away. We all need a good laugh to forget about the chaos of the Holidays!

    Ho Ho Holy Night Bingo

by Santa122413 on 12/3/13Royal George Theatre - Chicago

I thought this was going to be a skit and not a one woman show, all we did was play bingo with a card that you couldn't get the tab to slide over the numbers. The prizes were old and I mean really old albums ( who has record players anymore?)

    It's a holy hoot!

by Hitch2013 on 11/30/13Royal George Theatre - Chicago

We went on opening night with the playwright starring in the lead. She channels an ex-nun leading a church fund-raising Bingo night. She may be ex, but the nun runs through and through. And not Julie Andrews nun-ish. She's a sinner-scolding, ruler-wielding, Chicago-style nun. This interactive play includes real games of Bingo with real prizes: Vintage Christmas LPs, DVDs, Catholic jewelry and more. But be very careful: say something blasphemous (as I did) and you will find yourself standing at the blackboard with your nose in a chalk circle. Great entertainment for all ages.
