Escaped at intermission
by Illinoisdadofteens on 1/2/14Royal George Theatre - ChicagoWow, was this bad. My wife and I took our two teenage sons, thinking this would be a good holiday show for all of us to enjoy. Boy, were we wrong. We all left (at intermission) wondering what the point was. There was no attempt at humor, but was just an older lady making random comments while running a bingo game. It got to the point that we were all looking at each other and laughing because we could not believe how bad the show was. We left at intermission. The audience was all older but still the only people who seemed to be enjoying the show as one family who was obnoxious, in that they kept making stupid comments, and volunteering for everything. The theater is a small room that is packed full of seats. That would not bother me much if the show was good. But for us, it just made our early exit a little more difficult. This show was really bad. I would not recommend
