I've been to Royal George to see Late Nite Catechism and thought it was a whole lot funnier. Maybe I was expecting too much, but I think this show is pale by comparison.
Very funny. We really enjoyed the show. We had teenagers with us, it was nice to not have to worry about the show's content. Funny for all.
A little slow at times - many same type of jokes . Was cute and entertaining, but not over the top funny
Christmas Bingo was a blast. Went with friends and really enjoyed it. Very funny .
Pretty lame show. This one should have been in a church basement for a ticket price of $5.00
Night filled with laughter and fun both from Vicki Quade and the audience participation. Highly recommend!
This was a very entertaining show. Vicki Quade was funny and endearing. fun family and holiday event.
Great fun especially if you came from a Catholic grammar school experience. There were many faiths in the audience and Mrs. O'Brien was wonderful and paid special attention to those of other faiths. Audience interaction is awesome and hilarious. Go Have Fun
Had a great time! Surprised my boyfriend and even he had fun. I highly recommend it. Appropriate for all ages. Really glad we went.
A small theatre on the second floor of the Royal George. The lights are kept on and the show is like a classroom. Prepare to be picked on, especially in the front row.
You do not have to be religious to enjoy this one. You really do get to play bingo. There really are prizes.
Cute show, "Sister was a little hard on Agnostics". Last show of Season so energy level may have been down. Banter with audience reminded me of memories of St. Mark School and Sister Charlotte.
Whether she was quizzing audience members on Christmas trivia, giving them "the look" for outlandish answers or explaining why Tom Cruise will someday die a Catholic despite his famous Scientology, Vicki Quade was perfectly on point throughout this show as Mrs. Mary Margaret O'Brien, an ex-nun now charged with running the Archdiocese's bingo fundraising. If you went to Catholic school, as I did for 17 years, you will howl. If you didn't go to Catholic school, you will still howl--a woman in front of us was Hindu and she was laughing as hard as everyone else.
Excellent production. Very funny but family friendly at the same time. The actress/producer was very funny and quick witted and was able to adapt to the audience. This was very entertaining and I would recommend this!
The show wasn't terrible, but not worth raving about. It's a really cute premise, and for those of us raised Catholic it brings back some funny memories. The lead actress is really good, but she needs to work at keep the crowd a little more in control. At times they took over, and there was no show, just an unruly bunch of drunks and obnoxious people. They need to work at keeping the show rolling. Because of that, we felt it was overpriced.
This is not your average Church gymnasium or basement bingo night. The 'former' nun who runs the game and the solo show will be making you laughing for all of us you have had a Catholic upbringing either if it was Sunday School, CCD or even in full Catholic school will bring back the happy or those hated days. LOL Show gets the audience involved with the Bingo games and you do win prizes. Can't wait to go back to see the regular show.
A fun show. A good way to get into the holiday spirit. A bit of a flashback to Catholic grade school. Vicki Quade is perfect for the role of Bingo caller Mrs. Mary Margaret O'Brien Was very happy to hear that Vicki is raising money to support retired nuns. For all their years of service, they deserve some comfort and security in their later years.
Vicki Quade knows her way around the theatrical pulpit. Playing a former nun leading a Christmas-inspired Bingo match, the LATE NITE CATECHISM co-author and creator of Nuns4Fun Entertainment smoothly transitions from sternly landed, yet caring jabs at engaged audience members while balancing a tome of Biblical knowledge against a deck of rapidly flipped playing cards. Her unflappable delivery kept me giggling. PS Catholic upbringing not necessary.
