Chris Young in Concert
By his 33rd birthday, RCA Records Nashville artist Chris Young has accumulated an impressive list of accomplishments, including membership in the iconic Grand Ole Opry, eleven career No. 1 singles, seventeen R.I.A.A. Gold/Platinum/Multi-Platinum certified projects, 2 Grammy nominations, 3 Country Music Association nominations and 4 Academy of Country Music nominations. As a prolific creator, Chris has given fans 7 studio albums in 12 years including Losing Sleep, his third project in less than two years. The title track is certified Platinum while "Hangin' On" is his ninth No. 1 as a songwriter. Losing Sleep (2017) and I'm Comin' Over (2015) debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums Chart with "I'm Comin' Over" becoming Young's first 2x Platinum single.
Named "one of his era's finest traditionalists" by the Associated Press, Chris has quickly become an international ambassador for country music, performing to capacity crowds around the world including the sold-out C2C Festival in the UK. With a hit-packed set that highlights his eleven chart-toppers — including back-to-back No. 1s "Losing Sleep," "Sober Saturday Night," "Think Of You," and "I'm Comin' Over" — the Grammy and ACM nominated vocalist headlined the Chris Young Losing Sleep 2018 World Tour, with more than 55 arena and amphitheater shows including his first hometown headlining stop at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena playing to a capacity crowd of nearly 14,000 fans, friends and family.
2019 brings new music - the just-released anthem, "Raised On Country," and a new arena headlining tour.
This was my 5th time seeing Chris live. He never fails to put on a good show. He's down to earth and relatable.
He was wonderful. Great mix of songs. His hits and great Christmas songs.
Chris Young was absolutely awesome. Great entertainer. Did not disappoint.
He didn't take the stage until about 8:45. He wasn't convincing with his delivery of any Christmas songs. I understand including generic hits, but "Taking You Home"- is that appropriate for a supposed Christmas show that includes families with young children? Demonstrating with the guitar what the song is about was a bit questionable, too. He abruptly left the stage at 9:47. My impression was he's trying to remain relevant. He failed with this show. That's my opinion.
Great concert..awesome venue. Chris Young didn’t disappoint and a wonderful way to begin the Christmas season!
Chris put on a great show. Just the right mix of country and Christmas music.
When I purchased these tickets, I was very excited to see this show because his Christmas album is one of my favorites. I was particularly looking forward to hearing him perform the song “under the weather“, many people on social media were excited and requesting this song. Instead, it was a very low energy show, with no percussion, and he never performed this popular song. His voice is fantastic and he did have a good rapport with the two gentlemen that were on stage with him. The show was just very slow paced. People did perk up more when he saying his non-Christmas hits. I wish him well. He is very talented, but the show was a miss for me.
This Man(Chris Young)has one of the strongest voices I've ever heard. So real when you hear him sing. His songs are just like you hear on the radio. He Played all the Favorites. Our Son Brandon went Missing in 2013,just disappeared off the side of a desolate highway in Texas. When Chris Recorded "Drowning"it really hit us hard and right at home to make us realize other people are also going through Lifes challenges and that we're not alone. He was found(Our Son)in 2023 but we weren't able to confirm until May of 2025 due to extensive DNA Results. So then "Drowning: was played at His Memorial.Thank You Choctaw Casino for the Great Venue & Thank You Chris Young for a Great Show!
Love Chris Young and was really looking forward to this concert. Happy with the playlist. The acoustics were terrible. I don’t know if it was the venue or if the volume was just too high, but the vocals were garbled. If I didn’t already know the words to his songs, I probably wouldn’t have been able to understand them.
I've seen Mitchell Tenpenney before and his performance was spot on. Chris Young however was difficult to hear, unless it was him acoustical and then his voice shined. He has a very prominent voice and yet, he was difficult to hear over the band. It was my first time seeing him so I was very disappointed.
