About

Chris Young in Concert

By his 33rd birthday, RCA Records Nashville artist Chris Young has accumulated an impressive list of accomplishments, including membership in the iconic Grand Ole Opry, eleven career No. 1 singles, seventeen R.I.A.A. Gold/Platinum/Multi-Platinum certified projects, 2 Grammy nominations, 3 Country Music Association nominations and 4 Academy of Country Music nominations. As a prolific creator, Chris has given fans 7 studio albums in 12 years including Losing Sleep, his third project in less than two years. The title track is certified Platinum while "Hangin' On" is his ninth No. 1 as a songwriter. Losing Sleep (2017) and I'm Comin' Over (2015) debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums Chart with "I'm Comin' Over" becoming Young's first 2x Platinum single.

Named "one of his era's finest traditionalists" by the Associated Press, Chris has quickly become an international ambassador for country music, performing to capacity crowds around the world including the sold-out C2C Festival in the UK. With a hit-packed set that highlights his eleven chart-toppers — including back-to-back No. 1s "Losing Sleep," "Sober Saturday Night," "Think Of You," and "I'm Comin' Over" — the Grammy and ACM nominated vocalist headlined the Chris Young Losing Sleep 2018 World Tour, with more than 55 arena and amphitheater shows including his first hometown headlining stop at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena playing to a capacity crowd of nearly 14,000 fans, friends and family.

2019 brings new music - the just-released anthem, "Raised On Country," and a new arena headlining tour.

    Disappointed

by A Chris Young Fan on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

To clarify, my wife and I are fans of Chris Young. We arrived early settled in for the show and were looking for a good time. From our perspective Chris was not in ideal condition from the start and was not sharp. We were hoping he would get it together. After a few songs, including his #1 hit we decided it was best for us to have an early departure. We listened to Chris Young shuffle on drive to “getting her home.”

It was not worth the money this time.

by Danielle on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

I have seen Chris Young perform and he has been excellent so I bought the tickets without hesitation. When the concert started, the music and singing seemed out of sync and then he kept “forgetting” the words. He did more talking (repeated himself several times) than singing on some songs. It was a complete disappointment and absolutely not worth the ticket price this time. So sad because he has been amazing at other shows. People were leaving 4-5 songs in.

Nice venue not so great performance

by Bianca on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

The venue was very nice and I am a huge Chris young fan and had seen him live previously, however on this occasion he forgot the words to almost all of his songs which lead to many breaks for story interjections. I really love recorded Chris young songs and I know he can sing but this performance was not worth the long drive or money.

    Horrible performance

by Kenzie on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

Chris Young’s performance at Coconut Creek, Florida was extremely disappointing. Chris appeared extremely intoxicated and forgot the words to several of his own songs, 4 or more. His performance lasted less than 1 hour. The venue was great and is the only reason this review is receiving any more than one star.

    Very sad performance!

by Shannys7674 on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

Well I was super excited to see Chris Young again (I've seen him twice before). As I remembered he put on a great show the other two times. I wanted to bring my boyfriend and enjoy our night listening to good music. But, I guess Chris had other ideas. He came out on stage 30 minutes late. He started the first song and mid way through seem to have gotten lost. As the night (only an hour show) went on Chris had a lot of trouble remembering the words to his own songs, which he admitted to twice. I understand that some artists get pitchy and put in different words for different venues, but he FORGOT the words! He seemed drunk or very stoned. This is not the man I've seen before and love his music and voice! That I'm afraid is a career ending performance! I really hope he gets back to the Chris Young everyone enjoys and loves!

    Could of been better

by Nope on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

The stage was small, seating was not ideal for the venue. No opening act. Artist was drunk and forgot the words to his own songs! Definitely not worth what I paid for.

    Not his best

by SZ on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

First off, I'm a huge Chris Young Fan. Have seen him live 4 other times so when I say this was the worst is very disappointing as a fan to say. He forgot the words to his own songs several times. At one point he had to ask the keyboard player the words. He also was behind the music a lot. Don't know if the sound in his monitor was off or something but just wasn't right.

    Not what I expected

by MMS on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

The venue was nice and set up was great. He was 30 min late to the show and appeared to have be out of it; forgetting words to his songs, stopping and having conversation in middle of songs because he forgot the words, etc. many people leaving the concert as a result. Having seen this performer prior was disappointed in the show.

    He forgot the words!

by Jen on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

I adore Chris Young. Love his music. I had great seats, they were not cheap, the weather was beautiful but artist was under the influence. Not sure what he did but, he couldn't sing his songs so I was really disappointed.

    Really Disappointing

by Blue Eyes on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

While I have seen Chris Young many times and find myself listening to him more than anyone else when I scroll thru playlists- this event left me scratching my head. The first several songs the music was so loud and you could hardly hear him. He was off beat and not in tune with the music at all. I wondered if they even performed a sound check. As the songs progressed it was clear that he probably had a few too many drinks which was confirmed by a gentleman sitting near us who knew someone on the inside. Apparently he started drinking at 10am and the concert was at 8pm. Very disheartening when I spent my hard earned money and he forgot lyrics, slurred words, and talked way too much about nothing. I hope these reviews get back to him because it was just so out of character. I also hated that the venue allowed people to congregate and stand in front of our seats when I paid to sit in a front row and they clearly didn’t. I had a medical procedure that didn’t allow me to stand up for the duration which is why I paid extra to sit near the front. It was literally a huge disappointment. I would think twice before I buy tickets for another one of his concerts.

    There's definetly room for improvement

by Webs on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

I felt like something was "off"with Chris Young's performance. He forgot the words several times to his songs and did not sound great live. He stopped so often in the middle of a song to apologize for messing up the word or to just tell a story (you could tell his band members were not expecting it) - felt like it was inappropriate at times and ruined the flow and energy for the songs. I saw Chris Janson at the same venue the week before and the sound, his voice, the energy was MUCH better (and tickets were half the price). It really was a "meh"experience for me. While I like his music, I do not think I would seek him out to hear him play live again, sorry!

    Disappointed

by Christi on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

Started late. Chris Young was clearly intoxicated, forgot the words to multiple songs, could not keep up tempo to the band (and the band was fabulous). Short concert, like an hour and 15 minutes. Disappointed in having made the drive we did for such a pitiful show.

    Disappointed

by JZ on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

Excellent Venue, However Second time seeing Chris in a year and he can no longer hit the notes he once could or even finish a song without his voice breaking. My wife and I were willing to give him a pass after the first show but now that hes done it twice and forgot words to at least 3 songs where he had to stop and ask band members its clear the best version of him is on his records....

    One too many

by Mel on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

At first when the artist came out he sounded great. As the night progressed he paused mid song SEVERAL times stating he forgot the words. Went on different incomprehensible tangents about record labels and nonsense mid song. He CLEARLY was inebriated. I love a party and fun time but I can’t show up to work drunk. Chris young shouldn’t either!!

    Awful Show

by Sean N on 4/22/24The Stage At Coco Outdoors - Coconut Creek

Chris Young was off the whole show, like he was drunk or something. I'm a big Chris Young fan, but this show was awful, and I paid over $100 for this terrible performance.
