    Loved Chris Rock!

by Ali on 12/6/22Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San Diego

Chris Rock was hilarious!!!He was on stage for well over an hour and made fun of everyone and everything! Dave Chapelle was good but appeared to be out of it... and did not stay on stage very long. Chris should have headlined.

Chris Rock and Dave Chapelle Honest Review

by KZ on 12/6/22Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San Diego

I love Chris Rock and Dave Chapelle... my 2 favorite comedians. But the show was just ok. Chris did his thing with a planned set. It was pretty good... not great... maybe 7.5 or 8 out of 10. Then Blackstar came out and this is where the show died! They performed way too long... about 6 or 7 songs that all sounded the exact same. Same beat and inaudible lyrics. Couldnt understand 1 single word. It was like a bad rap concert. I was almost ready to just walk out. I think Dave gave half of his time to Blackstar because his set was short. What was disappointing is that Dave didn't really talk about anything. A lot of improvisation and stories with no point that really weren't that funny. I guess i was just hoping for more political and controversial topics from him. I gave his performance a 5 out of 10. All in all the event was mediocre. And not to sound like a hater... but Would have been way better without Blackstar though.

    Admiration

by LL76 on 12/6/22Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San Diego

The anticipation to see two comedians admired by me and the hubby was exciting and a weekly countdown. But when we finally arrived and seen how great the seats were and witnessing them both in person, and with a great show...wow priceless. Worth every dime!

    Extraordinary double feature

by Mark f on 12/6/22Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San Diego

Both Chris rock and Dave Chapelle pulled no punches. They were amazing. I was laughing from start to finish. The rap musicians weren’t for me, there are much better rappers they could have hired. But Overall, the best comedy event I’ve ever seen.

    Amazing Show

by Nicky on 12/6/22Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San Diego

This was the best comedy event I have ever attended. The DJ was on point, the surprise comedians and musicians were off the chain, and the headliners rocked the house. I cried laughing and sang along with the musicians all night-of course I knew all of their songs because they are my people! The best event ever, and I bought 3 of the hoodies, plus have a gifted face mask, to proce it.

GREATEST COMEDY NIGHT OF MY LIFE

by jihalo on 12/5/22Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San Diego

This was by far the best comedy night I've ever had. The energy, the level of their comedy was just unmatched. How Dave was able to bring back part of Chris' jokes, pure intelligence. The night was unexpectedly complete with the warm up comedians and Black Star.

Chris Rock was great,. Chappell, not as much

by attendee on 12/5/22Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San Diego

Chris Rock was great, and the show included both comedians plus two more and a rap group, all good. But Chappell was a bit of a disappointment. Chris Rock did topical humor, but most of Chappell was about sex and porn. We all know men want to talk about sex, but I didn't pay $460 to listen to someone talk about a nasty porn movie involving Chuck Berry. Really? There are many interesting topical things going on in the world, Chris dealt with them but Chappell sounded like a high school kid talking to his gym buddies. He's an intelligent person, his show proved that, but his act was not what I expected.

    My thoughts…

by Curlgirl on 12/5/22Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San Diego

If I was strictly giving this review for Chris Rock and/or Dave Chappelle I would easily give it 4 stars(especially for Chris Rock) but had to bring the rating down a notch for the horrible opening act and the venue slacking on all levels! Took forever to get in and I’m sure a lot of that had to do with the ridiculous phone rule. I get it and am happy and willing to leave it in my purse at all times or if you HAVE to take it okay, but to have to take smart watches and AirPods (yes, you read that right) seemed a bit excessive. Concession stand lines were ridiculous for food and drinks with many alcohol stands/beer trailers not open. Umm hello, this is a comedy show and a sold out one at that. Good thing Chris and Dave were funny because the rest of the experience was not!

    GREAT SHOW

by KIKI LOVE on 12/4/22Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San Diego

I hope all comedy shows make us lock up our phones. 1) it allows us to PAY ATTENTION & be entertained by the talent! 2) Nobody gets canceled because a clip, that was only meant for those in attendance, was leaked.

    Amazing Show

by JerryA on 12/4/22Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San Diego

Without giving away to much of the surprise, the opening acts were hilarious and Entertaining. Chris Rock put on an amazing set. Dave Chappelle's quick wit, storytelling, and coolness brought it all together. Overall great time. Nice to have a crowd fully engaged and not looking at their phones.

    sooo funny

by cricket on 12/4/22Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San Diego

I knew it was going to be funny! Those two did not disappoint! If you are debating buying tickets to see these two, just do it! It is freakin hilarious. Do not stop, press go! I laughed the whole time. They do take your cell phone and smartwatches and put them in tamper proof cases so you have no access during the show. If you are a crybaby and can't live without your cell phone for 3 hours, then this is not a show for you. They will kick you out. And are very serious about that.

    Two legends and some icons

by Shanks on 12/4/22Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San Diego

Donnell Rawlings was the Guest Host Rich Ingrahm or Graham Ingrahm was the opener but they both killed it. Special Guest was BlackStar and that was great. Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle were Hilarious

    Awesome show. Venue questionable

by Amygirlsandiego on 12/4/22Viejas Arena at Aztec Bowl San Diego State University - San Diego

Beware. The seats on benches mean that if you get there late (30 min before the show) you will not Have a seat if bigger people are also there. We almost had to stand in the back the whole time but a security person let us sit in the handicapped companion folding chairs. Other than that the show was freakin awesome of course. Chris Rock and Chappelle brought. I laughed the whole time.
