CHRIS JANSON IN CONCERT:
Country singer/songwriter Chris Janson is relatively new to the scene, but he's already earning praise as the future of country music. Hot on the heels of his 2013 debut full-length, Janson released follow-up album Take It to the Bank to critical acclaim in 2014, sealing the deal with fiery blue-collar performances that have earned him a reputation as one of the genre's most exciting live acts. Whether he's giving a mean harmonica solo or waxing romantic on songs like "'Til a Woman Comes Along," Janson never fails to captivate his audiences, promising big things to come as he hits the road for his 2014 tour dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in Missouri, Janson was working as a songwriter as early as 18 years old, collaborating with the likes of Guns N' Roses' Bill Anderson and Holly Williams, granddaughter of Hank Williams, Sr. After relocating to Nashville, he landed a year-long residency at Tootsie's Orchid Lounger, where he caught the attention of Neil Young one night with a cover of Young classic "Cortez the Killer." Releasing his self-titled debut album in 2013, Janson landed two singles on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, "Better I Don't" and "Cut Me Some Slack," but it was his unpredictable live performances that really turned heads. Following the early-2014 release of sophomore album Take It to the Bank, Janson hit the road for a highly anticipated tour in support of the record.
Chris Janson was absolutely amazing. I'm not heavily into the "new" country but he was so good! He has raw talent and can really play the harmonica. You will not regret going to see one of his concerts! He is also big into patriotism and family. I had a great time.
The concert started late due to Chris's bus/car issues, but he made up for it. He sounded great, was full of energy, and truly personalized the show. I had never been to this venue before and wasn't sure what to expect. It is intimate and fun. Would love to see Chris again.
Chris was amazing. He had us out of our seats dancing and singing. It was a perfect date night!
Very energetic and appealing performer, and he kept the audience rapt and engrossed for the entire set. I wasn't very familiar with Chris Janson except for his hit Buy Me a Boat, and I really enjoyed his upbeat style and songwriting skills. Also notable is he doesn't use profanity and his shows are family friendly.
This was my second time seeing Chris Janson. The first even was at he Preakness in Baltimore so two totally different venues but he does not disappoint. He had fun with the audience and really made everyone feel like we've known him forever. He has an amazing talent of being able to share his stories from each song. This was an intimate audience, and it made the performance all the better. I can't wait to see him again!
We were of course familiar with Chris' most popular songs but heard many more for the first time. We had an awesome time, loved his song set,and are extremely impressed by the songs he writes. Chris seems like a truly genuine person and that comes through his songs and mannerisms.....what you see is what you get. Love that!!!! We would definitely attend another Chris Janson concert!
It would of been better if there was a big name person with them.
Chris is from my hometown, best concert i have attended in 30 years. Great music, energy. Man is so greatful for where he is. Songs all tell a story of him and family
Not really that good...they both need to steer down the country path and leave the garbage behind!
You fall in love with the energy and overall personality of Chris Janson and his talents with the harmonica / drums were fully on display. Did tire of his voice which was often nasal and piercing. His band was wonderful. The LOCASH vocals were so great and they too have such appealing personalities. Wish they would have headlined.
We had a great time at the Chris Janson concert! Our 3 year olds favorite song is Buy Me A Boat and he had a blast-right up front dancing and playing his air guitar like his life depended on it. Our boy was too shy to go on stage but Chris Janson did try! Chris Janson was fun, entertaining, and very interactive with the crowd. We saw him on a monday night and it was still a great show! I would highly recommend to any country music lovers out there. This guy is the real deal!
Chris Jason is great in concert. He interacts with the audience and makes it fun. Would see him again.
Boyd's Speedway was a great open area for this event. The event workers where very friendly and helpful. I hope to attend more concerts there in the future. It was a wonderful night and a great performance by all artist. I wish Chris Janson the best in the up coming years. He puts on one heck of a show. He is very down to earth and very kid friendly. I loved when he had the young boy join him and play the harmonica with him. That was an awesome thing and very gracious of him to do so. He has all the kids to join on stage at the end of the concert and sing But Me A Boat with him. He will have my families support in his future. #whitetrash #holdenher #buymeaboat

The Concert venue at Boydsspeedway was terrific!!.Loved that they had vip seats. Matt Still well opened up the show. Matt is a very talented artist> I have seen matt 4 tomes and always puts on a great show. The fairviewunion Chad and Kelli then played. I have to tell you these people are the Dynamic duo !!!! Just love love their energy between them!!! Have seen them as well like 4 or 5 times. They will rock the house. Then Chris Janson played !!!. Well he has more energy than anyone . This man is very exciting to see. He is so so talented and can play any instrument . For sure no shortage of crazy wild in him!! Loved it. All three of these artist are super nice people!!!. Love to see that line up again.
The show was better than I ever expected! Very entertaining!
Chris Janson was totally amazing full of spunk, excitement, had a way of reaching out to the old and young at heart with his mixture of songs...We drove 3 hours to see him and at this point would travel even farther to see him again, he has a way of involving the entire crowd into wanting to stand up dance & shout and hands raised high in the air...We all had a great time and his band members are just amazing at the talent they have ...Thank you Chris Janson for the good time we had...
We walked right by Chris Janson as he left his room on his way to the show, almost ran right into he and his wife. We didn't say anything or make a big deal of it, because we didn't wanna be "those people". But after the show he put on and listening to what he had to say to the crowd, we can't promise that we could control ourselves, if there ever is another chance to meet him. Chris now has some HUGE fans! Great music, and he seems like a great guy. The Inn of the Mountain Gods is one of my favorite venues. Beautiful and cozy. Great atmosphere. P.S. That boy can play the hell out of the harmonica. He is the perfect mix of new country, while never forgetting the roots of the genre.
Chris put on an awesome show. I'd only heard of him earlier in March when he opened for Blake Shelton in Nashville. What an inspiring, talented artist. I look forward to his name becoming a household word in the near future. Everyone needs to stop and listen to these new artists, like Chris, coming up in the ranks.
Such a great show! Very intimate venue with a true showman. Chris Janson really brought it and made the show so well worth the money.
