CHRIS JANSON IN CONCERT:
Country singer/songwriter Chris Janson is relatively new to the scene, but he's already earning praise as the future of country music. Hot on the heels of his 2013 debut full-length, Janson released follow-up album Take It to the Bank to critical acclaim in 2014, sealing the deal with fiery blue-collar performances that have earned him a reputation as one of the genre's most exciting live acts. Whether he's giving a mean harmonica solo or waxing romantic on songs like "'Til a Woman Comes Along," Janson never fails to captivate his audiences, promising big things to come as he hits the road for his 2014 tour dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in Missouri, Janson was working as a songwriter as early as 18 years old, collaborating with the likes of Guns N' Roses' Bill Anderson and Holly Williams, granddaughter of Hank Williams, Sr. After relocating to Nashville, he landed a year-long residency at Tootsie's Orchid Lounger, where he caught the attention of Neil Young one night with a cover of Young classic "Cortez the Killer." Releasing his self-titled debut album in 2013, Janson landed two singles on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, "Better I Don't" and "Cut Me Some Slack," but it was his unpredictable live performances that really turned heads. Following the early-2014 release of sophomore album Take It to the Bank, Janson hit the road for a highly anticipated tour in support of the record.
Thought the Friday night lineup was much better than Saturday, although weather was much better Saturday night. Was cool sitting by the water seeing the waves come up.

This was my second time seeing Chris, his show was amazing! Very high energy. I drove 7.5 hours to see him. Everything was great except the seating. This venue was small, and no reason to seat people so far to the left and right of the stage.
This was our family’s 1st country concert. Loved it! What an awesome experience! We had such a good time.
A real entertainer. Enjoys what he does and want audiences to have a good time at his show.
What an incredible night! Chris Janson is an energetic and engaging entertainer. We have gone to the Opry several times to see him and jumped at the chance to see a full concert. Never would have dreamed this night could have gotten any better but when Keith Urban asked Chris to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry that night, we got to watch a piece of country music history being made. Perfection!

Chris is probably the most high energy performer I have ever seen and I have seen him 3 times. He is very humble and appreciative of all his fans and has a great story to tell. He really knows how to get the crowd up on their feet for the entire concert. I just love to watch him perform and his music is awesome and some really true, great stories to tell. I can tell his Drunk Girl is going to be his next number 1 hit. Can't wait to see him again. Having Keith Urban come out to ask Chris to be the newest member of the grand ole opry was a great ending to the night.
Oh my! What a high energy fun evening. So glad we were there. Keith Urban showed up and told Chris that he was going to be the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry. What an emotional moment that was. Chris is such a humble person anyway. Well deserved. Like I said......Fantastic Evening!
Chris Janson is a true performer! He is full energy and loves what he does. He makes sure to involve his audience and make sure they have a great time.

Chris Janson is an outstanding performer! Had the crowd on their feet the entire time. He never disappoints. I was brought to tears during his moving performance of “Holdin’ Her” and then again when Keith Urban surprised him with his invite into the Opry. This man deserves it all!!

Nobody works harder on stage and involves the audience more than Janson. Besides his enormous talent , he had two great opening acts and Keith Urban joined him on stage for a duet and then a surprise Well Deserved invite to join the Grand Ole Opry. Our favorite live country artist.
As usual Chris rocked the house! We took our son & his fiancé who live in Nashville & they said they have never seen the audience at The a Ryman be so wild! The icing on the cake was having Keith Urban As a surprise visitor on stage and the surprise invitation from the Grand Ol Opry inviting Chris to be a member.
We saw Chris open for Merle Haggard at the Ryman and loved him! Then in December of 2017, we saw Chris open for Garth Brooks at Bridgestone, and fell in love again! His talent is amazing. On the way home from the Garth concert, my husband told me that if Chris Janson ever had his own concert, he wanted to go see him. Shortly after that, I learned that Chris was headlining a concert at the Ryman. I bought tickets, wanting to give my husband an early Valentine's surprise. Again, we were in awe of Chris's talent. He brings such enthusiasm for life and for the music, for his family and for his fans. It's a winning combination that just makes you fall in love with the man and the musician! This night was already magical, but became even more so when it was announced that Chris was being invited to join the Opry. Of course, the announcer of the invitation, Keith Urban, helped to make this an even more unforgettable evening!
From beginning to end the entire show was AMAZING! Delta Rae harmonies were phenomenal. High Valley & Chris Janson took us to church with a few songs in the mother church. Keith Urban as a special guest... WOW! Chris Janson is a must see - full of energy and very entertaining, had the entire crowd on it's feet ALL night long. To sum it up... Great atmosphere, amazing concert, and to witness Keith Urban inviting Chris Janson to be the next member of the OPRY was the hilight of the night - well deserved.
This was my second time to see Chris Janson so I knew it would be a great show but it was sooo much more than I expected! He is so engaging and energetic. He is sincerely appreciative of his fans. It was already a great concert but then I had the privilege of seeing Keith Urban giving Chris the invitation to be a member of the Grand Ole Opry! Chris was speechless and humbled! I'm so proud for him! What a honor! So glad I was there to witness that special moment!
