CHRIS BOTTI IN CONCERT:

Trumpet virtuoso Chris Botti has made a lasting impression on his audiences ever since his first touring gig with Frank Sinatra in the '80s. The trumpeter's style and grace can't be matched as he fills the room with the sounds of his 1939 Handcraft brass trumpet, spellbinding audiences with the instrument's rich tones. The Grammy Award winner has played with a number of legendary artists including Sting and Andrea Bocelli, captivating audiences with signature hits like "Regroovable" alongside classics like "Ave Maria." Chris Botti never fails to disappoint, and he's sure to take fans on a musical journey they won't soon forget with his string of 2014 tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Influenced by his mother's musical background, Chris Botti began playing the trumpet at age nine, but it wasn't until he heard the classic Miles Davis track "My Funny Valentine" several years later that he decided to pursue a career in music. During his senior year at Indiana University, Botti toured with Frank Sinatra, which led to a number of gigs with famous artists like Paul Simon, Aretha Franklin and Natalie Cole. Since then, he's released ten studio albums — seven have reached Top 10 spots on the Billboard Jazz chart — and sold three million records. He's also been the host of the radio show Chill With Chris Botti and performed with the Boston Pops Orchestra alongside John Mayer, Josh Groban, and Yo-Yo Ma. Back on the road in 2014, the trumpet virtuoso is set to captivate fans on his highly anticipated world tour.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Chris Botti and his group are the best of the best in the arena of ultra-talented musicians. Of course the handsome man with the horn never lets his audience down. Even though he performs 300 days a year, he gives the audience his all as though it's one show just for them."

"Not only does Chris Botti shine with his talents, he has top notch musicians and a singer to make it an overall outstanding, entertaining evening. ...will definitely try to see the next show!"

"Chris Botti was charming in relating to the audience, and put on a spectacular display of musicianship. He's one of, if not the best, at his craft."

  • It was okay

by Malik on 9/22/25Paramount Theatre - DenverRating: 3 out of 5

They replaced the theater seats for hard chairs, for at least 15 rolls. Very uncomfortable. The roll of hard seats is obstructing the view of the first roll soft theater seats. The last roll of hard chairs need to be eliminated to help even out the view. It's a beautiful theater. However the hard chairs take away from the comfort and nostalgia once enjoyed by many

  • Great show with a lots of diversity, violin, vocals, guitar

by Mark on 9/21/25Paramount Theatre - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

See review title. I should say trumpet! Muted and pure by Chris. Wow! Did not expect so much music and great combos.

  • Delightful evening

by Suzie on 9/21/25Paramount Theatre - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

When Chris Botti performed at Chautauqua, it was magical night this year at the Paramont again made for memorable evening. The venue was perfect. I just wished I had known that when three huge people sit in front of you. It’s not possible to see because the seats are not on an incline. I would’ve preferred sitting in the mezzanine.

  • Seen better

by Bottifan on 9/21/25Paramount Theatre - DenverRating: 3 out of 5

First of all, it will be the last time we ever see a show at the Paramount. The last three concerts we’ve seen there have been horrible. The sound is the worst. They need to do something about that and the venue itself for being an icon they have let it go to pot. As far as Chris Botti is concerned this was the fourth time we’ve seen him and it wasn’t up to snuff that’s for sure. Very disappointed in a lot of ways. Total fan hopefully it was just an off night and the venue was not acceptable.

  • Chris Botti and friends concert

by Bob on 9/21/25Paramount Theatre - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

Chris brought a great show to the Paramount this week. The show was very eclectic with a great variety of talent. Along with his trumpet playing there was a fabulous violin player, an amazing female jazz vocalist, and a great make vocalist. The bass player and piano/organ player were excellent additions to his quartet. Top it off with an incredibly talented drummer who had the audience thoroughly captivated. The venue is undergoing some changes and the orchestra seating was a bit uncomfortable. However, once the concert started all thoughts of discomfort soon disappeared.

  • Fabulous performance

by Luna on 8/11/25Jimmy's Jazz and Blues Club - PortsmouthRating: 5 out of 5

Chris Botti is a superstar performer. The smaller venue at jimmy’s jazz club was perfect for his show. He always delivers a great show and I look forward to seeing him again.

  • Supercooler Gathers Young Electricity

by JP on 8/11/25Jimmy's Jazz and Blues Club - PortsmouthRating: 5 out of 5

I went for Botti's extraordinary tone. He delivered. Then he surprised me by showcasing remarkable new talents – piano, bass, violin, voice. Botti brings ultracool, while long-time drummer Lee Pearson brings crackling electricity. Unbelievable performers!

  • Perfect evening, if such a thing exists

by Chrissy on 8/11/25Jimmy's Jazz and Blues Club - PortsmouthRating: 5 out of 5

One of many Botti concerts attended over the years, @ The Blue Note, in Boston, and now here at Jimmy’s. This one was shorter than most I’d say, but I know he had a second set, so understandable, Chris, as are we all, is getting up there! Jimmy’s is just about the best place for jazz, or any concert I imagine, very comfortable, gracious servers, and a sound system that really delivers.

  • Jimmy's Jazz & Blues

by Woodzy on 8/10/25Jimmy's Jazz and Blues Club - PortsmouthRating: 5 out of 5

Chris Botti was outstanding and seeing him in a club like Jimmy's made it extra special. If you want to experience the best upscale, classy, small venue in New England to hear live music head to Portsmouth New Hampshire, Jimmy's will not disappoint.

  • Chris Botti at Jimmy’s

by Ellives on 8/10/25Jimmy's Jazz and Blues Club - PortsmouthRating: 4 out of 5

Show was good. The guest artists included in the show were fantastic. Sy Smith is incredible. We would’ve liked to see more of Chris Botti but the show was nevertheless good.

  • Not just a Jazz Concert

by T&T on Napa Holiday on 7/30/25Blue Note Summer Sessions - NapaRating: 5 out of 5

Chris Botti is an amazing and engaging musician. He brings incredibly talented musician and singers to his stage and unselfishly share the spotlight with them, all the while bringing the audience along. More than a concert, Botti and his band and musical friends are an experience not to be missed!!!

  • Great music in a great venue

by Lydia M on 7/30/25Blue Note Summer Sessions - NapaRating: 4 out of 5

Chris Botti never disappoints. He has a great ensemble when he performs. Not just fantastic musicians but quest vocalists that are extremely talented. Sometimes his musicians sing solos as well. This concert had it all; from violinists to classical guitar to great keyboardist.

  • Great show!

by Sandra on 7/30/25Blue Note Summer Sessions - NapaRating: 5 out of 5

Chris Botti always puts on a great show and this one was no exception. Great musicians, great vocalists and a great venue. The wine was very pricey though... Oh, and bring a jacket - it got cold!

A wonderful (relaxing) evening of music at the St. George Theater. Chris Botti never fails to please and his guests were superb. We left the theater thinking this show was one of the best (and we have seen many) at this particular venue.

  • A wonderful evening

Chris Botti is a musical artist and an excellent host. This was my 3rd show, and my second at St. George. His music and musicians are always varied, unique, and very entertaining. Great nite overall. The only drawback is that it couldn’t go on forever!!!!!
