About

CHRIS BOTTI IN CONCERT:

Trumpet virtuoso Chris Botti has made a lasting impression on his audiences ever since his first touring gig with Frank Sinatra in the '80s. The trumpeter's style and grace can't be matched as he fills the room with the sounds of his 1939 Handcraft brass trumpet, spellbinding audiences with the instrument's rich tones. The Grammy Award winner has played with a number of legendary artists including Sting and Andrea Bocelli, captivating audiences with signature hits like "Regroovable" alongside classics like "Ave Maria." Chris Botti never fails to disappoint, and he's sure to take fans on a musical journey they won't soon forget with his string of 2014 tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Influenced by his mother's musical background, Chris Botti began playing the trumpet at age nine, but it wasn't until he heard the classic Miles Davis track "My Funny Valentine" several years later that he decided to pursue a career in music. During his senior year at Indiana University, Botti toured with Frank Sinatra, which led to a number of gigs with famous artists like Paul Simon, Aretha Franklin and Natalie Cole. Since then, he's released ten studio albums — seven have reached Top 10 spots on the Billboard Jazz chart — and sold three million records. He's also been the host of the radio show Chill With Chris Botti and performed with the Boston Pops Orchestra alongside John Mayer, Josh Groban, and Yo-Yo Ma. Back on the road in 2014, the trumpet virtuoso is set to captivate fans on his highly anticipated world tour.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Chris Botti and his group are the best of the best in the arena of ultra-talented musicians. Of course the handsome man with the horn never lets his audience down. Even though he performs 300 days a year, he gives the audience his all as though it's one show just for them."

"Not only does Chris Botti shine with his talents, he has top notch musicians and a singer to make it an overall outstanding, entertaining evening. ...will definitely try to see the next show!"

"Chris Botti was charming in relating to the audience, and put on a spectacular display of musicianship. He's one of, if not the best, at his craft."

  • Simply Incredible

by MB on 9/29/25Rating: 5 out of 5

The concert has to be in the top ten performances I have ever attended. Going into it, I was already a fan, but my partner had only limited experience with his music. From his opening till the end of the show, neither one of us expected such a stellar performance. It was fun, moving, emotional, surprising and completely flawless. Both his sets had something for everyone. Jazz, Pop, Funk, as well as beautiful classical including a couple songs by a wonderful tenor. Chris performing with The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra certainly was a concert that left you wishing for more. Hopefully his next time in Atlanta will not be too far off.

  • What a fun evening

I discovered Chris Botti when I was traveling in Italia back in the early 2000’s. When I saw that he was going to be playing with the symphony in my home town, I was so excited. Such a wonderful evening and now I have that checked off of my bucket list.. 🙏😎🎶🩷☮️🍷

  • An Excellent Experience

by JoyJoy on 9/28/25Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

The Chris Botti Concert with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra was an excellent experience. The crisp sound of the trumpet, and other instruments, especially strings, and voices were like I have never heard in other concerts nor on recordings. The range of selections and the guest vocal artists brought delight to my spirit and soul. I do not plan to miss another Chris Botti Concert here.

  • Amazing

by Lin on 9/28/25Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

I have enjoyed Botti's music for a few years. This was my first time experiencing him live. It was wonderful and his selected band and singers were awesome as was the Symphony Orchestra. My husband did not know what to expect and once home he looked up Botti's history and has become a fan!

  • I thought I got tix for a Chris Botti concert...

What can I say... Chris Botti was technically there, even participated a little.

  • Fabulous Concert

by JMS on 9/28/25Atlanta Symphony Hall - AtlantaRating: 5 out of 5

Chris Botti's 2025-26 tour is off to an amazing start! This was a wonderful concert, even though there appeared to be a problem with the sound system in the beginning. The musicians he has accompanying him are all amazing performers. Botti interacted with the audience on several occasions and it appeared as everyone was enjoying the performance. This is the third time I've been to one of his concerts. He just keeps getting better!!!!

  • Great Music in Montgomery!

Wonderful show with a night of magic in Montgomery!

  • AWESOME

by W.R.Benard on 9/27/25Montgomery Performing Arts Centre - MontgomeryRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I truly enjoyed the concert and the guest that came with him. It was a hit. More jazz artist should be invited to Montgomery, such as Gregory Porter.

  • Cris Botti's Montgomery 9-24-25

by Denise on 9/27/25Montgomery Performing Arts Centre - MontgomeryRating: 5 out of 5

It was my distinct pleasure to experience for the first time in concert the Virtuoso Chris Botti!! I have a lot of his music. I hope he comes back and performs with the Montgomery Symphony Orchestra. I really like the surprise guest artists as well. What was really special was when he invited the young musicians to the front rows and ministered to them. I wish he could have played some of his earlier renditions such as "Irresistible Bliss"or "Through Tin Hearts". Well done Mr. Botti. I know you have experienced many ups and downs in your life and your victory over those life circumstances manifests in the way you emote through your horn. Be safe in your travels and God bless you!!

  • Excellent!

by Jane on 9/27/25Montgomery Performing Arts Centre - MontgomeryRating: 5 out of 5

He was everything and more than I expected. It was a wonderful evening of music performed by very talented musicians. I loved how he engaged with the audience and even joined the audience afterwards for photos. I have been a fan for a long time and so glad I had this opportunity to hear him perform on stage.

  • Our first live Botti performance was disappointing…

by PGD61 on 9/24/25Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - BoiseRating: 2 out of 5

While the talent of all performers involved was amazing, we came to the concert to hear Chris Botti live for our first time. We found that his playing time was quite a bit less than what we had hoped for and expected. Given the early sound issues and choppy performance interruptions, we thought that the concert length would be extended as a gesture of good will, yet the performance started a bit late and finished a bit early (even with an encore). We came to Boise from an international destination solely for this concert. Given the price of our concert seats, combined with our travel, food and accommodation costs, we were disappointed with our first Botti experience.

  • Phenomenonal, as always!

by Cybthia on 9/24/25Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - BoiseRating: 5 out of 5

He and his musicians and guests are always phenomenal! The evening did not disappoint! He loves his fans and always makes sure to give them 110%!!

  • Disapointed

by Cole on 9/24/25Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - BoiseRating: 2 out of 5

the entire concert was like a rehearsal. Many interruptions for sound adjustments. The band and guests played more than Chris. Many empty seats and allowed the crowd to come forward. Irritated as I paid for premium seats. Botti phoned in this performance. I have seen him before in Monterey, CA and he was great then.

  • Great Jazz by Jazz Great

by pjthom on 9/24/25Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - BoiseRating: 5 out of 5

The Chris Botti concert was excellent. The evening started off with a short piece by Botti and the band and then him inviting young musicians to move to empty seats close to the stage. All the music was top-notch, and the guest musicians were talented and fun to watch and hear. There was just the right amount of improv to keep the concert interesting, without becoming tiresome. The only thing I would change would be hearing a little more of Chris Botti on his own, although I do applaud his generous inclusion of other musicians and his willingness to share the spotlight. All in all a great night of Jazz!

  • The Best!!!

by Mamafish on 9/24/25Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - BoiseRating: 5 out of 5

Chris Botti has been my favorite artist for a great number of years. His performances never disappoints and I love the other artists he brings in with him. This time, I bought a ticket for a friend who wasn’t familiar with Chris and she is now a big fan. I just wish he’d come to Boise more frequently,

  • A magical night with Chris Botti

by Deborah Hertzog on 9/24/25Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - BoiseRating: 5 out of 5

Confession—I was a first-timer attending Chris Botti’s performance in Boise. I bought a single ticket, excited to hear this renowned trumpeter and to broaden my musical horizons. I appreciate jazz but frequently gravitate to live theatre, often musical theatre. Chris Botti’s performance, along with his special guests, was spectacular. I could have listened ( and danced) all night! Already looking for the next opportunity to hear Chris. Blue Note New York!

  • wouldn’t book another one of his shows

by KMR on 9/24/25Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - BoiseRating: 3 out of 5

We have seen him in the past and very much enjoy the Morrison Center but this concert left a lot to be desired. Mr. Botti seemed to spend more time walking around supervising (in a bit of an arrogant way) his other band members and guest appearances than playing music. The guest performers were very good and enjoyable but definitely will not spend money to see him again. We saw another jazz musician in a smaller venue this past year, completely different fun vibe exoerience.

  • A Wish Realized

by EllieMack on 9/24/25Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - BoiseRating: 5 out of 5

I have wanted to see Chris Botti in concert for many years, and especially after listening to his “Live in Boston” Concert. The performance at the Morrison Center was excellent. Not only did Chris shine, but also the 4 additional performers he included, and his own musicians. I loved every minute of it, and hope I can experience his music again in the future.

  • Great show!

by Don on 9/23/25Paramount Theatre - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

Botti is, of course, a master trumpteer whose skills never cease to amaze me. He also has the ability to assemble a great band and put on a fabulous show. My only disappointment was the size of the audience, which was far smaller than warranted by the venue and this wonderful performance.
