About

Chicago, at first dubbed The Chicago Transit Authority, immediately stood out due to their unique, horn-driven instrumentation and top-notch songwriting, a combination that quickly found a home on  free-form FM radio in the late '60s. After 45-plus years in business, Chicago's music has never left the airwaves and the band remains on tour more often than not, playing concerts in every corner of North America. With a catalog of hits  including "Saturday in the Park," "Beginnings," "If You Leave Me Now," "Baby What a Big Surprise," "You're the Inspiration," and "Hard Habit To Break," fans are always eager to snap up tickets to catch one of the most successful American rock bands in history. Four members of the group's current lineup -- vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Robert Lamm and horn section members Lee Loughnane, James Pankow and Walter Parazaider -- date back to Chicago's formation in 1967. Even today, the band isn't just about nostalgia; Chicago continues to record new singles and albums regularly.

  • Chicago-Bank of Nh pavilion Gilford Nh

by Pap on 8/4/25BankNH Pavilion - GilfordRating: 3 out of 5

Chicago was great! Best concert ever. Bank of NH Pavilion is a total ripoff. Bring your credit card. No cash. Extremely overpriced food and beverages. Most I’ve ever spent on a beer or soda. Ripoff parking. Place used to be reasonable. Too bad. Gougers…..

  • where was the regular trombone player?

    by spydr716 on 8/4/25BankNH Pavilion - GilfordRating: 3 out of 5

I LOVE the regular trombonist!! Have a crush! Where was he? The show was lackluster without him!

  • So authentic

They sounded just like you remember. Every note. Perfect.

  • Incredible Performance!

by Rick on 8/4/25BankNH Pavilion - GilfordRating: 5 out of 5

I love Chicago's music and have always wanted to see them - so tis was a bucket list item for me. As much as I enjoy their music on the radio or via Spotify - it is so much more impressive in person! The talent is amazing and the power and energy from a 10 piece band must be seen to be appreciated. Just an amazing all around experience. I've always been a big fan of the venue (Bank of NH Pavilion) and have been going there for many years. It has become far more corporate than in the past which has resulted in significant price increases from parking, to tickets and concessions. For that reason, I don't see as many shows as in the past, but the venue has a great vibe tat I still enjoy.

  • Great show by a great band

by Frank and Lynn on 8/4/25BankNH Pavilion - GilfordRating: 5 out of 5

Having the chance to see Chicago back in college days and saying wow they were awesome. And just the other day, having the chance to say OMG these guys are still great. Chicago def. knows how to play to its audience. They were totally into their fans and did a great job performing. It was def. worth every penny and so happy to see them.

  • terrific event

    by rick_nek_vt on 8/4/25BankNH Pavilion - GilfordRating: 5 out of 5

band was superb, vocals and instruments hit the bullseye. played mainly hits with only a few missing. my second show at this venue and it's my favorite, so well run. paid to car-camp, no campers within 50 yards of me, i even had solo use of a port-a-potty. they shuttle people to and from campites and the gate. they think of everything.

  • Chicago still kickin it after almost 50 years

by EJ the DJ on 8/4/25BankNH Pavilion - GilfordRating: 5 out of 5

What a great show and experience. The lead singing was amazing and all members do backing vocals during different songs and were phenomenal. Two original members on trumpet and trombone with the multi talented sax, flute and clarinet player was outstanding. You forget how many great songs they have in their repertoire until you listen to them. They were on our bucket list and finally got to see and experience their live show. One of the best live shows I’ve seen and was overjoyed. If you have seen them before then this nothing new for you, but you haven’t been to a Chicago performance, you need to while they are still able to perform. 77, 78 and 80 years old are the last original members so I think the window to see them is closing soon. Two encores, dual drums solo and the most incredible horn playing you will see in a rock concert, don’t miss this rare chance to see these guys. Bravo.

  • Great!

by Deena on 8/4/25Maine Savings Amphitheater - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was Great! The voices, the horns, the drums, the guitars, the keyboards, and SO many hits! I would highly recommend this concert to anyone. I was amazed at how the singers still sounded just like the "old days"- that their voices seem just as fresh as ever. Truly amazing! The horns were superb. And the drum DUO was incredible. Every member of that band was just FANTASTIC - Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!!

Chicago came right on time. Had one break and came back refreshed. We were dancing and had a blast. Venue should have larger screens and more of them

  • Chicago

by Joanne on 8/4/25BankNH Pavilion - GilfordRating: 5 out of 5

We saw Chicago in Laconia, NH this past Friday and they were fantastic. All our favorite songs were sung. The music was awesome and they played for quite a while. I will definitely see them again if they come back next year.

  • Excellent show at the NH Pavilion

by palama on 8/4/25BankNH Pavilion - GilfordRating: 5 out of 5

After 58 years, Chicago proved that some things really do get better with age. This year's show hit a whole new level. With decades of experience, they delivered a performance that was out of this world. What a great concert!

  • Fantastic!

by Dave on 8/4/25BankNH Pavilion - GilfordRating: 5 out of 5

Great overall experience!! Bank of NH Pavilion is a wonderful venue. The staff was super helpful with my wife’s wheelchair and service dog. The band performed spectacularly!

  • Great show

by PJ on 8/4/25Maine Savings Amphitheater - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

It started out a bit slow with a heavy amount of instrumental music, most of which I wasn't familiar with. After the break, they came back and played all of the old stuff I was hoping to hear. Really impressive show, especially considering some of their ages. Took my back to my teens and 20s

  • Love Them

by JRo on 8/4/25Maine Savings Amphitheater - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

This is the second time that we have seen them in concert and they never disappoint. They still have got it in their late 70s. Highly recommend going to see them, its all the songs you remember from movies, commercials and your life growing up.

  • Iconic

by Connie on 8/4/25Maine Savings Amphitheater - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

Excellent musicians! Great playlist! All of the favorite songs from the 70’s and 80’s! Beautiful evening in every way!

  • Great show but concession's is obviously price gouging.

    by Nate99z on 8/3/25Maine Savings Amphitheater - BangorRating: 4 out of 5

Chicago was great. Great singer. $10 for a water $20+ for the worst mixed drink you’ll ever have. Maine Saving should be ashamed. Unbelievable.

  • VeryHappy!

The concert was joyful! The music was great of course. The original members were so happy to be performing; their fun was our fun. A great night.

  • Wow!

by Bear on 8/3/25Maine Savings Amphitheater - BangorRating: 5 out of 5

The band was tight, the vocals were spot on, and the crowd was jumping! We’ll definitely get tickets to the next show that’s nearby!

  • Still got it!
