    So much holiday fun!

    by J. J. on 12/20/19Landmark Theatre - Syracuse

I purchased tickets as an early Christmas gift for my husband, who can recite every line from the movie. How fun to be in a theater packed with 2000 other fans who could ALSO recite every line! Seeing Chevy and hearing stories about filming was a blast! A great time was had by all!

Glad I got to see him

by CC on 12/18/19The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - Irving

I love Chevy Chase. Grew up with him and he reminds me of my dad. I jumped at the chance to see him live and here stories. His wife is the moderator and read questions that audience members submitted when they entered the venue. My husband and I enjoyed the experience and seeing/hearing him in person. I would have loved to hear more stories about filming the Vacation movies.

by 1Slice on 12/17/19The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - Irving

It was a Experience that was great , he was the best in Fletch where he was his true self in the acting script. He goes over lots of history which was very interesting. Glad I got to see him live.

    Great show, need better parking

by MTx on 12/17/19The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - Irving

First visit to venue. Great place. Staff great. Seating great. Show was great. Parking was with Parkwhiz. Ticket said parking available at 4. Wanted to walk around and check out the area, arrived at 4. No way to get in parking garage. Called Parkwhiz support. Support person was polite and tried to help. She said they have no direct contact with parking place, only a general number which she called and got an answering machine Confirmed 4 pm was the time they were given by parking place. Offered a $10 future credit. Eventually a guard showed up at the garage a bit before 5 and started letting people in. I saw other people circling trying to get in so i was not the only one confused and trying to park. Lower rating was for parking problem.

    Chevy Chase

by Eddy on 12/17/19The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - Irving

The venue food was terrible. Overpriced, and the bag of popcorn I purchased had an expiration date that expired a month ago. The Q&A was not good. Mr Chase was unkempt and had difficulty keeping his train of thought. We still love him, but would not pay to see him again.

Wish he did this 10 years ago

by Scott on 12/17/19The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - Irving

As a Chevy fan we were really looking forward to this. It was kind of sad to see how he’s aged and not 100% with it. Still love Chevy..

    Chevy Chase

by Tausha L. on 12/16/19The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - Irving

He was amazing! His wife was our host for the evening and she asked the questions from the audience to Chevy. She kept him on topic and kept the conversation flowing. It was an awesome evening!

    Hot Mess

by Bob on 12/16/19The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory - Irving

Chevy should have come out before the movie. Shared tidbits about the movie and cast. Take a few pre-written audience questions which he had time to review. No moderator, just Chevy. His wife couldn’t moderate a second grade debate. He was hard to understand, slurring words & we thought he was high or drunk. Many people left early as did we. Movie was fun to watch but we came to hear from Clark and got screwed... Highly disappointed. Don’t waste your money.

    Great night with a legend

    by MB on 12/15/19

We went to see Chevy in Dallas, Texas. We watched Christmas Vacation then Chevy did the Q&A after. It was great watching the movie with other huge fans. Many people shouted out the lines. Great energy in the room! Chevy was interviewed his wife, Jayni Luke. She was lovely and kept the evening moving along. Chevy told several awesome stories as he answered questions that the audience had submitted. A very fun night! Glad I went.

    Lackluster experience

by Andy on 11/20/19The Santander Performing Arts Center - Reading

So this event had so much potential to be something awesome.... But it wasn’t. Chevy not only took the stage 15 minutes late but he didn’t even talk for an hour. His mic was low & he was barely understandable half the time. Now if I paid $20 for this event I wouldn’t have cared but the cheapest priced tickets were $70 & went as high as $300. I went with the $70 & I still feel robbed of my money. I could only imagine if I paid for. I went there to hear insight & Chevy’s thoughts on CHRISTMAS VACATION. Instead he refrained from answering any questions about it. In that less than an hour time, I probably learned only 2-3 things about Christmas Vacation, what a let down! All he wanted to do was talk about SNL, Caddyshack, & The Three Amigos which I could care less about. Clearly Chevy is not a fan of Christmas Vacation for whatever reason, so they shouldn’t have brought him in to talk about it. If the theater didn’t play the movie itself, it would have been an absolute bust & it’s the only reason I gave it two stars. I love Clark Griswold but I don’t love Chevy Chase. Last time I’ll ever go to an event like this.

Love Chevy but not sure he loves me

by D. R. on 11/19/19The Santander Performing Arts Center - Reading

Christmas Vacation is among my favorite holiday movies, so I was more than excited to experience an evening with Chevy Chase. Having attended a similar event with John Cleese and viewing of the Holy Grail, I had high hopes of what the evening could be. Unfortunately, the event was very uneven. Chevy did not seem interested in being part of the interview. Many times he was incoherent or lost his thought mid-sentence. In fairness, sometimes it appeared that he was trying to set up a joke. A few times it worked, more times did not. At other times, Chevy stories were funny and interesting. But each of those was sprinkled with moments of awkwardness. The highlight of the evening was viewing the movie with a theatre filled with people who also love the film. As a huge fan of Chevy Chase, I am not disappointed to have attended, but I also cannot recommend the experience.

An amazing evening with the Griswolds!

by BcOneSeven on 11/19/19The Santander Performing Arts Center - Reading

The venue is outstanding! Recommend parking and staying at the DoubleTree Hotel, which is within walking distance. The hotel offers a shuttle as well. Plenty of dining options, but you can’t go wrong by eating right at the Cheers American Bistro in the hotel. There is probably not a bad seat in the house at the theater. Employees were friendly and plentiful. Good craft beer and wine choices. Ticket purchase through Ticketmaster was quick and smooth, as was paperless entry. Photo op could have been a bit more “personal,” but the pictures were great. Chevy was awesome and did a great job of priming the crowd. Of course, Christmas Vacation was awesome!

    Not what expected

by Schmitty on 11/19/19The Santander Performing Arts Center - Reading

I felt that the Q&A could have been formatted a little better to suit Chevy. A lot of questions were asked of Chevy that he couldn't remember. Nothing against him because I love his work but he is 76 and has done so many things that some of this should've been rehearsed and then wing the rest. Not wing it all. Also, it advertised that Chevy would come back out after the movie but he did not. And then I feel there should have been an option that you could have purchased there to have your picture taken with him.

    expecting more

by chrisA on 11/19/19The Santander Performing Arts Center - Reading

Was a little disappointed with this program. Chevy hardly spoke about the move (Christmas Vacation) and all it was, was him being interviewed by some dude, then showed the movie. It was like paying 90 bucks a ticket to go to the movies. I thought Chevy would stick around for the movie and give us some insight to the scenes as they played, or tell us some stories about filming it. Kinda a waste. Could have just watched an interview and the movie on TV at home and saved 200 bucks.

    Disappointed

by Tina R on 11/19/19The Santander Performing Arts Center - Reading

Don’t pay extra for the VIP photo with Chevy. He doesn’t look at you or say hi. There is no interaction what so ever. You walk in , stand next to him and a photo is taken then you leave. He doesn’t even smile. I looked at all the photos and he looks null and void. I guess lesson learned, celebrities could care less about us fans.

    Lousy Evening with Chevy Chase

by t. k. on 11/19/19The Santander Performing Arts Center - Reading

Do yourself a favor and save your money. The movie is fantastic. Mr. Chase, not so much. The photo op is really a cattle call, as you're rushed through and Mr. Chase does not even acknowledge your existence. Not a hello, not a handshake, not a single utterance. Mr. Chase just sits in a chair and looks straight ahead the entire time. Everyone was complaining about the experience in the lobby. His Q&A session wasn't much better, as Mr. Chase barely answered a direct question or would just blow by certain other questions. A HUGE disappointment.

    He’s Chevy Chase, I’m not.

by Steve p on 8/19/19Kodak Center - Rochester

I have always liked his movies. I thought it was an odd choice for the movie, but it was entertaining. Occasionally he seemed to drift from the subject, but this was the first show of the tour, and the gentleman from channel 8, did a great job keeping him on subject. In all I was glad I went.it was very laid back, and it was nice that he answered questions that were shouted out by the audience.
