This was soo bad last year. He is very old and his wife answers most of the questions…
The Q&A starts immediately after the movie has ended. Chevy comes out to the stage with his wife Jayni. The Caddyshack commentary and stories was great. Afterwards I purchased an autographed Caddyshack hat and some stickers. I would like to mention approximately 35 minutes after making my first purchases at the store. I decided to go back and buy another sticker and at that time all the Chase's were there minus Chevy. While I was trying to buy another sticker, Jayni (Chevy's wife) was giving me a dirty look. I didn't talk to them or even make eye contact. I just wanted to buy another sticker and leave. I thought it was rude.
It was nice to see Chevy after the movie, but he was off. It was sad to see that he struggled to answer questions that were asked and seemed forgetful. His wife had to step in and help him out repeatedly. So, I can watch the movie at home in the comfort of my living room (as the seats in the theater were hard and uncomfortable) and leave behind the discomfort I felt in watching Chevy not be his best self.
In addition the movie after 20 minutes became apparent was not sync w/ dialogue and nothing was done to fix...very disappointed
Was not happy with the show for the price of tickets. They didn’t have a big screen for us to see Chevy Chase on. Couldn’t see his face or expressions at all, looked like ants sitting on a stage. Could only hear him talking. Not worth the money!! Sad presentation on DeVos part also.
It's sad, and it's only natural, but Chevy Chase is yet another victim of old age. He's not even recognizable; not even his voice. He was unable to answer most of the questions presented to him, without prompting by his very lucid and caring wife. Understandably, most very tall men, over the age of 75, are moderately crippled (both physically and mentally), and he was no exception. The interview lasted about an hour after the movie was presented, and it was truly a struggle not to leave my expensive seat prematurely. I suppose I sat there out of respect. Looking back at this experience, I would rather have given my $100 to charity, than witness this sadly pathetic presentation. My sympathies to his wife, and to the thousands of patrons who shelled out $100 that night.
We had a great time! This is my all time favorite Christmas movie and it was such a pleasure to see Chevy Chase live!!
If I knew this was predominately be an interview with his wife, I would have passed.
It was spectacular watching Christmas Vacation on the big screen, even though I have seen it thousands of times! Not impressed with the q&a after! The interviewer was not engaging and questions lame! Chevy seemed a little lost!
Ya know, we love the movie. We were so excited to be there and watch it! When it came down to the Q and A that’s where we wanted to have more. I had NO idea you had to submit questions before hand. I had all my questions ready to go and didn’t get a chance to even try. Most of the questions were then answered by his wife, who seemed very kind and knowledgeable, but seemed to take over every time he missed a detail. For the money we spent to see this show, I wanted more. We probably won’t attend this type of show again.
Good Christmas experience. Watching Vacation in a theater was fun. Chevy was interesting and he and his wife did a good job of telling stories.
I was a little hesitant and worried going in to this event after reading a lot of the negative reviews, and I came out of the show very pleased and relieved that this was not the case for this show. Chevy and Janey had a very interesting and great conversation and Chevy was still making the audience laugh a ton with jokes and stories of his career. Alot of the reviews on this page talk about the sound not being good, well again that was not the case for this show either, I sat towards the back of the theater and could hear everything clear as day, but the sound obviously comes down to the venue and not Chevy, and the venue I happened to see him in has always had the best sound every time I have gone. All in all it was an awesome experience to see Chevy in person after years of watching his films, and I would recommend this show to anybody who enjoys his films and would like to see him in person and hear some interesting and funny stories that you dont find online.
Enjoyed seeing Chevy Chase and hearing about his career in comedy and the movies after the movie was shown. The Christmas Vacation movie presentation at the Coronado in Rockford was not that great. The movie got out of sync about 2/3 through the movie and the words did not match the actors talking on the screen. Pretty frustrating.
Loved the movie, Chevy Chase and his wife Janey! The movie and sound didn't match up, that part was disappointing. Great to see Chevy!
Had hoped to learn way more about Chevy and the movie sound system was awful! He was a master at his craft and should have a more professional presentation for all of us. My son and I wanted our money back.
Chevy and his wife Janie were amazing, so glad I made it to this once in a lifetime show. They get 5 stars. The Coranado is a beautiful theater. The sound people did a terrible job which was a bummer and I would give them one star. The sound was off for the screening which was most of the show and I don't know I would want to see a show there again.
The film was not synched and off by several seconds. When one pays close to $70 for a ticket to see a movie, the quality should be substantially better. The interview with Chevy was funny and informative.
In general, it was an enjoyable show. Chevy is not in very good shape - I praise him for going out there but also feel bad for him at the same time. We love Chevy but he needs to take time for his health.
I've always been a big fan of Chevy Chase. Love all of his movies. Also a big fan of the TV show Community. Chevy was charming, witty and endearing. I got the photo op and although I was disappointed I couldn't stand next to him, it's totally understandable because of Covud protocols and his age. It was a great night and I would love to do it again someday.
