Chevy is great and his wife is too! It was so fun to see the Christmas Vacation movie again. The Q&A was so fun. A unique treat!

    Chevy Chase Christmas Vacation

by Dawnrennae on 12/20/23F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

We love Chevy Chase and were excited for this opportunity to see him. We paid $200 for our tickets. Unfortunately due to health issues Chevy is having memory issues. It was uncomfortable and upsetting to watch him struggle to answer questions and loose his train of thought. His wife, by his side, would remind him, answer for him, and guide him through conversations. We left after watching him for 20 minutes. I could not bare to watch him struggle a minute longer. It was an expensive screening of Christmas Vacation.

    Great show!

by Roe on 12/20/23F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

Great experience watching the screening with all the other fans. Chevy still has it! He's funny and his interaction between him and his wife was sweet.

    FUN

by TheMom on 12/20/23F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

This was an anniversary present for my husband. It was great fun watching the movie on the big screen and then amazing listening to Chevy tell his stories and being silly. THANK YOU!

    What a fun time

    by Joe H. on 12/20/23F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

If it wasn’t fun enough just to see Christmas Vacation on the big screen, Chevy Chase was everything I hoped for and more. We drove two hours to the show in a storm and it was more than worth it. Chevy and his wife answered lots of audience questions in a fun and informative manner. I hope Chevy Chase will do this again next year!

    Still has the knack

by GTTW on 12/20/23F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

Watching the movie on the big screen with an audience was awesome. Chevy still has the knack at 80 to make you laugh . He gave some good tidbits about the movie and he can be brash but expected . Enjoyed it immensely

    A Night W Chevy

by MKIV on 12/20/23F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

Had dinner with friends at a restaurant close to the Kirby Center before the show. Watched a Christmas Classic staring Chevy Chase and then got to converse with him after the movie. Excellent night.

    Nice night out

by Dee on 12/20/23F.M. Kirby Center - Wilkes-Barre

It was nice to see the movie with other fans. I wish the Q&A was longer, I was bummed my question wasn't asked. The only issue I had was the venue - It didn't start on time and then we left to use the restroom and get a drink and there was NO announcement that the movie was starting so we missed the first 15 min because their service was so slow.

    Meh

by Roch MN on 12/19/23Mayo Civic Center Auditorium - Rochester

Start with the best part - the show itself was fun to see on a big screen. The after show question and answer part was fun. He was up there for about an hour. Chevy's wife kept it interesting. He seemed to have some memory issues so she kept it rolling. The OK part - pre-show snacks and the overall set up was decent. Parking nearby was very convenient. The bad part - the volume was insanely stupid loud (seriously way louder than a movie theater). Chairs were VERY close so the larger guy next to me took up a 1/3 of my seat. We were both uncomfortable the entire time. After the show there was a lot of dead time waiting for the meet and greet. There was no direction/guidance about where it was or where we needed to go (later discovered an email was sent out that morning so I never saw it). Again, they were blasting the Christmas music way too loud. We ended up skipping out on it since it was going to take forever. A friend that stayed said it was just a quick shuffle in, quick picture and shuffle out. Worth going? Yes. Paying the extra for the meet and greet picture? Meh.

Great experience that could've been better.

by Fish on 12/19/23Mayo Civic Center Auditorium - Rochester

I purchased tickets with the understanding that I'd be able to ask a question. This wasn't the case since I didn't know about the link to ask a question - I was extremely disappointed. This should've been advertised or explained much, much, much better...I found out after that it was on the screen prior to the show in the bottom right corner (not too obvious or visually simple to spot). Also, the picture could've been better directed. Some suggestions to pose better would've been nice in hindsight...I'm tall and Mr. Chase was sitting down, so it looks awkward. I wish there would've been some help with that since I didn't know how it would look through the lens until I received the picture the next day (i.e. too late). The event was great otherwise, however. Loved the experience.

Chevy and his wife were very entertaining

by Jeff on 12/16/23Mayo Civic Center Auditorium - Rochester

Chevy Chase and his wife were very entertaining as we watched Christmas Vacation and they spoke afterwards. They shared stories about the movie and making it. They also shared how the other actors are doing and how it was working with them. I recommend seeing them if you can.

    Movie

by Niece on 12/16/23Mayo Civic Center Auditorium - Rochester

Q & A session was great ~was not informed you had to text or email your questions in before ~no one seemed to know at the event center where the ugly sweater extravaganza was at . The Q & A could have been much longer session and only have clips of the movie ~ didn’t really expect to watch the whole movie again

    CLARK LIVES ON

by Heids on 12/16/23Mayo Civic Center Auditorium - Rochester

What an amazing night we laughed out loud the entire time, an entire auditorium of people laughing and cheering and asking, and listening to questions from Chevy. When else would you ever get this opportunity

    What’s wrong with Chevy?

by MJ on 12/16/23Mayo Civic Center Auditorium - Rochester

Watching the movie among so many Christmas Vacation lovers was worth the price of admission. It was GREAT! Sadly, I thought Chevy exhibited some of the same issues we are seeing in our political leader. Some of his lapses may have been part of the schtick, but I was disappointed and felt sorry that he was being traipsed across the country by handlers. Shame on them.

    Acoustics were terrible

by Clark W on 12/16/23Mayo Civic Center Auditorium - Rochester

The acoustics were awful, so loud and echoing, seemed to get a little better after a while or we got used to it. Chevy seemed a little lost at times but his wife was great and she would get him reigned in. There wasn’t anywhere that I saw to send the questions beforehand and that was upsetting when asked if people had the opportunity to do so, the audience replied no, but I guess it was maybe only if you bought a VIP ticket.

Full of happy memories and nostalgia

by Miz Mpls on 12/16/23Mayo Civic Center Auditorium - Rochester

I had read some bad reviews and was a little worried but we had a great time! I wasn’t sure how the interview/Q&A would go afterwards… was it going to be lame? It wasn’t! It was awesome to hear Chevy and his wife talk about their experiences and see a more intimate side of Chevy, his wife and his movies. We laughed and really enjoyed ourselves. I do recommend going! I’ll never forget my experience of meeting someone so iconic. He was down to earth, humble, hilarious and his wife was truly sweet.
