Cher in Concert

Often referred to as the "Goddess of Pop' Cher is more than just a singer. She is also a Grammy Award, Academy Award and Golden Globe-winning actress and artist. The talented singer began her musical career at the tender age of sixteen and went on to form the duo "Sonny and Cher" with Sonny Bono. In 1965, Cher released her debut solo album "All I Really Want to Do" and in 1966 she had her first live performance with Sonny Bono at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. In total, Cher has released an impressive twenty-five studio albums, three live albums and nine compilation albums since her start in the 60s. The talented singer-actress has completed six worldwide tours throughout North America, Europe, Australia and Asia. Her first solo concert tour, T ake Me Home Tour, debuted in 1979, and her last concert tour, Living Proof: The Farewell Tour, lasted from June 2002 until April 2005. In 2017, Cher headed to Vegas with the show Classic Cher, set within the expansive Park Theater's 5,200-seat Monte Carlo venue. Fans of Cher live and in concert note that her performances are filled with equal parts high-energy "Believe" moments and emotionally-charged romantic ballads along with multiple set and costume changes for an all-around impressive experience. Aside from her musical career, Cher has built an impressive career for herself as an actress, starring in the award-winning films Moonstruck and Silkwood. In 1988, she won the "Best Actress in a Leading Role" Academy Award for the film "Moonstruck" as well as the Golden Globe award.

Cher Background

Born in El Centro, California, to an actress mother, Cher began her career at the age of 16 when she decided to move to Los Angeles with her best friend. She enrolled herself in acting classes and worked as a dancer to earn a living while getting her start. Cher's life changed in 1962 when she met fellow singer Sonny Bono, not only because he would go on to be her performing partner and future husband, but because he introduced her to producer Phil Spector. Spector gave Cher her first job as a backup singer and also produced her debut single "Ringo, I Love You."Stay updated on Cher's personal life as well as tour dates and individual tickets by following her on Instagram or subscribing to her newsletter.

Cher on Tour

Following the completion of 82 shows by the end of this year, the Oscar, Grammy, Emmy, Golden Globe, Billboard Icon Award recipient and Kennedy Center Honoree shows no signs of slowing down. The Here We Go Again Tour began September 2018 in conjunction with the release of her Warner Bros. "Dancing Queen" album which landed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Charts. Cher recently performed in Europe for the first time in 15 years and received many standing ovations nightly, several five star reviews along with the unanimous raves for her previous U.S. Tour dates.

Due to overwhelming demand, Cher extended her phenomenally successful Here We Go Again Tour, announcing additional dates in 2020. Nile Rodgers & CHIC continue as the special guest for the North American outing.

    Cher in Vegas

by Anonymous on 5/9/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

It was very disappointing, she started 20 minutes late and ended 15 minutes early. I would not recommend seeing this show, wait for Celine Dion to come back in March 2011.

    Disappointing

by mocbend on 5/9/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

There was too much fill in and not enough Cher. The usher at the venue was rude and treated people with NO respect the way he talked to people. Cher should give me my money back for sitting through that show!!!

    Cher show was mediocre

by QC1234 on 5/6/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

We saw Cher a while back before they changed the show this year and if you are going to change something you should change it for the better...this was not the case. Cher was not on stage very much, most of the time backstage changing costumes. A lot of the time the costume seemed to be the same, just a different color. It wasn't necessary. You go to see and hear Cher sing, you don't get much of that. It clearly is not worth the money. We were greatly disappointed. You want to hear Cher sing her songs, not see her leave the stage yet again... The music was too loud and sometimes she seemed to be struggling to rise above the music. The encore song was more screaming than singing. Not enjoyable. The cost of the souvenir program was overpriced, although it is filled with pictures the $40 seemed a bit extreme. From start to finish the value for the money that you spend was not there. We are Cher fans and we expected much more from her, going back to the original show she was doing at Caesars would make for much happier fans. It was much better the first time around. The price of drinks at the bar were unbelievable - although this has nothing to do with the Cher show, Caesars is clearly taking advantage of the customers that come in to the the shows at the Coliseum. A bottle of beer is $11 and a mixed drink was $10. At that rate does anyone realize just how much Caesars is making off of one case of beer??? Cher did not have to refer to her fans as nameless, faceless, little people. That was uncalled for. Without us (her fans) she would not be who she is. It was rude.

    Loved the show!

by celesteadia on 5/5/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

Cher looked fantastic, she talked about how old she is, hard to believe. Her voice was strong and clear and we loved the "walk down memory lane" with al the video, photos, etc. I saw Sony and Cher in concert in 1966, I enjoyed this concert just as much. The additional acrobatic performers were a treat. Costumes were beautiful, perfect for Cher.

    Hot at Whatever AGE

by DKMOM on 5/5/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

2 hours of pure thrill. Cher's voice is better today than 20 years ago. She is confident, comfortable, and you are in for a wonderful New York City style show. Her Dancers and casts are hot athletes that never miss beat. A must see show in Vegas.

    Effort....less.

by Sturgeon1961 on 5/5/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

Cher just sleptwalked through her performance. (She did say at the beginning that she was not feeling well.) I paid $200 for a nosebleed seat, all I could see was her glimmering ensembles. The screens rarely showed close-ups of her...which I though was odd. But she was in good voice, and I assumed the spotlighted guitarist was her son was Elijah Blue, however it wasn't mentioned. There were also a lot of old performance clips of her acting and performing with Sonny which acted as filler while she made her many costume changes.

Cher ages like a fine wine

by Ron109 on 5/5/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

It was a great show from the moment she flew in over the audience. It was the perfect blend of nostalgia, Cirque de Soleil type of acrobatics, and So You Think You Can Dance type of routines. Cher wore a different costume for each song she sang. In between the songs, the audience was treated to great dance and acrobat routines. There were great video clips from the Sonny and Cher Show. I saw her final tour and found this to be more intimate and varied enough to make me feel like it worth was the price of admission. She covered some songs that I had not heard her sing before, too. I really enjoyed the show.

    Not Enough Cher

by Ellwood on 5/4/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

Cher's voice is as strong as ever, I think she's still beautiful and she still has her sense of humor. The costumes were the star of the show, and that's my only problem. There was a lot of video flashback of her & Sonny, the TV show and dance numbers to cover the time it took for her to change. For the money, I could have used more of her just doing a good job of singing her songs. The audience was pretty much my demographic (55-65), and a majority were women. They loved it.

by cherfan51 on 5/3/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

Cher was unbelieveable...I saw her when I was 16 and she still looks awesome 42 years later!!!! The show was a real Vegas experience. I only wish she had sung MORE and changed clothes LESS. Regardless, I would recomend the experience to EVERYONE...

Too many costume changes not enough singing

by kb04090 on 5/3/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

This was definitely not worth the $100 a person we paid for 2nd mezzanine. We figured there would be a screen to see closeups of Cher. NOT. There was some cheezy fabric on the walls which didn't project well. Add to this two gin and tonics for $14 each. We felt majorly ripped off. Cher's monolog was about envisioning herself having an accident in the show and falling to her death and killing some of the audience members. She said it always made her smile to think of the CNN scroll of "Cher falls to death and nameless people killed". It was very odd.

    cher good, but

by loisburz on 5/3/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

i saw cher at caesars, las vegas. i love her music, i love her performance. but... if she would just stop changing outfits and sing, i would have liked the show better. too much time waiting for her to change. the dancers were ok but not what i paid to see. the sonny & cher videos were wonderful. brings back old memories. the end of the show was worth the $. she stayed on the stage and sang. great background, great production.

    Cher was Cher

by KISFLA on 5/3/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

I was so happy to finally see Cher in Las Vegas. I didn't like the start of the show with the Laverne segment from her TV show. I would rather have seen the vamp if she was going for something from the TV show. It would have shown her true singing talent and her distinct sound. I realize that the tv show and movie clips gave her time to change so they were needed. I just wanted to hear her sing all her tunes and maybe cutback on the video clips . In all it was good.
