Cher in Concert

Often referred to as the "Goddess of Pop' Cher is more than just a singer. She is also a Grammy Award, Academy Award and Golden Globe-winning actress and artist. The talented singer began her musical career at the tender age of sixteen and went on to form the duo "Sonny and Cher" with Sonny Bono. In 1965, Cher released her debut solo album "All I Really Want to Do" and in 1966 she had her first live performance with Sonny Bono at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. In total, Cher has released an impressive twenty-five studio albums, three live albums and nine compilation albums since her start in the 60s. The talented singer-actress has completed six worldwide tours throughout North America, Europe, Australia and Asia. Her first solo concert tour, T ake Me Home Tour, debuted in 1979, and her last concert tour, Living Proof: The Farewell Tour, lasted from June 2002 until April 2005. In 2017, Cher headed to Vegas with the show Classic Cher, set within the expansive Park Theater's 5,200-seat Monte Carlo venue. Fans of Cher live and in concert note that her performances are filled with equal parts high-energy "Believe" moments and emotionally-charged romantic ballads along with multiple set and costume changes for an all-around impressive experience. Aside from her musical career, Cher has built an impressive career for herself as an actress, starring in the award-winning films Moonstruck and Silkwood. In 1988, she won the "Best Actress in a Leading Role" Academy Award for the film "Moonstruck" as well as the Golden Globe award.

Cher Background

Born in El Centro, California, to an actress mother, Cher began her career at the age of 16 when she decided to move to Los Angeles with her best friend. She enrolled herself in acting classes and worked as a dancer to earn a living while getting her start. Cher's life changed in 1962 when she met fellow singer Sonny Bono, not only because he would go on to be her performing partner and future husband, but because he introduced her to producer Phil Spector. Spector gave Cher her first job as a backup singer and also produced her debut single "Ringo, I Love You."Stay updated on Cher's personal life as well as tour dates and individual tickets by following her on Instagram or subscribing to her newsletter.

Cher on Tour

Following the completion of 82 shows by the end of this year, the Oscar, Grammy, Emmy, Golden Globe, Billboard Icon Award recipient and Kennedy Center Honoree shows no signs of slowing down. The Here We Go Again Tour began September 2018 in conjunction with the release of her Warner Bros. "Dancing Queen" album which landed at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Charts. Cher recently performed in Europe for the first time in 15 years and received many standing ovations nightly, several five star reviews along with the unanimous raves for her previous U.S. Tour dates.

Due to overwhelming demand, Cher extended her phenomenally successful Here We Go Again Tour, announcing additional dates in 2020. Nile Rodgers & CHIC continue as the special guest for the North American outing.

Cher at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace was AWESOME! It has been my dream to see Cher for years, and she was everything I expected and more. She sounded great and looked even better! I would recommend this show to anyone making a trip to vegas! Definitely one of the best nights of my life...I LOVE Cher!

    Amazing and Beautiful

by Jazzy6 on 5/11/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

Cher sounded incredible. If anyone says she lip syncs they are way wrong! Costumes were fabulous and the stage was set like a scene in a broadway play for every song. Enjoyed the variety of songs she selected which she performed impeccably. The Nazareth song "Love Hurts" following the tribute to her love with Sonny had my sister and I crying throughout thoroughly moved. If I have any negative, show started a bit late and she was off stage quite a bit while changing but the dancers and videos filled the space nicely. I would have enjoyed more songs and less outfit changes but let's face it the wardrobe is a much a part of her legacy as the music. If you can afford it I would highly recommend tickets lower than the 2nd mezanine.

    Started Late

by wherehasallthesparkgone on 5/11/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

I love Cher have been a fan for years. I was so excited to finally see her in person. Convinced three friends to pay more than we usually would and attended the night before Mothers Day our treat to ourselves. We could touch the stage. She was 20 minutes late. Spoke at the beginning and never spoke again. She performed beautifully and costumes were great. There were many videos of the past. I persume she was changing. I enjoyed the hour but was disappointed that it was not longer and that we did not see more of her personality. Went to see Lion King next day for a third of the price. Started at four and was over at seven. Much better show. I still love Cher but was very disappointed in what I got for the money.

    Well Below Expectations!!!

by MobilOne on 5/10/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

I grew up watching the Sonny & Cher show with my mom, then Cher's solo show after they divorced, and we always enjoyed both. I saw Cher last night in Vegas, and while i don't like to compare anyone to anyone else, I can say that when I saw Celine Dion there a couple of years ago it was much better. I expected so much fron Cher who has been in the business over 40 years, vs. Celine Dion who has been around in the US for about 20 years. Cher is known for her outfits, but changing into a new one before each song ate into a lot of the performance time which was only about 1 1/4 hours. She also spent a lot of time singing other artists songs instead of her own, and except for I STILL HAVEN'T FOUND WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR by U2, weren't that good.

    Cher was totally amazing.

by Suzieque3 on 5/10/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

Cher is as wonderful as she has always been, a truely amazing, great, fun, funny, beautiful show - I am at a loss for words. She is one woman who has kept the beauty, sexuality in her shows. I lost count of the costume changes, she gave us both the past and present of her outstanding life. Cher - You are a truly amazing woman, someone for all to look up to and a model of grace, beauty and humor for us to follow in your footsteps, if only we could. Thank you !!! for an entertaining show. LOve you..

I am a 31 y/o who took mom to Cher for Mother's Day. I'm not a big Cher fan, just going to show my mom a good time. I was pleasantly entertained. That old lady was incredible! And the staff at the Colosseum was very helpful and friendly. Great night out!

    Cher Rocks!

by Orleansgirl on 5/10/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

This show was an unforgettable experience. We had the thrill of seeing Elvis Presley live in concert at the International Hotel and also several times when it became the Las Vegas Hilton. This ranked second only to that experience on the "AWESOME" scale! Cher's energy and enthusiasm were contagious and the whole audience caught the bug. She is a fabulous performer. The venue was excellent and provided great accoustics and views for all guests. We are so glad we had the opportunity to see this show.

Cher is impecable! But the setlist could be better

by FabioCosta on 5/10/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

The show is amazing. Cher is better than ever. I was just a little disappointed by the fact that she didn't include more songs from her latest albums. "Believe" is not enough. Truly recommend the ticket that includes dinner at Nero. One of my best meals ever!

She still sings well and looks great....but.....

by lvchoralman on 5/10/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

...the show started almost 20 minutes late, with no explanation from the house. (At about 7:30 a reminder was given to turn off cell phones and no photos, so it seemed like the show was ready to begin. No such luck. :( Cher still looks AWESOME, and she sings well, BUT....I'm guessing she actually sings live no more than 50% of the time in this 90-minute production. The show is as much a retrospective of her career as it is anything. Thrown in, but very tastefully and professional done, are 16 outstanding dancers who liven up the performance with some Cirque-type acrobatics and dancing. The band and back-up singers are great...everyone of them, but especially the drummer. I guess my disappointment came from Cher singing so little, when compared with other famous singers (old and new) on the Strip. The basically sold out audience seemed to love the show. If you're a Cher fan, then you will want to go. If you are like me, and just enjoyed her singing and her acting in the past, I'd save my money for another show.

I can't believe how fabulous Cher sounded and looked..the stage wasn't too large cause her voice filled the theatre with a rich, vibrant sound like a bell..she is beyond charismatic and talented and the videos of Sonny and she were amazing..costumes, sound, repetoire and Cher were amazing..

by beachherbie on 5/10/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

The Cher concert was wonderful. She still has an incredible voice, not to mention the body! She not only did the songs she is known for but also did some covers that were unbelievable. The lighting and entertainment of the dancers was top notch.

Disappointing performace by Cher...or hardly any?

by Anona43 on 5/9/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

We got a show...that in her own words "could go on without her". She sang about four complete songs. It was very disappointing to see a show composed of dancers and movie trails instead of songs sang by CHER.

    not what I expected

by janan on 5/9/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

I understand that this is a 'Vegas Show' and not a concert, however, I think Cher has plenty of song hits, that she doesn't need to sing songs from others that she never recorded. The were too many T.V. clips and not enough of Cher! I didn't pay good money to watch old T.V. clips on a screen. I wanted to hear Cher sing. When she did sing, her voice was better than ever. It goes without saying that the costumes were fabulous. The choreagraphed dancing was top notch. But please....more Cher and less fluff. I feel that she did not connect with the audience until the very end of the show and even then, did not say 'thank you' or 'good night'. I was left wanting more....

    Cher was better than ever!

by scootr2674 on 5/9/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

Myriads of costume and wig changes and the body of a much younger woman, along with a tremendously strong voice, made for a delicious treat of a concert in Las Vegas at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. She entertained with her own hits as well as covers of other artists. It was an hour an a half of pure joy for this die-hard Cher fan. My only criticism is that there were not constant screen shots of her onstage for those of us that were not seated up close. The costumes on display in the lobby were also a lot of fun and brought back many happy memories from former concerts and shows. Cher definitely delivered my money's worth! Love you, Cher!!!

CHER is still fabulous... when she's on stage!

by Frenchboy on 5/9/10The Colosseum At Caesars Palace - Las Vegas

The CHER show in Vegas was a major disappointment. In 90 minutes, CHER was actually on stage for about 40 minutes or so. She did change costumes between every songs but that meant having to seat through videos, dance numbers, poor "ala" cirque du soleil act (but really not that great), etc... So for the moments that CHER was actually on CHER, it was great to see her and her voice is still as incredible as in the past, but unfortunately, for the price tag, we all would ahve loved more of CHER. Also there are about ten dancers or so on stage at the COLISEUM which in comparison to the show that CELINE DION had put in the same venue really feels like a "budget show"... Like i said, a disappointment...
