  • Excellent Show to bring your kids

by Anonymous on 6/20/18Hershey Theatre - HersheyRating: 5 out of 5

I took my 8 year old son (soon to be 9) to see this for Father's Day. At first he didn't want to go - he just wanted to stay home and play video games, but I talked him into going. He literally said to me; "Dad, if this show turns out to be boring, can we just leave early?" I said OK son, but at least give it a try. Once the show started, he was glued. He loves magic anyway, but the humor with which the acts presented their illusions, made it a winning combination. My son and I both loved the show, and the acts had us laughing the whole time. The ticket weren't cheap, but by the end of the show, it was worth it to see how much my boy enjoyed it. To be honest - I probably wouldn't spend this much to see this show myself as an adult - but as something to which to bring children - it's hands-down an excellent show.

although most of the magic has been seen before, the show was still enjoyable and fun for all ages

  • FUN FOR ALL MAGIC

    by sork68 on 6/20/18Hershey Theatre - HersheyRating: 4 out of 5

The show was fun and enjoyable- some issues with sound system, and audience participation, intermission was too long but whole crew came out at the end for pictures and autographs. A program would have been nice. Overall - an enjoyable happy afternoon

  • Champions of Magic Is For Kids

    by tmm336 on 6/20/18Hershey Theatre - HersheyRating: 2 out of 5

My husband and I left at the intermission. The tricks where all the standards - nothing original. We just didn't think it would get any better in the 2nd half. Kids would love it though so it is good for families with kids.

  • Champions of Magic was unbelievable

by NessieD on 4/16/18Assembly Rooms - EdinburghRating: 5 out of 5

I can't recommend Champions of Magic enough. All five magicians were incredible, it was an emotional rollercoaster exciting / intense / funny and the end was just brilliant.

  • Champions of magic almost

by LittleMagnolia on 2/27/18Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - BaltimoreRating: 4 out of 5

I have seen better performances of magic on my big screen TV, which has lead me to talk about with friends more so than the champions of magic show. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy the show, however, I don't think it was worth the $200 we paid for 2 tickets. Parking and amenities were great . This was the first show my husband and l have attended at the Hippodrome and would definitely give the venue another shot.

  • Disappointing show

by computerprokeith on 2/21/18Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - BaltimoreRating: 2 out of 5

champions of magic was very much like the show on now you see me movie 4 acts come out as the champions of magic. The best act was Kayla, but she did the EXACT same routine she did of Penn & Teller Fool Us (YouTube kayla fool us for routine). The grand finale was the magicians all disappearing on stage at the same time, which was a 100% repeat of a 1990 David Copperfield trick. The woman getting sawed in half was impressive. However the guy in the straightjacket that is hung upside down between steel jaws that were to release when the rope burned was lame. He actually escape 3 seconds after the jaws closed but was able to wrap his leg around the pole as the jaws closed. He didn't get out of the stunt until after the jaws closed and 2 more seconds. BADLY timed. They all came out with their radio DJ voices, lame!

  • Unprofessional

by carlymichelle22 on 2/21/18Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - BaltimoreRating: 2 out of 5

I took a group of family and friends to this show. It was a bit unprofessional, as in, it did not seem well planned. The acts were really not that great. I was expecting a lot more. I don't think it was worth the price we paid for the tickets.

  • Champions of Magic a gotta see

  • Almost there ...

by REWendy on 2/21/18Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - BaltimoreRating: 3 out of 5

Maybe I was spoiled by the Naked Magicians, but this show just didn't seem to deliver. The tricks seemed, ... well, .... small. Granted, the audience was a bit of a dud the night we were there, but still. A British or Australian accent goes a long way with me (as with most American women) but it just wasn't enough. Without a doubt, the mind-reader guy was the most polished and entertaining. Kayla should have been engaging, but it just didn't click. Sorry. I think the potential is there, but something's missing.

  • Doesn't meet expectations

by djm111 on 2/21/18Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - BaltimoreRating: 1 out of 5

If you are going to call yourself Champions of Magic you should be putting on a Championship show .Alex was great and very entertaining and the closing act Young and Strange were ok . The other 2 seemed more like time fillers . We have seen a few acts in Vegas and were looking for that kind of show from these 5 Masters of Illusion. Maybe we were expecting too much .

The magicians were very entertaining. The show was lively and the right length of time. I have recommended the show to others. Hopefully they will be back next year or over the summer.

The Champions of Magic performance in Baltimore was so entertaining and the magic was impressive! Everyone in our family, including our teenagers, enjoyed the evening. The illusions and mind reading performances left us in awe and wanting more. The humor, improvisation and interaction with the audience made for a more personal connection and made it more enjoyable. Definitely recommend for a family or date night! The Hippodrome, as always, is a spectacular venue!

  • Good Kids Family Magic Show

by CanaanFamily on 2/20/18Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - BaltimoreRating: 5 out of 5

It was cute, I wouldn’t see it again. Too much talking, not enough magic. Kayla was annoying.
