  • Champions of Magic was fantastic

by Janett247 on 9/12/18Count Basie Center for the Arts - Red BankRating: 4 out of 5

Not a super fan of magic but this show was incredible. The acts were amazing. 2 1/2 hrs flew by.

  • Very mediocre, low budget, and forgettable show

by Etownone on 9/12/18Count Basie Center for the Arts - Red BankRating: 2 out of 5

My title says it all.. It was the same corny tricks we've seen since forever... Very cheesy show. The only reason I wouldn't give it one star is because I'm sure kids would like it.

  • FUNDAY

by Irish073 on 9/11/18Count Basie Center for the Arts - Red BankRating: 4 out of 5

Show was really good. Had front row seats so added to fun. I didn’t appreciate paying 30 for parking being handicap and seniors couldn’t walk

  • AMAZING!!! I can't believe it!!

Show was really good. I would go see another show when/if they come back to the areas

  • Ok for kids

We found the show slow and boring. Ok for children

  • Nicely done but slow moving in parts

by tplayer49 on 9/10/18Count Basie Center for the Arts - Red BankRating: 3 out of 5

Yes.... the tricks were good ones we have all seen before..... but some were very slow moving. After a very long intermission.... the slow moving continued. They would def. be buzzed on AGT.

  • Shockingly Disappointing

by DGGG22 on 9/10/18Count Basie Center for the Arts - Red BankRating: 1 out of 5

So sorry to report, but at 57 years old, I have never walked out of a performance OR a movie theater. I have never given a bad review for a performance, I rarely review. This was my first, and at $62 and 4 tix, an expensive mistake.

  • Needs improvement.

Very slow in parts. Seems like I have seen all the tricks before. My husband actually dozed off at one point and he loves magic. Seemed tailored to kids. We don't have kids. Snow at end was cheesy. And I've seen David Copperfield do that before. We both enjoyed The Illusionists more than this.

  • It was magic!

by Pimms on 7/6/18Hobby Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

These magicians put on a first class magic show, not the usual night club magic show stuff. The way that they staged their appearance was differently refreshing.

  • Magic not that magical

by Inposterum on 7/6/18Hobby Center - HoustonRating: 3 out of 5

Over priced. Medium illusion mixed with you can do this at home magic.mind reader entertaining. Escapes not bad. Lady very weak. Hard to recommend.

  • Amusing for people under the age of 10.

by Brookenstein on 7/5/18Hobby Center - HoustonRating: 1 out of 5

Can’t believe I wasted money on this show, we left at intermission. The tricks done by young and strange were the exact same ones done on TV (today show and Fool us, the cheesy box trick). You could see half of the slip in’s from our seats. You’d have to be a child to be amused and wowed by this performance. Only performer worth watching was Alex, and that’s because he was easy on the eyes. $350 wasted!

  • Extraordinary Show

    by G442race on 7/5/18Hobby Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

Great Performance! All of the magicians were fantastic and would definitely recommend.

  • Excellent entertainment

    by Jasper0515 on 7/4/18Hobby Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

The show features a variety of magic acts. It was well paced and very entertaining. Many audience members were involved. There was a nice blend of comedic dialogue and dramatic illusions and escapes. Would recommend as a great family show

  • Awesome and Amazing!!!

by Goldiehou on 7/4/18Hobby Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

Magical, funny, entertaining and super cool show! Loved each and every magician!

Overall good show. The kids enjoyed it (what really matters), especially the audience participation. The show could have only been improved by being in a smaller more intimate venue.

  • Champions of Magic - Fabulous Family Fun!

by Laxplays on 7/4/18Hobby Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

We loved the show - we were a little skeptical going in, but were pleasantly surprised at how entertaining the magicians were. There was enough variety for all ages and I would highly recommend it. If you are thinking of going, I suggest that you purchase Orchestra seats - you will feel more involved, since audience participation takes up a large part of the show. We had great mezzanine seats, but felt too far away!

  • Young and Strange remind me of Penn and Teller

    by BinkieBlue2 on 7/4/18Hobby Center - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

I didn’t know what to expect of the show, therefore I was very pleased with every aspect of the show. The illusions were amazing. Well worth the expense and time. Will definitely attend another show if and when they return to Houston. My granddaughter was thrilled.

  • Fun

We enjoyed the show. The second act was really strong.

  • Not ready for Vegas

by Huhwhatwhy on 7/4/18Hobby Center - HoustonRating: 2 out of 5

With such a young cast of magicians I expected to see tricks/illusions like I have never seen before. Unfortunately this was not the case. It was the standard cut the woman in half, knives through the box, pick a card, straight jacket routine you have seen for decades. Sure, they were executed competently, but really?
