Adequate tricks for kids but don't expect Penn and Teller caliber magic though ticket prices for floor seats were averaging $100. Most of these gags have been revealed over the past years and the other prestidigitation is painfully obvious with the black background curtain. But the one most disingenious item was the absence of the most established performer, Fay Presto, after a slew of pre appearance advertising listing her as the Queen's favorite magician. Then also no announcement prior to their appearance at Cleveland PlayhouseSquare that Presto would not appear. Word is that she is no longer associated with the act.
Absolutely incredible..5 top class magicians come together to give a fast moving and spectacular performance. Great humor and fun for ALL ages.
Saw the show with kids and we all really enjoyed it. Very funny for all ages.
This show is the caliber of a Broadway show with the funny and wow of the greatest magic show ever. Truly great for all ages and has helped to bridge the gap between young and old. Look out for the grand illusion. Really Really Cool
Saw this show twice - in Florida and then in Cali - really fun show and took the family the second time because we enjoyed the first time so much. Well worth seeing. Go!
Saw the show in Winnipeg while visiting family and thought it was just wonderful. Magic for all ages - we had children aged 6 and seniors over 70 in our group who all loved it. Lots of big tricks and smaller close-up magic shown on the screen. Really exciting, fantastic show. Also very funny.
Saw the show in Thousand Oaks and then went again in Cerritos so we could take friends along. The show is really spectacular and great fun for the whole family. I don't want to give anything away, but the finale is mindblowing.
Using the word "Champions" is stretching it. Two of the acts, the mind reader and Sam and Strange, were good. The whole show should have just been them. The other acts seemed very amateurish. At $60 a ticket (including all the fees!) the price is too high.
Really enjoyed this show and was highly entertained. It was funny. It was mystifying and very intriguing. I would see it again.
I was really excited as I love magic and illusionist, this was truly amateur at best.Production was at high school level, Acts were like a third stage show in a motel 6. Don't waste your money
Shows was barely OK, you can get the same stuff by street performers downtown L.A. Card tricks and mind reading is not worth $50 ticket price.
I brought my 7 year old grandson to see this show. He loved it! Watching him watch those magicians was pure delight!! We had a perfectly lovely evening.
Champions of Magic was a mix of magicians and a mind reader and was delivered with the typical British sense of humor; teasing, clever, witty... The magic tricks were well done and some I had never seen before. The mind reader was really impressive and the entire team ensured we laughed all along the way. The show is geared for children and adults. A very enjoyable evening.
Some parts were very well performed. They were friendly to the audience. Some parts seemed somewhat amateurish.
The show had its good points and bad. The best part was the bigger illusions. The downside was that the female magician was hard to understand and adolescent in her skills. Past her time. The show was good for the price of the ticket.
Many of the tricks (ie card tricks) are geared to a much smaller venue. I was hoping for more spectacles in the magic show. But the duo musicians (I forgot their name) we're quite good.
I have nothing bad to say about this at all, we got to the theater which was beautiful, the show was excellent and amazing we enjoyed it as adults and our nine year old grandson just thought it was the greatest thing ever, I would highly recommend it to anyone the ticket prices were low considering most places now want you to spend between 50 to $100 for a ticket so I thought it was very economical I have no complaints at all! The Magicians were awesome! Parking was easy also!
This was the perfect early Christmas present for my grandson. He hasn’t stop talking about it!
Honestly average magic with average tricks and very obvious sleight that you could actually follow. Amateur hour. Want to see GREAT magic and be tremendously entertained? Go see Michael Carbonaro if you can instead. we had no idea who he was and were blown away by his great magic and clean humor that was a laugh a minute. We saw both Michael and COM at the same small venue and it was no comparison.
