The show was enjoyable! I enjoyed the different performers and their talents
All of the Magicians were entertaining and fun. Great experience mixing comedy and illusion.
At first, the show wasn't looking too promising, especially for the ticket prices, but the performers got along well and kept it fun. I don't think the slight-of-hand tricks are the best for a large audience, but there was a good variety of acts. We would probably all say that the last about 20 minutes were the best, with the "Vegas" style acts, including light effects and fireworks.
I was really disappointed by the first part. The tricks were not really breath taking. There was no scenarios to make the five of them work all together with a story in common. But the second part was really impressive ! I loved it and that is only after this second part that I knew this was a professional magic show. Good job on working together on that second part. Plus the shows were big so if you are far from the stage (which was the case for us) you can still enjoy without the feeling of being too far to be involved.
Well my son enjoyed it so that's all that matter but I came away with the ehhh feeling and that the price did not match the performance. The main reason why is that the setup took too long to get to the trick in the majority of the performances. The mind reader guy was the best in my opinion.
If you enjoy magic....even just a little bit...you will NOT want to miss "Champions of Magic"! It has something for everyone! It's a show you can take your whole family to and everyone will leave the theatre (after meeting "The Champions", in the lobby, after the show, for a selfie, of course!) with a smile on their face. Seriously, I have seen the show twice over the course of two years and I can tell you that the 2nd time was just as thrilling as the first time, if not better!! Like mentalism? BOOM...they've got it! Like close-up magic? It's here! Love escapes? Get ready to hold your breath! Like large-scale illusions with a dose of comedy? I can't think of a better show! Lots of interaction with the audience, too! Members of the audience are never talked down to, or made fun of; instead, many become part of the show and it's fun! "Champions of Magic" is a great way to be a kid again when you saw a magician perform and your mind exploded with the question, "How did that just happen?" When this show comes to your town, grab your ticket! You will NOT be disappointed!
Poor showmanship, sound system sucked, tricks were basic and not that interesting.
This show is fabulous, each of the magicians have their own specific talents and are very good at what they do. I saw this production twice including one with an ASL interpreter. Young and Strange have a fabulous act which is quite amusing, Kayla has a wonderful act which continues throughout her appearances, and the escape the water trick was amazing. Like wow! I can't picture how he did it. Overall, I highly recommend that you go see this!
This was absolutely the most BORING magic show I have ever attended. Seventy five percent of the show was geared toward card tricks, coin tricks and boring stories. I thought it was just me being an adult, I was disappointed for my grandchildren. kids and most adults expect to see things disappearing, flying, hovering etc. Afterwards I asked my grandkids how would they rated the show on a scale of 1 thru 10. Unfortunately the three of them rated it a 3- 3 and 5. The only thing magical about it was how my hard earned money disappeared.
This magic show combines the amazement of magic and the adorable personalities of the magicians. Fun for the entire family. Do not miss it!
Might as well have been watching on TV- everyone had that sort of slick "personality" that made me feel like everything in this show lacked a certain degree of genuine that I find most compelling about magic. Up close magic doesn't work in a big theater so I don't know why they bother with that. Great for kids! This just wasn't for my partner and I who have been to dozens on magic shows at places like the Magic Castle & Magic Lounge and have very much had our minds blown by sleight of hand on a small scale.
Excellent combination of 5 magicians. Please come to Japan too.
I took my daughters and husband. Didn’t know what to really expect, even after reading the reviews but the show far exceeded our expectations.
A fun and entertaining show. Laughter and wonder for the whole family!
First a "heartfelt thank you" to Champions of Magic for donating tickets to VET TIX! My friend received 4 tickets and I was invited. Our AMAZING seats were in the 5th row, and 8th row, just right of the stage. We saw this great performance Nov. 15th in Phoenix at the legendary Orpheum Theater. LOVED the intro music and fog, got me excited with anticipation. ALL 5 of the magicians are top notch performers....and heartbreakers! <3 Young and Strange have wonderful energy and use their personalities and great wit to pull you in...you don't want to miss a thing with them. Kayla the only female magician ( Right ON! loved you) will melt your heart with her charisma and up close mind blowing tricks and illusions. LOVED LOVED LOVED the elder gentleman she randomly pulled from the audience. Without saying a word he followed what Kayla was doing with a paper heart. It truly was heart warming to watch him following her, cutting the paper into a heart. Then the MAGIC just happened right in front of our eyes! At the very end the elderly gentleman walked off the stage back into the audience as Kayla stood there with her arms stretched out , waiting to give him a hug. The audience beckoned him back up on stage to receive a heartfelt hug from Kayla. That truly just warmed my heart seeing that!! Kayla has a very warm, funny and enduring stage presence. Alex McAleer the "mind reader"...did indeed blow my mind! OMG! I have no idea how he was able to know FACTS about random strangers and what they were thinking!! Fernando Velasco was the escape artist. I got really concerned during the water escape...thought he was going to drown! Nope, he shows up in the middle of the audience, almost like he was teleported! All 5 of them will blow your mind, while stealing your heart! I would gladly pay to see them perform again! Truly a magical experience!!
Great show for all ages!!! Mesmerizing and fun! A truly "Magical" experience. We would go to see it again.
My wife and I went with our 12-year old daughter and her friend. Everyone loved it! On the entire car ride home, the kids were talking about how they thought the magic was done. Apart from somewhat overpriced memorabilia items, I couldn't have been happier with the show. Bravo!
We went with another couple and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the show and had a great time, it was funny, suspenseful, and something we would see again
It was a great show! The magicians were outstanding with great story lines. The acts left me impressed and wondering how do they do it? Each magician was very good with there particular acts. Great show and was throughly enjoyed!!
This show is great..my wifeand I had a great nite of entertainment. Love the green light red light skit, the kids in the crowd had so much fun. We want to go again if it comes back.
