  • A fantastic opportunity!

by Comac on 11/7/24The Parish At House of Blues New Orleans - New OrleansRating: 5 out of 5

Despite the dismal setting, the Chameleons overcame its limitations with well-honed craftsmanship and showmanship. Their sound was both familiar and ground-breaking, and it transported me back to earlier shows. They covered their album “Strange Times” with finesse and ended their main set with a single from their new LP, “Where Are You!” Setting the tone and hopes for this future release. The band ended with a phenomenal encore playing many of my favorite hits from over the years, and I wouldn’t say that a tear or two leaked! I went with my wife, who had never seen this dynamic band before, and she was also transported by their gorgeous roaring guitars, Reg Smithies’ dreadnaught attack, and Mark Burgess’s haunting vocals—rounded out by Stephen Rice’s formidable guitar, Todd Demma’s wonderful drumming and Dany Ashberry keys and bass. Well done Boyos! Hope to catch you again soon!

  • AMAZING

The Chameleons put on an amazing show as always! So glad Ive been able to see them a few times over the last few years. When I initially started liking them back around 89 they had already broken up and I thought Id never get a chance to see them live. I also saw Mark's acoustic set back in 22? ... and I loved what he was able to do acoustically with songs that typically have ALOT of electronic guitar effects.

  • Great Night!

Loved seeing the Chameleons! Put on a great show. Mark's voice still sounds great and the band was tight. Enjoyed the DJ Set from the legendary Matt Pinfield! Israel's Arcade was good, but were probably miscast to be the opener for the Chameleons. I think they wanted the crowd to start a mosh pit?

  • Enthralling show

by Lauri on 6/4/24The Belasco - Los AngelesRating: 5 out of 5

Great to see Reg Smithies and Mark Burgess playing together again. The band played the entire album, “Strange Things,” then six more great songs, including one from their new album. The music was atmospheric and enthralling. Mark’s vocals and stage presence were great, and he seemed to bask in the audience’s appreciation of the show. Reg Smithies guitar work was great, as was the other guitarist. The Belasco is a gorgeous renovated theatre and the sound was great!

  • Spectacular

by Susie D., Boston on 3/21/23Rating: 5 out of 5

The Chameleons have a rich post-punk history and were very influential to major artists (check their wiki page). However, nobody has a sound like them. They do beautiful pop and brilliant post-punk. I see them as often as I can whenever they tour. They've got some songs that are just incredibly petfect classics. Long love Mark Burgess and crew
