  • Fun and entertaining

My husband and I loved the Nutcracker by Chattanooga Ballet. The dancers, regardless of age, were exceptional. And the sets looked magnificent. The choreography told the classic story in a captivating way. We also enjoyed the beautiful music of the Chattanooga Symphony accompanying the ballet perfectly. Having live singing by the choir added a magical feeling to the snow scene. It was a great night of entertainment.

My daughter, granddaughters, and I have made the Chattanooga Ballet's Nutcracker part of our annual Christmas activities for over a decade. It wouldn't be Christmas without it. We thoroughly enjoyed the Sunday afternoon performance. The dancers were all wonderful and we love the new sets. Well done, Chattanooga Ballet! You never disappoint.

We’ve seen CHA Ballet’s The Nutcracker every year for the past 6 years and each year is a new and wonderful experience. The story is the same, but the costuming and sets are being updated yearly so it feels new and fresh. The use of ballet students throughout the performance is fun to watch and it’s also quite impressive to see how much they l’ve learned in preparation for the performance. If you missed it this year, please don’t next year.

My daughter is a dancer! It was a great experience for her and melted my mama heart to see her excitement. The dancers all did a great job. The scene decor was super.

This was our first time attending this ballet at The Memorial Auditorium. We were pleasantly surprised with the performance and overall atmosphere. We would definitely recommend this event.

  • Very disappointing!

I've seen the Nutcracker dozens of times in my lifetime. Each time, it was magical, colorful, and exciting! I bought tickets for this show to introduce my grandchildren to the Nutcracker for the first time, and I had really built up a lot of hype and excitement about all the things they were going to see and experience. What a huge disappointment! We were all bored to tears! I'm NOT knocking the young performers and the hard work that they put in, but the backdrop, props, and the production itself was the most pathetic example of the Nutcracker that I've ever seen. Everything was very abbreviated and set decorations and props were at bare minimum. Where was the magic? What happened to the Land of Sweets with a beautiful set filled with colorful candies, props, etc? Just sad!
