So incredible! Her voice is like butter and she is beyond professional! The lights went out and the show went on! She and her band did not miss a beat! I so adore Cecile! ❤️
Cecile McLorin Salvant Is amazing!! I love events at Centennial Hall, a smaller venue that is more personal and sounds great!
First time for me to hear Cecile Salvant in person - it far exceeded my expectations! Loved Cecile, the bass player, loved the drummer, loved the pianist!! the connection between all of them was fantastic!
Loved her voice, music, interpretation of the music! The piano, drums and the basis musicians were great!
Cecile McLorin Salvant and her band somehow managed to fill an entire concert hall with intimate, friendly, and fun energy. We had a wonderful time experiencing their take on jazz canon and musical theater classics, and were in awe of her vocal range. I bought two CDs after the show just to be able to keep the experience going when I got home. We'll absolutely go see her again the next time she's in town!
The performance was fantastic just wish they played more! She has a very eclectic style and has great range. Brava!
I thought Cecile was a jazz singer. I have no idea why since she sang only Broadway show tunes. Not my choice of music. Fabulous voice and everyone around me loved her.
The venue was super nice inside with convenient parking nearby. We saw Cecile years ago when Wynton Marsallis brought her onstage and announced here is the next Ella Fitzgerald. Cecile’s range is amazing and hope we have the chance to hear her again live.
Cecile is a true professional. Awesome voice and adorably funny
Our daughter brought us tickets to this show and told us we would enjoy herr performance . It was outstanding !! Her voice reminds you of many great jazz singers in the past.
She has a great voice, talks to her audience with her songs, great jazz improvisation of the band. I will for sure see her again.
First thought; Billy Holliday. By last song; all Cecile McLorin Salvant. BRAVO all the way!!! Sum: Simply a very Delightful Evening.
I've seen her several times before and she is a great performer with her own unique style and interpretation of the songs she sings. She has a great voice too.
She is a voice to be heard. Original, artistic & dynamic are descriptions of her voice.
Such a great show from Cecile, Aaron, Paul and Lawrence. I've seen her at least 6 times. She is destin to be a great singer like Billie, Bessie, Betty, Carmen, Sarah, Nancy, Ella ect... I love her song selections. Don't miss her when she comes to your town.
A remarkable moment of incarnated music from Cecile and Aron Diehl trio. They are building a sound and a way to play which are really original and powerful, not forgetting the grace. Tank you, please continue! 5 stars to Cecile On another count, I understand that Jamison wants to pursue his own adventure .At this time, it sounds a little bit like sub-sub Steevie Wonder, and not always in good taste musically at that. 2 stars to Jamison
For the second time I have witnessed greatness. I believe that Cecile is this generations Sarah, Ella and Billie all in one.
The show was fantastic! The quality of her voice was supreme! The unique manner in which she delivered familiar and unfamiliar songs was outstanding! She is a great jazz singer whose music and interpretation of songs, with an awesome trio, was poetic and captivating! She sings to a diverse audience that highly appreciates her talents and the background she brings to her music, woven in a tapestry of Haitian, French, and American cultures. So different! She makes you appreciate jazz from a greater perspective with a soothing drama after the music ends.
Cecile was incredible. The band was incredible. The arrangements are primarily written by the pianist Aarom Diehl and they are brilliant. I cannot say anything bad about this group. They are a MUST SEE, live and in person. Cecile, Aaron, Paul, & Lawrence have played together for years, and you can tell. They function as one cohesive unit, masterfully telling an unforgettable story on each tune. Do yourself a favor and go see this band.
The best and most creative jazz singer I've seen in years.
