Cavetown Live in Concert

Born Robin Skinner in Oxford, United Kingdom, Cavetown is a project of the classically trained, Cambridge-based musician. Skinner rose to prominence in the music scene in the mid-2000s by developing a popular YouTube channel with ukulele-infused covers of pop music icons like Elvis Presley, Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, and Twenty-One Pilots. However, music was a crucial part of Skinner's life from the outset. By the age of 8, Skinner's father was named the Director of Music at Cambridge University. Skinner began recording original music in 2013 and founded the project Cavetown a year later, releasing self-written, self-recorded singles and albums almost immediately. Cavetown's first taste of commercial success came in 2015 with the hit single "This is Home." Cavetown went on to release their self-titled debut album later that year. Recently, Cavetown paired up with singer/songwriter and guitarist beabadoobee to create the recently released "Fall in Love with a Girl," which Cavetown described in a statement as being "about someone who's struggling with their sexuality and how that affects their happiness.

Went to the concert on Cleveland and it was absolutely amazing! Singing was great, everyone was nice, a girl almost passed out in front of us from dehydration and the medical staff there immediately helped which i thought was great that they were there so fast, over all it was the mest first concert everywhere and i would definitely go again.

    by Finny<3 on 9/19/23

All of the concerts of his i’ve been to have been amazing. First one was on April 18th 2022. With opener Addison Grace. Next was July 18th with openers Ricky Montgomery & MXNTOON at bittersweet days. The next one i’m going to of his is with Ricky Montgomery & Addison grace. Im so extremely excited. He has helped me so much and even if he doesn’t even know i exist, i’m still so happy i’ve gotten to see him grow and become what he is now. An amazing, beautiful soul who has helped so many people with horrible things.

    Great experience

    by Eddy 💛 on 8/12/23

I went to bittersweet daze! There was some issues at the end when cavetown went on. My mom started to faint but the crowd was so nice. People offered her water and something to eat (a granola bar). It took a bit for her to feel better so she had to be carried over the barricade and I went with her. Robbie stopped singing to ask if we were okay. He’s truly a very kind person. Once she was feeling better, we caught the rest of the set. Despite everything, we agree that we both had a very good time.

    Poorly Planned

    by Jasmin on 8/9/23

I was very upset about the Bittersweet Daze concert because the doors opened at 6 and the first artist performed at 6. I was there to see the first artist and missed their performance because it took me 40 minutes to get into the venue. Really a waste of money; please do better.

Loved the show! Idk why I wasn't let in when it started!

    by Jules on 8/8/23

I loved the show and cavetown and the openers I saw were lovely! But, At Cavetown's - Bittersweet Daze concert at summer stage in Central Park(not a free concert), concert goers (who had formed a 10 mile line outside the Summer Stage venue) were not permitted entry to the venue until NO AFTER the concert began at 6pm, causing concertgoers to miss all of the first act and most of the 2nd act. I don't know why this was. We were not given any explanation why we weren't let in early enough so that we could all be inside the venue at 6pm when the concert began. We only got to see Ricky Montgomery's last 3 songs.
