    Great show

by Jay on 2/27/24Chevalier Theatre - Medford

Really a great show at a nice little venue. Chan was in great voice and form. Her love of Dylan showed through in her performance. Truly a unique and unforgettable time.

    Dylan Understood

by Tinydancer on 2/26/24The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

Cat Power Singing Dylan interpreting his famous 1966 Royal Albert Hall concert was spot on. The acoustic set was exquisite and the electric set dynamic. The audience was split between gray haired Dylan fans and younger Cat Power affectionadoes. The blend was acoustically electric. A privilege to see and hear.

    Energy seemed flat

by JBinHP on 2/21/24Chevalier Theatre - Medford

I enjoyed the song selections Cat Power seemed lacking confidence and conviction All through the show she was pointing to sound group as if something was off

Very true to the original concert.

by Johnny on 2/20/24Chevalier Theatre - Medford

Cat Powers has all the nuances of Dylan’s poetry, with the added bonus of actually being able to hear the words better!

    She rocked it

by OldHippie on 2/20/24Chevalier Theatre - Medford

Great concert. Amazing to see the transition from acoustic to electric. Only distraction was CP signaling with her hands to get her sound or lighting crew to adjust something while she was singing. Otherwise excellent performance and beautiful vocals.

Cat Powers at Chevalier Theatre in Medford Massachusetts

by Performance was great on 2/20/24Chevalier Theatre - Medford

Cat Powers started about a half hour late with a long acoustic set that was amazing and mellowed you out. Audience was quiet and listening, then bam! right into the electric part of the show to wake everyone up! Great show also. Cat doesn't interact with the audience much, just goes from song to song. I enjoyed the show immensely. The Chevalier Theater in Medford Massachusetts is an old movie theater for an intimate show. Seating in balcony was somewhat blocked by angle of seating and railing. My biggest issue was that because they serve alcohol at a bar outside, the door was constantly opening and closing during the show with bright hallway lights flashing in and flashlight led ushers seating people during performance. A simple black curtain wall in between door and hall would fix this problem.

    Slow entry

by TJ on 2/20/24Chevalier Theatre - Medford

The venue needs to figure out a better way to admit people to the show. By the time we got in the show had been going on for 20 min. We showed up 40 minutes before showtime and we didn’t get in for an hour. Cat Power was amazing

    So good

by GlassMan on 2/20/24Chevalier Theatre - Medford

The 1966 Bob Dylan concert at Free Trade Hall used to circulate on a double CD as “Guitar Kissing & the Contemporary Fix.” It’s a seminal recording and one of the best of Dylan’s career (backed in the electric portion by the Band). Cat Power honored this work and spoke to it across times. There were many sublime moments in both the acoustic and electric portions of the show where the audience was truly transported to the most mystical, most deeply felt interior places. I’m so glad I got to see this.

    Great Show!!

by AHMyers on 2/20/24Chevalier Theatre - Medford

This was a great show and I loved it! The only thing that was missing was some explanation as to why she decided to record her version of this album. It's not a usual thing for an artist to record, word for word, another artist's work and I would have liked to know what motivated this decision.

    Cat Power Rocked!

by Kevin G on 2/15/24Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red Bank

Cat Power sounded amazing at the Count Basie Theater on February 12th. She made those awesome Bob Dylan songs even more awesome with her amazing vocals. Her band were all top notch musicians in their own right. Great night of music.

Count basie theater, never again. Poor lighting and sound and zero crowd control.

    Shows should be fun

by CC on 8/2/22House of Blues Houston - Houston

As much as I like her albums, the show was kind of a downer. It’s a shame she feels so uncomfortable on stage. I saw Lucinda Williams recently and even though she had had a stroke, the show was much more enjoyable and fun.

    was expecting more

We appreciated the live singing but we didn’t like how the lights on stage were off the whole time

    Boring

by Fidelio on 7/20/22Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

She spent more time fiddling with her in-ear monitors than she did singing. She even disappeared a couple time while the band was stuck playing the same section of the song on loop until she returned. The lights were way too dim also so you could barely see her. Just horrible all-around.

    Transcendent!

by Rivers on 7/20/22Orpheum Theatre - Los Angeles

Wow. Cat’s voice has gotten even MORE beautiful with time, the grounded soulful resonance of her voice gave me chills and even brought me to tears a couple times. I loved the dark & intimate atmosphere, hell I even love that she called out for someone to get the giant cockroaches off her stage. Cat Power is unabashedly herself, her lyrics feel like being let in on her secrets. The band sounded fantastic, at one point she called out for sound to raise the volume of her band, and she was absolutely right, what sounded great got even better and vibrated through my brain like a sound bath. She’s a true artist, she knows what works & her high standards gave us an incredible show. My friend and I were blown away. I only wish that some of the audience members respected the sanctity of her performance and waited to shuffle off to the bathroom while opening the doors into the extremely brightly lit hallway in the middle of her intimate set. Folks don’t know theatre etiquette.
