An iconic singer/songwriter, Carole King's career began in the 1950s, and she has been active in the music scene ever since, most recently using her musical talent to support various philanthropic causes ranging from the protection of wild horses to raising money for victims of gun violence. Known for occasionally touring with fellow troubadour James Taylor, King treats ticket buyers to unforgettable experiences enriched by her strong, clear voice, dynamic personality and sometimes even a high-tech rotating stage. She most recently released, "I Believe In Loving You," an iTunes-exclusive single co-written with Hal David, in May 2013.
King began collaborating with her songwriting partner, Gerry Goffin, throughout the 1960s, and together they penned songs that were eventually sang by musical superstars, such as The Beatles and Aretha Franklin. However, it was King's "Tapestry" album, released in 1971, that propelled her career as a solo artist. It topped the Billboard album charts for 15 consecutive weeks and earned four Grammy Awards. A live concert album, titled "The Living Room Tour" was released in 2005 and was notable for being her highest ranking effort since the 1970s once it landed in the top 20 of the Billboard 200 chart. In May 2013, President Obama presented King with the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, and it was the first time that accolade had ever been awarded to a female songwriter. The coming months seem likely to bring continued successes for King. She'll be recognized as the MusiCares Person of the Year due to her artistic merit and charitable contributions, and a Broadway musical based on her life will open in late January, featuring a soundtrack of chart-topping tunes from her extensive discography.

With special thanks to Russ Kunkel, Lee Sklar & Danny Kortchmar, Carole King & James Taylor satisfied!!! Great show!
The sound was horrible for this concert. I do not know a lot about accoustices, but it seems to me that they were horrible. It just really made the whole concert sound off.
The concert was fun and the music was beautiful. Never knew James Taylor could be so funny and his songs were memorable. Carole King is as friendly and nice as ever, and her songs were sweet and uplifting. Together these friends make a wonderful team. I had a great time.
This was the most amazing concert. They did all of my favs and 4 encores! Carole and James were most sincere and not bad vocally after 40 years! Don't miss them. I'm going to try to catch them again later this summer.
This was a classic show. Both were at top form. They showed why they have lasted so long. I could have listened to them all night
This was one of the very best concerts I've seen. The two of them could have sung all night and not touched all their hits! WOW!!!!
Great show...Both Carol and James were exciting to watch and they truly seemed happy about their success. The band and background folks were outstanding. Lots of audience participation. Great night
The Carole King/James Taylor Troubadour Reunion tour stop at the HP Pavillion in San Jose last night did not disappoint and delivered exactly the experience the audience was hoping for. James was his usual, musically impeccable self and I swear he gets more funky with each passing year. The concert featured James' long-time band members Danny Kortchmar on guitar, Lee Sklarr on bass and the incomparable Russ Kunkel on drums. Carole's piano playing evoked all of the emotional impact of her legendary Tapestry album, and her singing voice has, if anything, gotten more soulful with age. The band cooked... James and Carole rocked... all in all, an experience I wouldn't have missed for the world!
This reminded me of how we used to go to Friends of Folk in college that sang in a circle, so for that alone it was worth it. I suppose for many it was about memories. They were the outstanding artist you know. You're reminded the song writing is some of the best of our time and their voices were incredible for people in their 60's ...sextigenarians? I especially like Carole playing some less popular songs that yet showed delicate and fascinating melodies and chord progressions. James sounds as smooth and agile singing than ever but kind looks like Robert Duvall. That's ok. It demonstrates the rigor off being mature with yet a youthful spark. Carole was vibrant on stage, which I didn't expect... thought she' be more reserve. Her smile competed with the 10,000 watt arc light cannons. She was soulful and gutsy at the right times. We just moved to the bay area, so the crowd felt weird. I think every white couple over 50 in the bay area was there. They roared at the end... that's why my ears are ringing. It seemed like a tribute to life's work as much as a fantastic concert.
Carole & James put on an incredible concert that we will never forget! Stage set was awesome along with huge screens for everyone in the house to see. Their video show brought back great memories of our youthful days! Rock on Carole & James!!
The entire band seemed engaged and happy, and it showed through their performances. Carole King showed more energy than when I first saw her in '71. Fantastic energy!
We've seen James Taylor in concert but never with Carole King. She is as good as she ever was and so is he! There is nothing like the two of them together. The concert was fantastic and brought back many, many memories of events we experienced years ago with friends listening to James and Carole. We still listen to their music as it is timeless!
JT is always great, Carol King was beyond expectation, what a great singer/songwriter and overall performer
James Taylor was good but Carole King ROCKED! Unbelievable energy.
Great sound, great music, great concert. Carol King, James Taylor and all of the other musicians were enthusiastic and there was a lot of energy on stage and with the audience. They sang lots of song and we definitely got our money's worth. Overall, a very fun night!
My throat still hurt the morning after from singing, cheering, laughing and singing some more. It was a concert of a life time.
Awesome show. James was tremendous as usual, having lots of fun. But Carole King stole the show, her vocals were soaring, sharp, and soulful. Awesmoe show!
I had heard that James Taylor was great to see so I purchased 4 tickets back in January. I went with one of my sisters and two great friends. I grew up listening to Carole and JT together so I am a big fan. This was an amazing show and they sounded just like they did back in the day!!! Enjoyed every minute of the show and had just a great evening in all!!
Carol King and James Taylor were unbelievable together. The show exceeded my expectations. We enjoyed every minute! Coudn't believe the show went for 3 hours. Carol King was so full of life and energy. The chemistry between them was what really makes the show. They seemed to enjoy every minute of it and so did we.
