Carol was and still is simply fantastic!

What a great show! It was wonderful to be a part of it with the talk back she had with the audience! Happy memories of childhood and having family night came back full force as Carol showed clips of her Carol Burnett show and talked with the crowd about her absolutely hilarious cast of characters. She is an amazing and beautiful lady and I'm so glad I was able to see her do her funny banter in a live show! From the beginning to the end of the time spent watching her it was interesting, entertaining and felt like I was part of an awesome retrospect of what a comedy show should be. When she talked about working with Tim Conway and how she said that Tim felt he was put on earth to make Harvey Korman bust up laughing during the show, you could only laugh loud at what it would have been like to work with such amazing talent. I only wish I could share her comedy with my children!

I'm so glad we had this time together

I honestly wasn't sure what to expect from the show before I saw it. I love Carol Burnett's work - but how interesting could a questions and answer session be? I was pleasantly surprised. After a review of old footage, of course, it all made sense. Q&A was always a big part of her show and led to some very memorable moments. Carol was funny and spontaneous, warm and geniune. The entire experience was intimate and personal. I was amazed at how the questions were completely unscreened and she was just working off the cuff. Similarly - the people who wanted autographs and photos were handled with real class without interrupting the show. Carol looked amazing. I was tempted to ask who she was wearing - i was a classic yet dazzling outfit. The video montages were nicely integrated into the flow of the show - and gave everyone a healthy reminder of the creativity of the show as well as the calibre of guests featured on the show. Carol offered nothing but praise and fond memories of her show's ensemble cast. It was wonderful to get her own story on the genesis of The Carol Burnett show. The time truly flew by - and when the the show was over - it felt as though we'd just begun. It made her theme song lyrics seem that much more appropriate. I'm sorry for new generations of TV viewers who will never again have a show like The Carol Burnett show. That kind of show cannot and wil not be recreated. Luckily we can still see the show on DVD.
