Carly Rae Jepsen in Concert
After multi-platinum Grammy, Juno and Polaris Prize nominated singer/songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen released her critically acclaimed album E·MO·TION in 2015, it became "a modern touchstone for a new crop of pop-leaning artists and legacy acts," as NPR noted. The album also inspired an abundance of memes — extending the cultural cachet that Jepsen earned from the ubiquity of her GRAMMY® -nominated blockbuster hit "Call Me Maybe" (from her U.S debut album Kiss), which not only climbed to No. 1 on the iTunes Singles charts in over 47 countries, sold over 20 million singles worldwide, and was certified Diamond in the U.S., but was referenced by everyone from former secretary-of-state Colin Powell to Cookie Monster.
Jepsen's most recent album, 2019's Dedicated, retains the joyful, hook-filled feeling of its predecessor. But where E*MO*TION was an '80s-influenced synth-pop classic that Rolling Stone called "a pop masterclass" and Stereogum called "indisputable, unfuckwithable pop genius," Dedicated has a more '70s-inspired feel at times, though the album defies categorization as a whole, with Vulture stating, "Dedicated is both stranger and freer than the last record, but it also feels more confident and considered." Working with a crew of trusted songwriters and producers, among them John Hill, Jack Antonoff, Captain Cuts, Patrik Berger, and her longtime collaborator Tavish Crowe, Jepsen indulged in more sonic experimentation than she had in the past. Dedicated features the fan favorites "Party For One," "Now That I Found You," "No Drug Like Me" and "Julien."
Jepsen landed the lead role in the 2014 Broadway production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella and later starred as the iconic Pink Lady, "Frenchy," in FOX's four-time EMMY award winning musical GREASE: LIVE. Jepsen voiced the character of Odette in the animated movie "LEAP!," which also featured Jepsen's song "Cut To The Feeling."
Carly Rae Jepsen on Tour
Following the release of Dedicated Jepsen embarked on a global tour playing to audiences at venues like the Arizona Federal Theatre in North America, as well as crowds in Japan, China, Australia, Canada and Europe. Jepsen will return to the U.S. later this year for performances at Coachella and Governor's Ball.
A wonderful performance. A burst of joy and excitement from beginning to end. A truly ethereal and exhilarating experience. Highly recommend.
Such a wonderful show. Carly played nonstop hit after hit to a sold out audience. One of my favorite artists of all time. It was a great night at Radio City!!
I had a great time seeing Carly Rae Jepsen at The Met Philadelphia,
This is my second time seeing Carly and I think she might be my favorite concert experience of all time. Her fans are the absolute best; you can feel the love they have for her and the love that Carly and her team have for them. Her set is just banger after banger; at the end of the show it felt like she wanted to stay for another hour, which I would have gladly done as well. Would definitely see again, 1000000 percent!
Everyone needs to experience a Carly concert. The venue was perfect. The vibes- immaculate. The graphics- amazing. She gave choreo, she was funny and energetic. The set was two hours! It was a joyous and freeing night.
Carly puts on the best show, the vibe is immaculate. Anthem was a great venue
Carly Rae Jepsen is the greatest human being currently living and also possibly the greatest who has ever lived. This was the third time I'd seen her, after wondrous experiences on the Gimmie Love and Dedicated tours, and now more than ever I think she is the most delightful and ecstatically brilliant performer on the planet. I did burst briefly but powerfully into tears during "Run Away With Me" but for the rest of the evening I had a big dumb grin on my huge stupid face, particularly while sounding my barbaric yawp—here meaning the chorus of "When I Needed You"—over the roofs of the world, and I hope my face keeps hurting forever. Honestly if CRJ is swinging through ur town there is nothing else you can do that evening that won't be a huge waste of time that you will look back on ruefully when you are at the pearly gates and St. Peter is saying well you had a good run but Carly Rae Jepsen blew diaphanously through your area in autumn 2022 and you neglected to go see her and what was all THAT about. Meanwhile the Carly Rae Jepsenheads within heaven's gates will be gathered together Cutting To The Feeling in aeternum. Heaven is a place where nothing ever happens *except* for Carly Rae Jepsen concerts. Don't miss ur chance at a slice of that sweet sweet forever during your time in the mortal realms.
My lord, Carly Rae Jepsen is a force. Went on around 9:15 and went for straight two hours with very few pauses - one song had an extended playout for a costume change. The energy level was off the charts - energized, communal, everything you could want from a concert. Perfect number of confetti shots. Everything you could hope for in a concert.
This was my 9yo daughter's first ever concert and she loved it! She says Carly sounds even better in person. I also loved that the Anthem gives a certificate to first time concert goers, and the staff there was super nice.
AAAAAAAH I CRIED IT WAS SO AWESOME IM SEEING HER AGAIN 1000%!!!!!!!!
The show was great !!! Loved her entrance with all the great effects . We had a great time .
The concert was sooo much fun! Carly was funny and energetic, the musicians and other performers were excellent, and the stage and production was really cool. Such an awesome, upbeat show!
Wow! I’ve never seen a concert where the artist plays so many songs, all of them in full, and the crowd has consistently so much energy! No one stopped dancing or singing except for 2 or 3 slow songs for everyone to catch their breath. Dancing, jumping, singing, the energy was incredible and Carly is the best
The best concert ever! Carly was so amazing! I can’t wait to see another show!
I've been waiting a long time to see Carly in concert and I am so happy I got to spend Wednesday night with her. She is so good and her music just makes you happy and smile.
The Queen was great. Great peformer, sound was great. Only flaw was that creepy moon thing.
The amount of joy Carly Rae Jepsen radiates on stage is infectious. She’s a born performer and you can’t help but feel happy watching her. She’s one of the best artists I’ve ever seen live.
Amazing performer! Amazing setlist! What more can you ask for?
This was my first concert ever, we arrived early-ish so we ended up in the middle of the crowd closer to the stage, and oh my god!!!! So much energy, so much singing, so much fun!!! Even the opening act with Empress Of was so good!! I can't wait till Carly comes to DC again! 🙏
The VIP package was more organized than manchester... saying that tho. It wasnt worth the amount for her to answer 4 questions and 1 group photo. I got front row.. barelt as the stage was so small. The opening act... was.. shockingly bad. Carly however was Carly and we had a lil ol party
