Carly Rae Jepsen in Concert
After multi-platinum Grammy, Juno and Polaris Prize nominated singer/songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen released her critically acclaimed album E·MO·TION in 2015, it became "a modern touchstone for a new crop of pop-leaning artists and legacy acts," as NPR noted. The album also inspired an abundance of memes — extending the cultural cachet that Jepsen earned from the ubiquity of her GRAMMY® -nominated blockbuster hit "Call Me Maybe" (from her U.S debut album Kiss), which not only climbed to No. 1 on the iTunes Singles charts in over 47 countries, sold over 20 million singles worldwide, and was certified Diamond in the U.S., but was referenced by everyone from former secretary-of-state Colin Powell to Cookie Monster.
Jepsen's most recent album, 2019's Dedicated, retains the joyful, hook-filled feeling of its predecessor. But where E*MO*TION was an '80s-influenced synth-pop classic that Rolling Stone called "a pop masterclass" and Stereogum called "indisputable, unfuckwithable pop genius," Dedicated has a more '70s-inspired feel at times, though the album defies categorization as a whole, with Vulture stating, "Dedicated is both stranger and freer than the last record, but it also feels more confident and considered." Working with a crew of trusted songwriters and producers, among them John Hill, Jack Antonoff, Captain Cuts, Patrik Berger, and her longtime collaborator Tavish Crowe, Jepsen indulged in more sonic experimentation than she had in the past. Dedicated features the fan favorites "Party For One," "Now That I Found You," "No Drug Like Me" and "Julien."
Jepsen landed the lead role in the 2014 Broadway production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella and later starred as the iconic Pink Lady, "Frenchy," in FOX's four-time EMMY award winning musical GREASE: LIVE. Jepsen voiced the character of Odette in the animated movie "LEAP!," which also featured Jepsen's song "Cut To The Feeling."
Carly Rae Jepsen on Tour
Following the release of Dedicated Jepsen embarked on a global tour playing to audiences at venues like the Arizona Federal Theatre in North America, as well as crowds in Japan, China, Australia, Canada and Europe. Jepsen will return to the U.S. later this year for performances at Coachella and Governor's Ball.
Taylor WHO??? CRJ is my QUEEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Carly Rae Jepsen is one of those artists that is too often seriously underrated. She's been creating terrific pop music ever since "Call Me Maybe" with several albums and singles that would make any pop loving fan fall in love with her. Great show at a great venue. Love her. Can't wait to see her again.
Carly puts on an amazing show, her energy and enthusiasm can't help but make you feel good. The crowd was great too, everyone was there to have a good time and no one wants to ruin it. The Greek is also a great venue, good size and parking isn't a total nightmare. Overall, absolutely worth the money.
CRJ is what happened when a fizzy pink lemonade becomes sentient and goes on tour. Just so so much fun
Second time seeing queen Carly. Amazing show. Never disappoints
She is not that famous not that popular only couple songs were famous so everyone not so high when she sing other songs and her vocal not that good
Awesome venue graced by an amazing performer. Blown away by her talent and energy and omg Rufus Wainright.
Could barely hear Carly singing. She never once addressed the audience except to promote her new album. Audience was a weird mix of teenagers and 55 year old gay men acting like teenagers, clearly all there for one song. Security allowed pocket knives into the venue, was not comfortable with that so left early. Opening act was better than Carly. Then again, they typically are. Labels need to get a clue on who the real artists are and start giving these lame acts the boot.
The Greek Theater was an awesome venue -- parking was easy, getting into the venue was a breeze, lots of food and drink options. Merch stalls were organized. Carly is one of the greatest live experiences. The crowd was amazing. She pointed right at me. I died and went to heaven. Thanks, Carly!
Carly exudes high energy with her followers. I attended to take a family member who needed an adult chaperone. Given the fact I am in my 60’s, I enjoyed Carly’s concert. I could have done without her opening performer. I believe Carly could find a better opening performer. Didn’t understand any words to the music…just didn’t enjoy the opening performer.
the energy was amazing, the set up, the outfits, EVERYTHING!
Carly was great, but the acoustics in the venue were terrible. We couldn’t hear Carly’s voice in the pit.
2 best shows I've ever been to are Carly shows. So much fun and the audience is great
This was an event I went in with zero expectations and it was a blast! The opener artist was great and then we got Carly for 1.5hrs. She's such a great live performer, cost was right and the duration was perfect to do other weekend activities post event. I would do this ALL OVER AGAIN.
Carly Rae Jepsen is definitely a concert I would recommend for any fan of concerts or pop music. The energy in the room was unmatched, and Carly really knew how to put on a show. The choreography was amazing, and her band/backup singers and dancers were incredible. The set list was long, so if you're not one for long concerts, I would be weary, but for me, it made the experience even better. Overall, a great experience and one I would strongly recommend!
I really didn’t know much about her and i went to her concert and it was sooo much fun! her songs are easy to learn. Although i wasn’t a fan on Empress Of only because it was the same dance moves and she kept looking at herself in the mirror
Concert ambience was amazing! Carly did a great job and I’m so happy I went!
Took my heavy metal loving boyfriend to see Carly, and by the end of the night he was a believer. Absolutely stunning performance from Carly that I will treasure for a lifetime.
The sound was great, she was on key, very energetic, and a great show overall!
Carly Rae Jepsen is the most underrated pop star of our time and her performance is nothing short of a radiant spectacle!! Queen of concerts!!
