Carly Rae Jepsen in Concert
After multi-platinum Grammy, Juno and Polaris Prize nominated singer/songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen released her critically acclaimed album E·MO·TION in 2015, it became "a modern touchstone for a new crop of pop-leaning artists and legacy acts," as NPR noted. The album also inspired an abundance of memes — extending the cultural cachet that Jepsen earned from the ubiquity of her GRAMMY® -nominated blockbuster hit "Call Me Maybe" (from her U.S debut album Kiss), which not only climbed to No. 1 on the iTunes Singles charts in over 47 countries, sold over 20 million singles worldwide, and was certified Diamond in the U.S., but was referenced by everyone from former secretary-of-state Colin Powell to Cookie Monster.
Jepsen's most recent album, 2019's Dedicated, retains the joyful, hook-filled feeling of its predecessor. But where E*MO*TION was an '80s-influenced synth-pop classic that Rolling Stone called "a pop masterclass" and Stereogum called "indisputable, unfuckwithable pop genius," Dedicated has a more '70s-inspired feel at times, though the album defies categorization as a whole, with Vulture stating, "Dedicated is both stranger and freer than the last record, but it also feels more confident and considered." Working with a crew of trusted songwriters and producers, among them John Hill, Jack Antonoff, Captain Cuts, Patrik Berger, and her longtime collaborator Tavish Crowe, Jepsen indulged in more sonic experimentation than she had in the past. Dedicated features the fan favorites "Party For One," "Now That I Found You," "No Drug Like Me" and "Julien."
Jepsen landed the lead role in the 2014 Broadway production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella and later starred as the iconic Pink Lady, "Frenchy," in FOX's four-time EMMY award winning musical GREASE: LIVE. Jepsen voiced the character of Odette in the animated movie "LEAP!," which also featured Jepsen's song "Cut To The Feeling."
Carly Rae Jepsen on Tour
Following the release of Dedicated Jepsen embarked on a global tour playing to audiences at venues like the Arizona Federal Theatre in North America, as well as crowds in Japan, China, Australia, Canada and Europe. Jepsen will return to the U.S. later this year for performances at Coachella and Governor's Ball.
The show was great! NO ONE UNDER 13 YEARS OF AGE SHOULD ATTEND A CONCERT!
Each artist exceeded my expectations. I was very disappointed that Icona Pop could not make it to the show.
Icona Pop cancelled and the audience wasn't told until right before they were supposed to go on. Also you could barely hear some of the acts because their band was too loud. Plus Cher Lloyd was obviously singing along with a backing track and didn't even attempt to sing the high notes.
This concert was the best one yet. I loved every moment of it. Amazing!
All the venues were amazing & highly entertaining. They kept us out of seats rocking with the beat the entire night. Each artist made their portion fun & amazing. We really enjoyed the eclectic music.
It was the best night of my life! I got to see many artists perform that I like! But the best part was getting to meet my idol, Cher Lloyd and being able to see her perform!<3 I had so much fun at this event and it's definetly a night I will NEVER forget! :)
Concert was advertised as Carly Rae Jepson being the main event, not one of 4 acts as part of the summer smash series. She is a relatively new performer so maybe her having her own concert as a main event is not possible at this point in her career. However the way the concert was advertised one would think this was her concert not a Summer Smash Series concert. I would not have traveled 3.5 hours had i known this. My daughter and her friend did not know any of the other performers performing in the concert. Feel like the performance was truly misrepresented.
emblem3 was incredible! the meet and greet was quick but worth it
the concert was so much fun and the prices for tickets were amazing i got the emblem3 vip package and that was only $100 compared to other meet and greets that is a great price and getting to meet them wad amazing hope they do it again
Emblem 3, Cher Lloyd and 3oh!3 were awesome !! Carly Rae Jepson was ok, but I wouldn't see her again
I loved the show . I just wish everyone else came into the crowed a little more like 3oh3 did. They all did an amazing job though and put on great show ! Also the only complainent I had was they didn't have much merchandise for sale I was expecting more shirts and items for sale but overall it was a fun experience :)
Really great entertainer! Got me out of my seat jumping and singing along!
She gave us a great show one thats unforgetable! I admit I'm a huge fan so that would be one reason why i love her but thats just not all of it. She has great stage performance, gets the crowd going, wonderful singer and plus she's cute too! I took my sister(who was not a very big fan of carly) to the Believe concert by JB and she fell in love with Carly who was opening for him. Now she's also as a big fan as I am. So basically she is a highly recommended singer. You all should check her out!
Shane Harper was poor but at least he played for a full 45 minutes. Disappointed that Carly Rae only played for 37 minutes. She has so much good material she could have stretched it to at least an hour. Stunned that she played Call Me Maybe 32 minutes into the concert then left the stage in such a hurry... no chance for an encore.
Terrific performance, got the fans involved, sang some never released songs that you can tell will be the next big hits! Definitely worth the money that I spent!
I saw Carly Rae Jepsen as a Disney kid that boppy kids watch but anything for my niece. I was super impressed at the amazing, unique voice she has. Refreshing to not hear the same voice, music, style, etc.....
I got the tickets for my daughter and her friend. They said she put on a good show but it was a short set. They wanted more.
Good but will better when she has more than ONE hit song!!
She has a good voice that sounds a bit nasally. Her mic volume was too low at the start of her performance but then the sound person made it too loud. Her music has a good dance quality that I enjoyed. The fair is a great place to watch a concert because it is a small place and you can see the performer easily. They also had some big screens to help the fans get a closer view.
I bought tickets for my daughter (13) and niece (9), and an extra which my nephew was forced to go. They sat in the fifth row and when we met them at the gate when it was over, they were still excited and I got lots of hugs and kisses. All they could say was you and Carly rock!!!. The said it was so fun and they loved the performance. So cool.
