Carla Morrison on Tour
Carla Morrison is a Mexican indie-pop singer and composer. Morrison is on tour in 2022 and will be bringing the heat with performances of her most popular singles, such as "Te Regalo" and "Disfruto." Morrison is known for her silky smooth soprano voice. She is bringing a new sound on tour, with songs she wrote to help her overcome anxiety. Carla Morrison is on tour and bringing a new sound; however, the artist is no stranger to success and popularity. Morrison won Latin Grammy Awards and her first two full-length albums, Déjenme Llorar and Amor Supremo, were nominated for Grammys.
Morrison was born and raised in Tecate, Baja California, to Mexican parents, Porfiria Flores and Hilario Morrison. At age 17, Morrison moved to Phoenix, Arizona, to study music at Mesa Community College. Morrison released her first EP in 2009, titled Aprendiendo a Aprender, which was independently produced in a home studio. Her second EP, Mientras tú Dormías, was released in 2010 and produced by Natalia Lafourcade.
In March 2012, Morrison released her debut album Déjenme Llorar, which soared to success, reaching certified platinum status in Mexico and charting at No. 15 on Billboard's Top Latin Pop Albums chart.
A multi-talented artist, Morrison made her debut as an actress in 2015 as Laura in the romantic comedy film Ana Maria in Novela Land. Morrison has also produced holiday albums and reinvented her sound and lyrics on several occasions. Morrison seeks to bring authenticity and vulnerability to her audience, bringing them alongside her on her journey. I dare say, the concert was therapeutic in the most positive way. The way she interacts with her audience and the way she expresses herself through her music makes one connect with her on a personal level. I would definitely attend another concert of hers without a doubt. I would give her 10/5 stars. This concert was beyond extraordinary!!!

I know that another concert at that venue I wouldn’t attend. Her singing was amazing just like her CDs, an incredible vocal range and very melodic.

Her classics were obviously amazing to hear, but her new songs were great too. Really happy with my purchase. And can’t wait to see her again in the future.

by Mel on 3/7/23Kings Theatre - BrooklynUnfortunately the show started too late, we waited 1h30 minutes for her to perform and even that Carla was awesome, she really made up for the wait but she only sang for 1h:30 minutes; I really love her music and she surprised us with her great talent but I think the Theater should’ve gave her extra time to make up for the wait. On my experience it felt like they were rushing her and I don’t think it was the artist, it looked more like there was an issue with the Theater. It was un unpleasant experience, I have never waited so long to see an artist performed.

Kings Theatre was a perfect scenario for an artist of her caliber, that night she touched many souls and help people “reborn” as it’s one of the main purposes for her show. I honestly will never forget that voice, that charisma, that uniqueness. That night for sure was an unforgettable journey, to say that you are missing out is an understatement.
