Morrison was born and raised in Tecate, Baja California, to Mexican parents, Porfiria Flores and Hilario Morrison. At age 17, Morrison moved to Phoenix, Arizona, to study music at Mesa Community College. Morrison released her first EP in 2009, titled Aprendiendo a Aprender, which was independently produced in a home studio. Her second EP, Mientras tú Dormías, was released in 2010 and produced by Natalia Lafourcade.
In March 2012, Morrison released her debut album Déjenme Llorar, which soared to success, reaching certified platinum status in Mexico and charting at No. 15 on Billboard's Top Latin Pop Albums chart.
A multi-talented artist, Morrison made her debut as an actress in 2015 as Laura in the romantic comedy film Ana Maria in Novela Land. Morrison has also produced holiday albums and reinvented her sound and lyrics on several occasions.
