    Irie Jamboree

    by Marly123 on 9/4/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

The arena is very nice. The tickets were overpriced for the seats. I viewed the seating chart before I purchased my tickets and the seats appeared closer to the stage. When I saw the seats at the arena they were horrible. I am in no rush to return there.

    GREAT DRUM AND BASS

by Itrenea on 9/4/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

STARTED ON TIME. SOUND ACOUSTICS WHERE INCREDIBLE WONDERED WHY THE HEADLINER DAMIEN MARLEY WAS NOT THE LAST PERFORMANCE, CLEARLY THE BEST. ENDED WITH SHABBA RANKS WHICH WAS RUSHED AND NOT AS GOOD AS DAMIEN'S OR LADY SAW. LADY SAW ALWAYS GIVES AN ENTERTAINING PERFORMANCE . WHY WHERE THERE SECTIONS OF THE STADIUM NOT FILLED WITH TICKET HOLDERS? THERE WERE SEVERAL TOTALLY EMPTY SECTIONS, WHILE SOME WERE FILLED. SOMEONE TRIED TO PURCHASE TICKETS THE WEEK OF THE SHOW AND IT WAS STATED IT WAS SOLD OUT. HOW WAS THAT POSSIBLE WITH SO MANY EMPTY SEATS. I PURCHASED TKTS ALMOST A MONTH IN ADVANCE AND THERE WERE A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF SEATS UNAVAILABLE.

The show was great it would have been much nicer had they just played some music instead of all that talking during band changed. Overall it was a great show.

    Awesome Show

by Devikwa on 9/4/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Had a great time. Got to see some legends. The best part was getting up close to Junior Gong, & seeing Lady Saw. Shabba & Capelton killed it & closed the show down. Awesome night.

Shabba's time was minimal- given he was the headliner. The band took too much time to set up and they weren't very good

    Great Artists - what a treat1

    by zappafreak69 on 9/4/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

I love all of the performers and had never had a chance to see Lady Saw or Shabba live until this show. They were all incredible! My only complaint was that, with all of the empty seats, the staff should have let everyone move closer so we could all be together. Everyone was separated and we were not allowed to move even though half the theater was empty.

Shaba looked like a million dollars

by MsSadiq on 9/4/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Shaba Ranks looked better than ever although Damien Marley and his brothers were the highlight of the show. the only problem was that the arena was empty for half the show due to late-comers that made the arena feel off balance. Come on time to see events.

    Good past time

by Dorly on 9/3/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

It was a complete mess in term of sound. Of course Haitian are always late. The show start one hour late. The djakout was ok, good sound but no mike. Tabou didn't have either sound or mike. If they were fully prepare they good have given a good performance. Kassav' was great. They came with their own equipment so the sound was good and they gave a great performance as always. Wyclif was alright. Although he s not my favorite, he did gave a great performance. Overall, the show could have been much more enjoyable if the Haitians band came all prepared in terms of sound which was very unfortunate and on time.

    Disappointed

by Visionarymind on 9/3/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Overall, I was disappointed by the turnout to see these soca artists. Perhaps blame lies with the many other options available in NYC this past weekend during celebrations of Caribbean/West Indian culture. Also, if the tickets were priced at a nominal level you would get more attendees and fill the arena as opposed to the sparse audience.

    I LOVE SOCA!!!!

by sankofabird on 9/3/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

This was a show That people of all ages would LOVE!! I had some doubts since I've never attended a soca show that Machel Montano didn't headline but in the end, I was satisfied. There was a surprisingly low turnout that night and management decided last minute to allow everyone on the floor. Overall, I highly recommend this show but I do feel that WE, especially as West Indians, need to realize that being able to perform at the Barclays Center IS A BIG DEAL!!!! WE need to support OUR events, OUR culture, OUR PEOPLE!!!

    No Superblue!

by elelem on 9/3/13Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Very disappointed Superblue did not perform as advertised! This was the main reason for purchasing tickets. We didn't have enough of Edwin Yearwood! He did a couple songs and that was it! Bunji Garlin, Fay-Ann Lyons and Iwer George were enjoyable performances. We prefer more of traditional Soca (i.e. Superblue). So, show was somewhat of a letdown.
