As part of their 50th Anniversary Season, the critically acclaimed and award-winning Roundabout Theatre Company is proud to present SAM MENDES (Skyfall, American Beauty) and ROB MARSHALL’S (Into the Woods and Chicago, the films) Tony Award-winning production of CABARET.
Welcome to the infamous Kit Kat Klub, where the Emcee, Sally Bowles, and a raucous ensemble take the stage nightly to tantalize the crowd––and to leave their troubles outside. But as life in pre-WWII Germany grows more and more uncertain, will the decadent allure of Berlin nightlife be enough to get them through their dangerous times?
Come hear some of the most memorable songs in theatre history, including “Cabaret,” “Willkommen” and “Maybe This Time.” Leave your troubles outside – life is beautiful at CABARET, JOHN KANDER, FRED EBB and JOE MASTEROFF’s Tony-winning musical about following your heart while the world loses its way.
Astounding! Absolutely amazing.......very well performed The emcee was great.......joel grey great! I wanted to take him home
My friend and I risked white-out driving conditions to come from Rochester for our performance of Cabaret. It was well worth the drive. Tyler Michaels was amazing and will certainly be someone we'll see in many more productions. He is the complete package: vocalist, actor, dancer, acrobat. He was on-stage for around 85% of the production and we couldn't keep our eyes off of him. The entire ensemble and the overall direction was superb. Rush to see this!
Tyler Michaels as the Emcee was superb. He alone is worth seeing the show, but the whole cast was terrific as well. The production was extremely well done - scenery, orchestra, acting and singing. "Sally" (Kira Lace Hawkins) has a very powerful voice and sang with such emotion. Beautiful. Loved the show.
Was not sure what to expect with this show but really enjoyed it! The MC was very talented and fun to watch. I loved that they had a band on set to see them play throughout the show. The set was well put together and the whole cast was amazing! Great show!!!!!!!!
Excellent production. The emcee was especially memorable; he looked like a fallen angel. The older couple's romance was so moving. Sally and Cliff's affair was really well staged. This is not a musical for the kiddies ; Cliff's bisexuality is strongly implied. Great staging. I was lucky enough to attend a free pre-show lecture by the choreographer and set designer.
One of the best Broadway shows I have seen. Acting and production were fabulous. A must see!
Terrific! Amazingly well acted by all. Enormous amounts of detail and subtlety, Have seen many many productions of this show but this was by far the best. This was the fourth production in Minneapolis in the last five years, but everything else pales in comparison. Terrific costumes. Much ingenuity. Saw twice. Acting was vastly better second time around although first time was near flawless Tyler Michaels is destined to be brilliant as "Hedwig" sometime in the near future.
After seeing the original a few times over the years I have been waiting for it to be redone yet again-and it was a wonderful evening-2.5 hours and worth every penny. We had front row seats, but even the balcony would have worked as it was loud and perfect. Would love to be able to afford to see it yet again while at the Pantages.
You've all heard about the amazing job from the MC but the rest of the cast was spot on. Fräulein S. and Sally Bowles were great as well as the acting and singing done by the Jewish merchant. Wonderful, local talent.
Beautifully staged. The actor playing the emcee, Tyler Michaels, is awesome. Sally is played by Kira Lace Hawkins and it pretty much a consensus that she's a better singer than Liza. All the actors with signing roles have wonderful voices. The mind blowing thing is that they're all local!
You will not be disappointed with this show. Every cast member is phenomenal, but the Emcee and Sally are UNFORGETABLE. The choreography was stunning, the costumes were great, the singing was perfect! Everything was just so awesome. I'd love to go again. Highly entertaining.
Cabaret was a great show! I had never seen it before and would highly recommend it!! Great singing and dancing :)
This show was fantastic. The cast was outstanding and the actor who played emcee blow my mind with his talent. When Sally sang Cabaret I thought she was better then when Liza did. Best show that I have been to in years!!!!!
This was a wonderful production of Cabaret. I am amazed at the talent that was displayed through out this production. The cast was so good. I would love to see it again. I hope everyone who loves music and theater has a chance to go to Cabaret. Well worth it.
This was an excellent show. The leads were all really wonderful. The set was inventive. The onstage band was talented and lots of fun. It was simply great!
Tyler Richards the EmCee is incredibly talented and is surrounded by a cast that makes this show a must see. The performance makes a positive statement about human diversity and the fears of those who seek power and control over others.
The cast was perfect and the play was phenomenal! Best play I've seen at an amazing theater. Already recommended it to all my friends!
Let's start with the theater. It was a perfect venue..small, compact, inclined seats. But it did not feel crowded. From the opening scene the show was exciting. The actors were superb. I couldn't imagine any one playing Joel Grey's role and being as great a success. Michaels was amazing! as was Kira Lace Hawkins. The whole cast was wonderful..Bravo especially to Peter Rothstein, Artistic Director. The ending brought an unexpected reality.
Loads of energy, wonderful production. Great to see so much local talent. Very entertaining, super casting of roles.
Cabaret at the Pantages in Minneapolis is a tremendous, entertaining show. All my favorite songs from the movie are included, the cast is wonderful (especially Tyler Michaels as the Emcee and Sally Wingert as the landlady), the staging is vibrant and uses the entire theater including the balcony, and the singing and dancing are superb. I would go a second time if I could.
