Not Pleased!
by Momma on 12/11/24Clowes Memorial Hall - IndianapolisRating: 2 out of 5Extremely disappointing that traditional programs/playbills were not provided. Only when asked did an employee begrudgingly give the 2 of us one card and told us to use our smart phone to scan if we wanted to see information. Unfortunately, as if that wasn’t bad enough, the type was so minuscule it was worthless and impossible to read.
The venue itself was extremely cold. I am typically the hottest person in any office or crowd. At the last minute, I threw on a festive holiday sweater, regretting it on the drive because I thought I would be hot. Quite the contrary! My hands were like ice cubes. Thank God I had worn that sweater, but even then I was still extremely cold in winter slacks! It was not that cool outside so they must’ve had the air-conditioning on full blast.
I don’t know who rewrote the Nutcracker but, I’ve seen it before so I know what to expect. This was not it. I will be going to a local high school production of the same program this week for $15 and free parking instead of driving an hour and 20 minutes to Butler University where I spent over $200 for two tickets and $15 to park, and freeze the entire two hours at the venue.
