In 2012, rap legend Busta Rhymes made a triumphant return to the game with two Grammy nominations for "Look At Me Now," his chart-topping collaboration with young R&B star Chris Brown. Rhymes continued to assert his preeminence on the Superstars of Hip Hop Tour in 2013, delivering songs like "Kill Dem" and "Respect My Conglomerate" with his signature machine gun speed and entertaining ticket buyers with his outré style and seizure-inspired dance moves. Since signing with Cash Money Records in 2011, Rhymes has been busier than ever, releasing a spate of successful singles including "Twerk It" featuring Nicki Minaj from his 2014 album E.L.E.2 (Extinction Level Event 2).
Rhymes's idiosyncratic style suits his Jamaican heritage and Brooklyn upbringing. After signing to Elektra Records at Just 17, Rhymes found himself collaborating with the biggest names in the industry, gaining notoriety for his impressive verses on tracks by A Tribe Called Quest, Boyz II Men, and Mary J. Blige. In 1995, director John Singleton cast Rhymes in the film Higher Learning, but the following year would prove the most pivotal in his rise to stardom. His 1996 debut album The Coming was an overnight success, landing at No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and earning Rhymes his breakout hit with "Woo-Hah!! (Got You All in Check)," which was accompanied by one of the most iconic music videos of the decade. He would go on to release seven more Top 10 albums throughout the '90s and 2000's, including The Big Bang in 2006, his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Rhymes continues to bring his outrageous style, leftfield wit and virtuoso delivery to his live performances, building anticipation for his live concerts in support of 2014's E.L.E.2 (Exctinction Level Event 2).
Amazing concert so much fun. All performers were great.
Ma$e, Lloyd Banks, Juvenile & Busta Rhymes in that order. All were phenomenal. I wish juvenile had a longer set though. I couldn't find a merchandise table either. Surprised more folks didnt attend.
It was non stop fun from start to finish. If he comes to the area again with all the others I am definitely going back to see him again. Absolutely amazing
First time at Big Night Live. Great performances, however, really long wait between openers and Bustah Rhymes. Drinks reasonably priced, quality inconsistent. Bustah was great!
Busta came out at 12:30 a.m., show started at 10 p.m. and he played until 1:10 a.m. talent-wise he is great but coming out so late and only performing for 40 minutes was disappointing.
Busta Rhymes put on a great high energy show. Wish the performance was just a little longer and I wish the Djs would have played a mix of modern and old school music to entertain the crowd before Busta Rhymes came on stage.
Plenty of space. Awesome venue. Great Show. Highly recommended
The wait time was amazing and Busta did his thing the crowd and the atmosphere was amazing.
Busta killed it like he always does. He’s been doing this for years and has lost a step. One of the best live performers ever!!!!! He had the whole building rocking , the energy was crazy. At one point I thought the whole floor was going to collapse. If you never seen Busta perform your cheating yourself.
Firstly I love santander as a venue, there sound is always awesome. Then the Bad. Busta Rhymes great performance but he switched line up to him being opener so he could leave early for his wife on vday. Crowd that was there hype. Performance GREAT! Next. Bad switch from Jagged Edge to 112. I've never seen JE so I was looking forward to them. 112 was HORRIBLE. 4 people came out. Only 2 with mics. 2 were dancers 2 tried to sing. There lights and music turned off. They were AWFUL! Saving grace SISQO could have been 1 man show but his DruHill member switch was a good 1. Playa being new members was great. Dance moves and singing phenomenal. Sisqo is Druhill and saved the night from nightmare
Busta Rhymes was awesome. He put on a great show although slightly militant at times (told the crowd that he had other things to do..really?..who says that at their concert). There were microphone difficulties that added to 112's struggle. They brought it back around towards the end. The highlight of the night was Dru Hill. They sounded great, sung a capella and had the crowd in tune. My favorite part was that they sang the songs instead of asking us to sing after we paid for the damn ticket! Overall 2 out of 3 ain't bad with slight technical difficulties.
Busta Rhymes was advertised as the headliner, however, he performed first stating he had others plans & rushed thru his low budget set. No special effects, back drop, costumes, or dancers. The next group, 112, was missing have the group & sounded TERRIBLE. Everyone seated around me was laughing at them. Dru Hill saved the day as they played last & even though only 1 original member was present the other 2 sounded great.
I had a ball. Front row seats for under $200. Parking was great and the performances were great. The only problem was people kept coming in section/ in front of our seats, but otherwise was a great experience
This was a great concert. Me and my husband enjoyed our selves we deff would be going there not we often
Busta Rhymes was amazing!!!! 112 seemed more like a karaoke group when they performed a little disappointing. But Dru Hill was incredible!!! All in all it still turned out to be a great night!!
The show was great. It could’ve had screens so we could see it better, but it still wasn’t to bad. I hope Busta Rhymes comes back with a new album. I always liked him.
Good seating for concert nice environment the best part of it was the jet tube in room nice set up for Valentine's day can't wait to come back out there for a show n room
All the artist did a great job kept me entertained reminisced on throw backs etc. I had great floor seats and i really enjoyed myself watching Busta, 112, and Dru Hill although when i first bought the tickets i was expecting Jagged Edge. They are all talented and i had an amazing night.
It didnt feel organized. I paid for a ticket and didnt even sit in my seat. They placed me in another area. I was uncomfortable. It was hard seeing and the concert started late. The end of the concert was unorganized. I am dissatisfied.
Overall the show was good. However, a little disappointed due to 112 and Dru Hill did not have the original members and did not sing the songs expected.
