About

In 2012, rap legend Busta Rhymes made a triumphant return to the game with two Grammy nominations for "Look At Me Now," his chart-topping collaboration with young R&B star Chris Brown. Rhymes continued to assert his preeminence on the Superstars of Hip Hop Tour in 2013, delivering songs like "Kill Dem" and "Respect My Conglomerate" with his signature machine gun speed and entertaining ticket buyers with his outré style and seizure-inspired dance moves. Since signing with Cash Money Records in 2011, Rhymes has been busier than ever, releasing a spate of successful singles including "Twerk It" featuring Nicki Minaj from his 2014 album E.L.E.2 (Extinction Level Event 2).

Rhymes's idiosyncratic style suits his Jamaican heritage and Brooklyn upbringing. After signing to Elektra Records at Just 17, Rhymes found himself collaborating with the biggest names in the industry, gaining notoriety for his impressive verses on tracks by A Tribe Called Quest, Boyz II Men, and Mary J. Blige. In 1995, director John Singleton cast Rhymes in the film Higher Learning, but the following year would prove the most pivotal in his rise to stardom.  His 1996 debut album The Coming was an overnight success, landing at No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and earning Rhymes his breakout hit with "Woo-Hah!! (Got You All in Check)," which was accompanied by one of the most iconic music videos of the decade. He would go on to release seven more Top 10 albums throughout the '90s and 2000's, including The Big Bang in 2006, his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Rhymes continues to bring his outrageous style, leftfield wit and virtuoso delivery to his live performances, building anticipation for his live concerts in support of 2014's E.L.E.2 (Exctinction Level Event 2).

by VCJR on 4/1/25Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

It was a decent show... Soul For Real was cool... It was great to see Lil Mo perform again... Nore and Capone bringing out Memphis Bleek was so unexpected but so appreciated.. Lil Kim could not have been on the bill.. wasn't feeling her performance... but the highlights Remy and Fat Joe... and definitely Busta.

The performance was ok..it would have been better if he didn’t so so much talking before or after a song. He talked more than rapping. Overall I like Busta but he could have given us more of a performance

  • Okay

  • Overall dope show

by MB on 11/29/22St. George Theatre - Staten IslandRating: 4 out of 5

Overall a good show. Only disappointment was that Ghostface didn’t show up. I don’t think it was acknowledged that he wasn’t there either. Just sort of like the elephant in the room. Other than that it was a fun night!

  • Fantastic

One of the best experiences I’ve had so far. The theater was beautiful and clean. The staff were very helpful, polite and professional. The sound quality was amazing. I’ve added this theater to my mailing list and will definitely recommend to others.

Omg where do I start? This show was crazy as hell good stuff from my favorite rappers when I was younger. Mase did his thing, Banks put on a good performance although the crowd was lazy for some reason and didn't give him the respect he deserved because a lot of people were seated and he was upset about it but that's understood. Juvenile freaking lit up the crowd it was insane love him. Busta came out and did banger after banger just put on a crazy good performance and his energy was crazy as hell. Man, if you have the opportunity to peep this show definitely don't miss out because you'll regret it.

  • Busta @nite

by Adie on 6/22/22Premier Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino - MashantucketRating: 5 out of 5

The event was great I think that buster was a little bit on the tired side especially since he was celebrating his birthday month and he had just been on the west coast as well as gotten a proclamation from the city of New York and he was just doing a lot of running so other than that the show was a little bit low keyed from him but the rest of the artists were fine as well as the main headliner I definitely enjoyed the venue for which it was they had the speakers really cranked up so for somebody who's the senior citizen I probably lost my hearing a little bit but overall it was very well supervised security definitely was holding it down and other than the distance from which I travel it was definitely a show worth seeing it was on my bucket list for my birthday month so I was very happy. He is definitely a person you want to see once in a lifetime thank you Busta Rhymes

I had a sudden death in the family the week of the concert. We had funeral services that Tuesday and Wednesday. With My heart broken and so caught up with family. My boyfriend said lets still go and make the best of it. So we decided to go. Unfortunately when we got there, we walked to the front of the theatre and questioned why there wasn't a crowd. Well, i asked security. He said, " Sorry but you missed it, the concert was last night." I was so discombobulated, I could've sworn it was the night before father's day. I got the tix as a father's day gift for him. So, unfortunately we weren't able to enjoy the show! My fault.
