It was our first Burlesque show we attended and it was fun entertainment!
I have been to many drag shows, but this was my first burlesque show & this show takes the cake!
As usual, the show was fantastic. This was our 2nd time attending and it was everything we liked about our first time and more. This show was a classy Burlesque with additional hysterical moments that really created a totally creative, enjoyable, and fun evening. Top that off with good food at the Birchmere in a supper club type atmosphere, can't beat that for a nice Valentine's Day treat. Hope to be able to go next year to the show and see them again!
GREAT show!! Hot Hot Hot routines!! Loved the beautiful performers! Loved the outfits, from one layer down to the next!! The show was full of action, pizzazz, bumps and griiiinds!!! Great music, great rapport with the audience, Cool Emcee!!! Oh Lord, play it again!!!!!
This is my 4th time seeing the show. The performers are tops as always. The cock and balls song was AWESOME and so memorable that my wife and I were singing it back and forth to each other in the house this weekend. I love that there are so many shapes and sizes of women performing. The performances are titilating and fun and the performers are fantastic. They take what they do seriously and every performance is memorable. The new emcee though, not awesome. They changed emcees within the last year and the show now has a very crass edge. Your emcee sets the tone for the show, and while it's still funny, the humor has a harder less approachable edge than before. It's the difference between sophisticated and funny freshman fart jokes vs your fat drunken uncle leaning over to fart at the dinner table at Thanksgiving. One is funny and awesome, the other is just kinda gross. The new emcee uses a lot of old bad drug references, blow job humor and relies on an ambiguous gender identity to get laughs. Also, anyone that's sitting in the front row is fair game to be picked on. The previous emcee was an odd looking pasty white guy with red hair who actually did a striptease to reveal an unexpectedly well developed body. His humor was self effacing so it made fun for everyone without picking on anyone. While he would still get audience participation, the difference was he had a more sophisticated racy humor that was approachable by everyone and wasn't degrading. After this emcee, I felt a little like a Silkwood/Crying Game shower might be in order to feel whole again.
We've been loyal fans of the World Famous Pontani sisters for about 8 years now. This show was not their best. The emcee was mediocre, and slow in moving the show along. The show itself lacked the luster it has had in previous years. No backup band. The highlight in the show was the musical talent and their rendition of "Cocks & Balls".
It was good the GF liked it much more than I did. I enjoyed the singing by the one woman the most. The rest was a comedian MC person then the rest dancing to songs by burlesque women.
This show was our first and we really didn't know what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. It was classy, tasteful and sexy. The MC was also wonderful funny and very entertaining. We would definitely recommend this to friends and go again.
What an amazing way to spend Valentines laughing and seeing the beautiful artistry of the burlesque dancers! I highly recommend this event to anyone looking for a great night out and a new experience!
Hilarious. Super fun show, great variety of entertainment.
This was my 1st time attending a Burlesque a Pades in Loveland Valentine's event. The MC Albert Cadabra set the tone for the night. He was hilarious and so entertaining! Miss Tickle and The Maine Attraction could have easily been the Headliner. These two ladies brought the house down! I think the show would have been better with Live music instead of recorded tracks.
Show was fun and MC was great at getting the crowd to interact. He found a willing person to have on stage and engaged the audience. Some of the 'dancers' were of a higher quality dance and costume performance than others - all in all it was a great, entertaining and tasteful evening out!
I would highly recommend this show, it was hilarious, from beginning to end. Expect to spend some bucks on food and drink though.
A laugh-out-loud show! My first LIVE burlesque experience of any kind, and I enjoyed it. Overall, a lot of fun! Only suggestion would be to add some stage props to enhance the atmosphere and to give the dancers a little more to interact with than just the empty stage.
Act was seriously stale. Below the standards for the Birchmere. Better suited to a small club somewhere. We left in the middle - when they started selling raffle tix for a bag of stuff. Hate to rag on anyone who works hard but what was supposed to be kind of an ironic throwback to the old strip days was just a kind of sad routine that seemed like it could have been a scene in a play about the 1900s. The host was a pretty awful carny. But the place was packed. They mustt have seen something I didn't.
It was good entertainment, funny and well presented. And of course the food was great too!!
Loved the show. I'm speechless! The host was awesome and really made the night eventful. The ladies were perfect! The food was great, but our server at table 220 seemed like it was a long night. Took our order once. I had to track him down just to get food towards shows end. I smiled when he asked if we needed more drinks as I was paying for the bill. So unfortunate, but that won't stop me from coming again!
The performance was awkward at times. So not sexy. Been to others which were brilliant. The performer making out with the American flag was just strange. My entire table was put off of the entire show.
The ladies were beautiful and the host kept things moving along. He was hysterical! There was time after the show to meet everyone, get autographs, and have pictures made.
i see a lot of burlesque in the washington area, a lot of folks from all up and down the east coast perform here and i have to say…BEST SHOW EVER! VERY professional, organized, and FUNNY, FUNNY,FUNNY! i took a big group of friends who have not seen burlesque and they LOVED IT! a great story line, amazing performers, MC was hysterical and totally in control of his game! the pace was perfect, we were always entertained & we all never even looked at our watches once! thethe venue was perfect, not a bad seat in the house, food at birchmere was great , staff from the front door to the waiter excellent and i got huge points for putting together an amazing night!
