    Good Show

by Jerben on 1/22/16Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

The show was fun and the performers were very good. The dancing was quite good and the costumes fit the period very well. My only complaint would be that the parking around the area is expensive.

    Well executed but meaningless

by Tadatalia on 1/20/16Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

This production was the highest caliber singing, dancing, acting and beautifully costumed. Everything about it was too notch. The premise is fun, and there are a lot of good laughs. I wish it didn't have to be so crude and that it didn't didn't express the viewpoint that life is basically a bunch of nonsense. If you can get past all of that, it is a very well performed production.

    Some memorable performances...

by Michael1960 on 1/19/16Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

If I was going to see my son or daughter in their high school play, I would be giving a glowing review. But, it wasn't. So, the review is not glowing. Cheech (Jeff Brooks) was spot on...best performance in the production.

    Bullets Over Broadway - Energizing

by Mecruzn on 1/19/16Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

Went to see Bullets Over Broadway at the Pantages theatre. I love the theme, taking place in 1929. The dancing was incredible, the actors funny, the music was enjoyable. This combination made for an enjoyable show.

worst professional musical i've seen in years.

by localmusician6 on 1/17/16Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

as a professional musician, i likely have higher standards for tye arts than some, but this show was not only disappointing in its quality, it was downright painful to watch and listen to. i never leave shows at intermissions, i always hope they will get better, but i could not get out of this one fast enough. cool costumes, great live musicians, but other than that, not much going for it. the musical score is rather boring, in general. certainly not the least bit memorable. the singing was sub-par for a professional touring show, although the house levels were off making it difficult to hear them at times, so it could have been worse. neither the choreography nor the dancing was particularly impressive with ONE exception of a group "mafia" number towards the end of the first act. more than anything though, the acting was some of the worst i've ever seen on a professional stage. seemed like they weren't even trying, it was awkward, in delivery and blocking. i was dumbfounded. i don't know where things fell through, casting, direction, production, maybe everyone was sick, or some combination of the above and/or other things. i am very sorry to write this, negative reviews are hard to handle as an artist, but if anyone else is considering attending this tour, i would NOT recommend it.

Lively, snappy, fun show with wonderful classic vintage music, cute costumes, great dances, old timey gangsters & dolls, solid men's tap number, live orchestra, and the stunning Pantages Theatre

Bullets Over Broadway was thoroughly entertaining

by Boopies on 1/17/16Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

Bullets Over Broadway brought you back to the 1920's-30's period with a touch of now. The songs were from this period with lyrics changed to the storyline and definitely brought a smile to your face and made you laugh. Took my daughter to see this and we both really enjoyed the show. Loved all the dancing, especially with the gangster scenes. There were a lot of funny moments.

    Bullets was brilliant

by Anonymous on 1/16/16Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

This show was fantastic. The play was upbeat, the songs well chosen and performed, and the choreography outstanding. This could easily have been done on Broadway. I would encourage everyone who likes musical comedy to see this production.

Bullets Over Broadway Hits the Target!

by GreenLantern59 on 1/16/16Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

This production of "Bullets Over Broadway" at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood was a musical and comedy extravaganza! It had great song and dance numbers, fast moving scenery, good dialogue, and a ton of fantastic performances by the cast! The Character, "Cheech", stole the show in my opinion as he starts out as a minor bit player asked by the mob boss to play "babysitter" to the boss's loud mouthed, no talent, but gorgeous girl friend who has been conveniently cast into the play he is producing by a struggling play write, who only wants his "pride and joy" script played out to its exactness. What he doesn't realize is that his script is too stuffy and boring and the gangster, Cheech, has better ideas that eventually rewrite the entire play! All cast members give a very genuine and memorable performance that help you really get to know their character's inner workings and the type of person they really are as the play unfolds. Cheech has a rousing number of "Nobody's Business" that brings the house down! He is a likable character, even though he is a killer and tough guy, that you can't he;p but admire and see his inner soft side. This was an amazing play that gives you a full evening of entertainment and satisfaction! Go see it if you possibly can!

I love Broadway, but this was amateur all the way

by BroadwayLA123 on 1/16/16Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

Walked out after first 30 minutes. The acting and direction were substandard in every way. I'm guessing that this was a non-union tour, but don't really know. Regardless, it was neither worth my time nor money, unfortunately.

Bullets over Broadway is NOT a Woody Allen vehicl

by watchfuleyes on 1/16/16Hollywood Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

A show without a script is not a great show.. no matter which way you look at it.. this show has a weak thin script with very few shining moments. It is sad to see that Mr. Allen put his name to this dribble, certainly I was looking in the Playbill to see who actually penned this mess. There is no clear cut mention of it. So can you blame Woody for this? I am not sure. Still the shining moments come with Ms. Strosman's rich directing and dancing. Does that make a show? If it were someone else... NOPE... But she ads certain touches that make this show dance.. and the cast does well doing just that. For the dance and dance alone I would give it 5 stars... but the rest of the show is so amateurish you can't give it rave reviews. A throwback to the 20's ... and some vaudeville may have sparked this up. But since the ghost writer didn't think of that.. it drags the show into forgetfulness. Would I recommend this to others. Only if you know when you walk in the door that there is no plot, no real character interaction, and a lot of dance... you are warned... Otherwise.. pass.
