Bullet for My Valentine is a heavy metal band from Wales. They released their debut album in 2005, though they had originally formed as a band in 1998 under the name of Jeff Killed John and released a number of EPs before their first album. Years later a couple of early tracks were reworked and released under the Bullet for My Valentine name. In their early years, before official singles and album releases, they performed cover versions of popular heavy metal bands such as Metallica and Nirvana, whom they list among their influences along with Iron Maiden and Slayer. The band promoted their first album by taking a tour around the world and subsequently toured to promote each of their albums with lots of tour time in North America, Canada and the US. With a growing fan base they began to be invited to perform at festivals and as their popularity grew they moved up the billing at many prestigious gigs. By 2006 they were headlining at the Kerrang XXV gig at London's Brixton Academy and up to the present day Bullet for My Valentine have continued to tour and perform at music festivals all over the world. Over the years the band have collected an enviable cabinet of awards starting with their Best Newcomer award at the Welsh Music Awards in 2004. They won the Best British Band Award twice at the Metal Hammer Golden God Awards, in 2006 and in 2010. They have been regular award recipients at the Kerrang! Awards including Best British Band three years in a row from 2008 to 2010.
Bullet For My Valentine is AMAZING in concert. If you're a metal-head, they put on an awesome show. I have seen them many times and not one show is the same! Can't wait to see them again!
This event was awesome. Great venue! The line went nice n fast, you're able to sit on the steps and wait so early birds rejoice! Lounge is stunning and comfy. The bars are easily accessible and very well staffed. Nice e prices on double crown and coke. Opening band was AMAZING!!!! Stunning heaviness and their energy on stage was captivating. My 14yr old plans to see them again and usually she doesn't like heavy...so they won for sure! OM&M did not disappoint!!! I've heard great things about them and they had us jumping and screaming...so much so I forgot to take a lot of picsđ€Ł BFMV...thank god they came back to the US!!! Been waiting!!!!! The accent...is still smexy! Guitar still has that FIRE and the hair is grown back out ladies!!! They are very interactive and tons of free stuff was thrown! They smile and chit chat after for a few mins. Really wonderful guys! Still heavy, still has vocals...just as good as ever!
Vendors were setup well and the bars were very attentive. Security was something I havent seen before with the double metal detection walk through and the wanting even but better safe than sorry. Other than that my crew and I had a blast. Oh and parking was tricky to find. No signs anywhere for parking if you paid for it with the tickets... we ended up getting a boot on our vehicle which could have been avoided had there been clear signs for paid parking.
Starting off, Vended opening was a sick choice. I've only heard about them recently but seeing them in concert was definitely one I wasn't going to forget, their energy was intense and I can really say I became a true fan to them too. Following that with Of Mice and Men was a solid choice, a good in-between to keep the crowd and myself pumped and not burnt out. I didn't know all of their songs by heart, but the music was still sick. But man when Bullet came on, it was over. The lights, the intense sound, it just felt so damn raw! In those moments, it felt like though we (the crowd) have never met, we all became comrades. I moshed, sang, screamed and head-banged with people that only matched the energy and hyped it up. The band's interactions with the crowd, letting them sing certain parts and purposefully drawing out sections because they could see people were feeling it, was considerate and made for some fun times. Admittedly, it was my first time seeing BFMV live, though I've been a fan for a long time, it was 100% worth it and next time will be even more unforgettable than this. If they read this, thanks Matt, Michael, Jamie, and Jason for a unforgetable, badass show!!

After so many years of watching live performances on youtube. Finally i made it to a BFMV concert and it was a amazing experience. Theyâre just the best of the best when it comes to OG metal bands!! Simply amazing!!

Bullet was incredible. Of Mice and Men were great as well. but the opener, Vended, stole the show. What a great lineup. The bar service was great as well. The best part about this venue is that it is all ages. I was able to bring my Fifteen year old son who loves rock and metal. He misses out on so many great shows because House of Blues will not let him in. So we love when great bands come to the Filmore so we can go as a family and enjoy life with great performances like this one at a great venue like the Filmore New Orleans. Thank you Filmore for a memorable experience for my son and I. \m/ \m/

They are so good in concert!!!! I love Matt Tuck. He's super sweet and hot!!!
Bands were great! However, general admission floor was packed like Sardines except in the very back near the bar and merch tables. It's expected to be crowded at a concert, but having so many people packed in together that it's difficult to even raise your arm without elbowing someone in the ribs next to you is ridiculous. Max capacity may suit the income generated but it certainly does not fit the house of blues venue.

Been a concert-goer for some time now. This year has been very special for personal reasons. But, after buying BFMV tickets 2-3 months in advance, I was thrilled when the time came. And they did NOT disappoint. New drummer and bassist, same great sound and maybe even better! Vended was great. Of Mice & Men were amazing. BFMV was everything I hoped and more. First time for all 3 bands. The energy, vibe, crowd and tunes were phenomenal and I am definitely looking forward to a future show for all of them. Probably the best show I've seen yet. Basically, I could die right now and be fulfilled!!!! Please come back to Dallas anytime!!
