Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club®

A very Enjoyable experience! Excellent show that provided the uninitiated a window into a different type of Latin music. Two hour show worth every minute. I would love to see them again in the future. 😊

High energy show loaded with talent. Hit the mark with familiar and new-to-me songs. The lead singers and musicians me are terrific, especially the female vocalist. Beseme Mucho was the best version I’ve ever heard. She is spectacular!

  • Awesome concert!

Really talented group of latin musicians! A few of the old band are still there. And the band leader has his daughter playing trumbone! The new female vocale lead may be the best salsa/latin singer I have ever heard - crazy great vocals.

  • Not as expected

    by Gitarguy5210 on 9/22/24Town Hall - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

The Buena Vista Social Club was great, as usual. The opening act made me cringe. We couldn't figure out why this guy was there. I guess he had an ok singing voice, but his guitar playing was inferior, and the material he did had no place in that venue.

  • Great concert

by Buena Vista fan on 9/22/24Town Hall - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

The band musicians and vocalists were all wonderful. I wish they performed in Manhattan more often!! Unfortunately, it was totally annoying that cell phone videos were permitted. Having someone wave a cellphone blocking your view is NOT fun and a total distraction, not to mention the light interference. The opening act was unnecessary and not at all compatible with Cuban music. The show should have started on time.

  • Excellent show

by surfdogs on 9/21/24The Wilbur - BostonRating: 4 out of 5

While this is not your father's Buena Vista Social Club, the arrangements and performances of the Buena Vista Social Orchestra bring back all the great songs and feelings that the BVSC did 25 years ago. Most of the great stars are gone, but the remaining original key members under the expert direction of Jesus Ramos makes this band very entertaining and enjoyable for an evening out. If you like Cuban jazz and great vocals, I highly recommend them.

  • Terrific performance

by LouBelle on 9/20/24The Wilbur - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Buena Vista Social Ochestra's performance was terrific. The members were true professionals, gave their all, roused audience participation, the audience was exuberant, nobody wanted it to end. Five-star performance!

  • Wow! And it made my wife dance, first time in 4 years!

by LouieFP on 9/17/24Paramount Theatre - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

Boy can these guys (and gals) rock the house and you feel like you are at a backyard party with friends, REALLY talented ones. Great show, great voices, super horns and just FUN! They couldn't clear the people out of the aisles dancing. It went on and on.

  • Big Fans of Buena Vista Social Club

by Joyce B on 9/15/24Uptown Theater Minneapolis - MinneapolisRating: 4 out of 5

We enjoyed the evening but not our designated seats. We were sitting behind a big brick column and would have had to lean to the left to see the Orchestra. A nice bearded staff person came and noticed our bad sight line and took us and our 2 guests to seats on main floor left where we could see the Orchestra just fine. We were really thankful to that staff person. It was a great show. We have been huge fans of Buena Vista for years so this was very special to us. The new theater is very nice and spacious but the air conditioning was SO cold by our new seats, that we had to leave earlier than anticipated. If we go to another concert there in the future, we will wear parkas! Also, drinks were way overpriced.

  • Absolutely fabulous 130 minute performance

by DwntwnMplsDon on 9/15/24Uptown Theater Minneapolis - MinneapolisRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely fabulous 130 minute performance by Cuba's Jesús "Aguaje"Ramos and the Buena Vista Orchestra playing a 19 song set allowed by an incredible 4 song encore on Thursday night in Minneapolis at the Uptown Theater.

  • Great musicians, tight orchestra.

by ColoradoCubana on 9/14/24Paramount Theatre - DenverRating: 3 out of 5

Too bad it was such poor quality sound! I had an isle seat right across from the sound board. The guy there was busy looking at his phone most of the night. Disappointed.

  • BVSC Always Great!

by Missy on 9/13/24Paramount Theatre - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

The true Cuban big band sound with phenomenal talent... singers and musicians! I have loved their music through all the changes of band members over so many years. They performed some of their best songs creating a fun and energy charged audience singing and dancing!! An amazing evening and a rare chance to see them in person! Excellante!!

  • Great music, terrible sound!

by steviegtr on 9/13/24Paramount Theatre - DenverRating: 1 out of 5

We were so looking forward to hearing the Buena Vista Social Club live. Unfortunately the sound was so bad and too loud with major distortion on the male vocal and trumpet mikes and generally that we left after several songs, driven out by the terrible sound and not being able to hear what they were saying or singing. Bad job by the Paramount on this concert!

  • Great show

We really enjoyed this show. Delicious salsa with some great boleros. Highly recommended for salsa lovers

  • Fantastic Cuban Music

by RichieRich on 9/11/24Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

I saw the Buena Vista Social Club in Havana Cuban in 2018. This performance at Wynn was even better as the audio and lighting only further enhanced the experience. Very talented group kept me entertained and engaged for 2 1/2 hours. Highly recommend if you love Cuban music or are open to a new musical experience.

  • JOYFUL !!!

by CAM on 9/5/24Neptune Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing! Saw the Buena Vista Social Club group while we were in Havana several years ago. Was delighted to experience them here in the US!

  • Awesome music

by MS on 9/5/24Neptune Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

This group of musicians are fabulous to watch, listen to and just experience. I love these traditional Cuban sounds. The main vocalists were supreme. The rough textured voice of Aldo Isidro to the deep, rich, moving voice of Geidy translated each songs emotion. All the musicians were exemplary but Andy Abad Acostas' piano work was stellar. So glad we had the experience.

  • Wonderful musical experience!

by SJ on 9/5/24Neptune Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

This orchestra is one of the absolute best. Beautiful music, great showmanship. People were moved by the music, some of us dancing in the aisles. Gracias por todo, Buena Vista Social Orchestra!
