It says all you need to know about Buddy Guy that the music genre that he has come to embody, the Chicago Blues, could never hope to contain him. In the more than 55 years since the Louisiana moved to Chicago and embarked on one of the most influential careers a guitarist could ever hope for (just ask Eric Clapton), Guy is still pushing the envelope of his artistry. But what is remarkable about this Rock N' Roll Hall of Famer is that he isn't sacrificing an iota of his relevancy while doing so. Guy proves it not just in concerts that are as high energy now as they were when he was heralding a rock guitar revolution in the 1960's, but also on the charts. His 2010 musical autobiography-of-sorts Living Proof was the blues legend's highest carting record to date, while his 2013 double disk follow up Rhythm and Blues was #1 on the Blues chart and showed 77-year-old to be every bit the firecracker as guest stars Kid Rock and Arrowsmith. If his last few decades have proven anything, it's that a ticket to a Buddy Guy concert isn't simply a tour through blues history, but an opportunity to see a genre's foremost practitioner still at the top of his game, with as much to say as ever has.

Great place all around..Buddy was great and put on a show especially for 87 yrs old. Eric Gales is my new favorite band
Great to see his son play with him…glad to see him entertain using a towel on the guitar and drumstick's…. At 87 yrs of age he is still worth seeing
The opening act was way way way to loud for that small venue and their bass was way off balance. The vibrations! Ugh. Plenty of people with their hands over their ears and lots left after the first few songs. We did too. Never even got to hear Buddy Guy and that was such a bummer. Is this what live music is now?
From the opening with Eric Gales to the close with Buddy getting down to some old school blues this show is in my top ten and I have seen 75 different acts over the years. Loved every minute of it!!! Buddy Guy was cool as a cucumber!!!!
This being the fourth time to see Buddy Guy in concert I was somewhat disappointed in the sound mix at this particular show. Extremely difficult to understand when Buddy sang or spoke. The opening act Eric Gales was extremely disappointing in that the bass was way too loud and it made for just a steady drone of poorly mixed inaudible music. I have seen Eric a couple of times prior and am a huge fan and he can do a lot better with the sound.
Excellent concert! Buddy is a master! & the opening band Eric gales was fabulous.
The Buddy Guy production company relied on the local sound production engineers to run the board and they ran the sound TOO LOUD. They were tuned to the full space of the venue but were only using 1/3rd of the acoustic space. The frames holding the speakers vibrated!!! But that part was not the fault of Guy but I would imagine that someone on his team should have taken it upon themselves to adjust the audio. But his part, the language in his music was not good and was vulgar for no particular purpose. I've heard very many Blues artists in 44 years but none that sang in that bad language. I can't say I've ever heard it on any of his records. What was the point?
Buddy Guy is up there in age and is still an outstanding performer! We love you Buddy!!
Buddy is a living legend. I recommend you find where he is playing and go. A must see!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent blues concert, amazing. Loved every minute
Eric Gales and his Band opened for Buddy Guy and immediately proceeded to get everyone at The Paramount up out of their seats and moving! The Grammy award winner showed us exactly why he received that prestigious recognition! Buddy Guy never ever disappoints! It’s hard to believe that he’s calling this his “Damn Right I’ve Got The Blues Farewell Tour”…his energy onstage never once waned(Cognac maybe has something to do with it!?) and his “curfew be-damned!” attitude,, caused the crew to almost drag him off the stage! Thank you Buddy for sharing the Blues with us, but especially, thank you for giving us your time. Take care.
Buddy Guy is a Beloved Blues Legend. Buddy inspired new Blues and Rock sound. It was a beautiful evening. But i left with a tear in my eye
We have seen Buddy Guy 100's of times over the years, ranging from larger venues to his club in Chicago. He just gets better each year! I am thankful we were able to attend his Farewell Tour, a true talent, legend, and educator - keeping the blues alive. We also enjoyed his opening act, Eric Gales, such a guitar and performing talent!
Phenomenal show! So stoked to see this legend again and he did not disappoint! Amazing!
Great show. Eric Gales set it off, and Buddy Guy is the best to ever do it
Buddy guy is still one of the great ones at 87!!! We were pleasantly surprised at how great he still is and at how great his opener was!!!
The opening act and closing of show was awesome. The bands were outstanding.
