About

Bryan Ferry in Concert

When it comes to debonair British crooners, Bryan Ferry has the market pretty well cornered, now in his fifth decade as one of the country's most celebrated and stylish pop stars. As beloved for his work with art rock band Roxy Music as he is for his solo material, the ever-dapper Ferry is a consummate performer, known for his silky voice, ladykiller looks, and come-hither stage presence. With a North American tour and Coachella appearance scheduled for 2014, Ferry has fans of all ages eagerly waiting to be seduced by his wily charms.

Bryan Ferry on Tour

Ferry formed Roxy Music in 1970 with several friends and acquaintances, among them a young Brian Eno, the now-legendary producer of David Bowie fame.  Between 1972 and 1982 the band released eight albums, topping the UK Albums Chart three times and racking up a slew of hit singles including "Jealous Guy" and "Love Is the Drug." In addition to continuing to front the band, Ferry has maintained an impressive solo career, releasing 14 solo albums over the last four decades. A true showman, Ferry continues to tour, lending his treasured voice to Roxy Music classics, hits from his solo catalog, and covers of artists ranging from Bob Dylan to The Beach Boys.

Bryan Ferry & Band were amazing as always

by Roo on 8/30/19Jacobs Music Center's Copley Symphony Hall - San Diego

First of all, I've seen Bryan Ferry on every US tour he's had since about 1980. He's amazing, his band is amazing and I'll continue to see him. The only complaint I had was the venue, Copley Symphony Hall. The sound was off or something....and it was hard to hear Bryan's vocals at time I felt. But my biggest complaint was the 'no video, no photography'. I totally understand that, however, people continued to do so, then the ushers would come to scold them, tell them to stop, often walking into the row, blocking our view of the stage. It would've been better to put up with the phone cameras than the ushers blocking our view. It got really ridiculous. Copley Hall is beautiful, but I will never go there again for this type of concert. Bryan Ferry brings everyone to their feet and I felt like I was in a very stuff environment and hard to really enjoy, dance, and let go like I normally would. I'll go back to the Greek in LA for him next time or possibly Humphrey's by the Sea when he was there. The symphony hall didn't do him any justice. Loved him all the same though!!

Bryan Ferry is still the sexiest entertainer on the planet.

by Lynda on 8/30/19Jacobs Music Center's Copley Symphony Hall - San Diego

What an amazing show! Bryan Ferry is a perfectionist and his performance was superb. He was flanked by an outstanding array of musicians and vocalists all of which served to make his show one of the finest I have seen in years. He played a diverse selection of hits making for an evening of expert entertainment. I would see him again and again.

Copley is a phenomenal place to see the masters of music! I just wish the audience was more fun and would not tell you to stop dancing on the last song of the night! Bryan Ferry took us on a magical ride of his entire musical career! Everyone should see this tour!

ACOUSTICS were HORRID at Copley Symphony Hall

by JackieBoy on 8/30/19Jacobs Music Center's Copley Symphony Hall - San Diego

Love the performances of Bryan Ferry. Guidance getting through to enter concert was done well done with excellent direction and rapid movement. However ALLOWING people to go in and out for beverages constantly throughout the concert was annoying, distracting and interfering along with permitting SEVERELY LATE arrivals.

    Finally !!

by Autohausal on 8/28/19Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

Finally had the chance to see Bryan and his band, and couldn't miss with this venue, even though we had to drive up from Birmingham....been a fan since Roxy Music but loved his solo music from the 1980's, no one was like Mr.Ferry. Thanks for a great show, and playing so many songs, and very nice stage layout for the band, which ALL were great I might add. Favorite song?....ok , it's a Roxy Music song, but still one of my favorite songs ever,.... My Only Love.... take care Bryan and the Band, keep touring !! ps- Bryan plays a good harmonica too ….! and we really liked the Ryman, first time there, very nice.

    He did not disappoint me.

    by C. L. on 8/25/19Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

He was so, so excellent. Did not know some of the songs but he played the songs beautifully. And ending with a Roxy Music song? I was happy!

    Always great!

by Victor on 8/21/19Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

Bryan Ferry is a legendary musician who is underappreciated on this side of the Atlantic - but you'd never know it from the reception he got at the Ryman (his second appearance in three years). This show was a nostalgia-fest, heavy on material from the 70s & 80s. But he remains energetic & focused, and his fans love him right back. Don't miss his your.

Both performance and venue exceeded expectations

by DBS on 8/21/19Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

I've seen Bryan Ferry a few times, most recently a couple of years ago in New Orleans at the Saenger Theatre. The was my first time in The Ryman, and I'd heard the show and venue were both very good. Both were better. Mr. Ferry's energy was contagious. His band was exceptionally tight. Like any superior performance, the audience and performers fed each other energy. Everyone had a really good time. The Ryman was, as expected, a fantastic place to see a show. The sound was superior. But both the performance and the venue exceeded my rather high expectations.

    Superb.

by B.N. on 8/21/19The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

Bryan's voice is iconic and remains very much intact. Very tasteful lighting and presentation. Easily the best show I've seen this summer. The band is great and so was the sound. Just superb on all fronts.

Great Crisp Concert - Uncomfortable seats

by The Paratrooper on 8/20/19Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

Show started precisely at 9 PM, 2100. took him about 5/6 songs in to play a hit. Great voice still and his supporting band members were great, especially the Sax player. The Ryman Auditorium was hot and the most uncomfortable seats ever, His last 3 to 4 songs got people off their 4th point of contact and moving starting with the song "Love is the Drug" Only down other down part besides the seats was the drunk Englishman sitting behind my wife and I

Mr. Ferry on top of his game !

by C. D. on 8/18/19Tabernacle presented by Cricket Wireless - Atlanta

Great performance. His band was super tight never missed a beat and provided the perfect accompaniment for his vocals. His songs musically are exotic to say the least and this group of very talented musicians delivered with skill and passion. His sax player was outstanding and so can be said of the violin player. They added real texture to the evening. His back up singers (never stopped moving) rounded out supported his vocals perfectly. Their work on Avalon, a real highlight. Staging and lighting well done. It was obvious the Bryan was enjoying the audience support and having a good time. Bravo Bryan. The venue not the greatest, old ,tight, rickety not great sight lineswish he played @ Cobb Energy perfect for him.
