BRUNO MARS IN CONCERT

Classic showmanship in the vein of James Brown and Michael Jackson is alive and well, and Bruno Mars is here to prove it. Mars takes the stage with The Hooligans, a tightly choreographed nine-piece soul band that serves as the perfect representation of his commitment to the live experience – a commitment that led to his selection as the halftime performer at Super Bowl XLVIII. A classic song-and-dance man and multi-platinum selling pop star, Mars references everyone from Prince to The Police in both his image and sound, but the result is more than mere imitation; as a songwriter and producer, he has successfully combined the sounds of his pop idols with reggae and hip hop to create a new generation of genre-crossing hits. In anticipation of his Super Bowl performance, fans can get tickets to catch Bruno Mars in concert on 2013’s Moonshine Jungle Tour.

BRUNO MARS BACKGROUND

Mars was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, where he gained his first exposure to music playing rock and Motown covers in his family’s band, The Love Notes. By age five, the Elvis Presley impersonations he performed with the band had gained him a reputation on the island and landed him a cameo in the 1992 film Honeymoon in Vegas. After high school, Mars moved to Los Angeles to pursue music, finding initial success as a member of The Smeezingtons, the writing and production team behind Flo Rida’s 2009 hit β€œRight Round.” His first success as a solo artist came in 2010 with β€œNothing On You,” a collaboration with rapper B.o.B. that peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earned the duo several Grammy nominations. Mars’ debut album, 2010’s Doo-Wops & Hooligans, landed at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and contained two worldwide No. 1 Β hits with β€œGrenade” and feel-good ballad β€œJust The Way You Are,” which nabbed him his first Grammy (Best Male Pop Vocal Performance). Sophomore album Unorthodox Jukebox (2012) was an even bigger success, peaking at No. 1 Β on the Billboard 200 and spawning the ubiquitous hits β€œLocked Out of Heaven” and β€œWhen I Was Your Man.”

  • Locked Out of Heaven had me SOBBING in row 12!!

    by 24kMagicTears_xo on 9/6/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Y'all I literally collapsed into my best friend's arms when he sang Just The Way You Are 😭😭 I've waited 6 years to hear it live and couldn't stop ugly crying! Had to reapply my mascara twice! Bruno pointed at our section during Treasure and I swear we made eye contact for 2.3 seconds. My makeup was DESTROYED but my soul has never been more alive! Thank you Bruno for giving me memories I'll cry about forever! πŸ’«βœ¨

Teaching English in Kathmandu when I heard Bruno was touring. Immediately cashed in my savings for flights & tix! My students pitched in for a handmade Nepali vest as a gift for Bruno (security wouldn't let me give it to him πŸ˜…). 17-hour journey, 3 layovers, lost luggage - BUT when he performed 24K Magic in that gold jacket, I forgot every travel hassle. Even made friends with 6 other international fans who traveled solo for the show! Bruno's energy is universal, truly transcends borders.

  • Friendship + Bruno = Best Night Ever!!!

    by 24kSquadGoals on 9/6/25Rating: 5 out of 5

6 besties, 6 pineapple shirts, and 1 INCREDIBLE Bruno show! We practiced our Uptown Funk dance routine for weeks and actually got featured on the big screen during Treasure! 😭 Security guard Steve was cracking up at our matching outfits and even took a selfie with us. Lost my voice from screaming but worth ittt. Our group chat is still exploding with memories from last night. When That's What I Like came on, we literally formed a conga line in the aisle! Sorry not sorry to the people behind us πŸ’ƒβœ¨

Literally planned my entire Himalayan trek schedule around this show. Took 3 planes, a bus, and walked 2 miles in these ridiculous platform boots (had to dress the part!) to see Bruno in Vegas. When he performed 'Locked Out of Heaven' I forgot I'd been awake for 36 hours straight. Even made friends with a couple from Brazil who traveled just as far! Bruno's energy made me forget about my jet lag completely. The altitude here is nothing compared to Kathmandu, but this show took my breath away just the same! 🌏✈️

  • 1,247 Shows Later, Bruno Still Ranks in My Top 3

    by TourLifeVeteran_1974 on 9/6/25Rating: 5 out of 5

After catching acts from Zeppelin to Prince to MJ, I know what makes a legendary show. Bruno's Vegas residency just joined that elite club. His James Brown-level showmanship mixed with Prince-worthy guitar solos and MJ-caliber dance moves - it's like watching all the greats rolled into one. The 24K Magic medley had better choreography than 90% of the arena shows I've seen in 49 years of concert-going. My weathered ears even appreciated the perfect sound mixing. Worth every penny of my social security check!

  • Our squad's dance circle moment will live FOREVER!

    by SquadGoals_BrunosCrew_24k on 9/5/25Rating: 4 out of 5

7 of us went full send at Bruno's show! Made a dance circle during 24K Magic and security actually joined in?! πŸ˜‚ Lost my voice from screaming Uptown Funk, Sarah lost her shoe during Treasure (worth it), and Mike somehow caught a drumstick! Only giving 4/5 because the merch line was longer than my college debt, but the show was pure magic. Pro tip: bring light-up shoelaces, Bruno points at you! IYKYK πŸ’«βœ¨

  • He even played Chunky from the deluxe edition! IYKYK

    by 24kMagicDeepCutConnoisseur on 9/5/25Rating: 5 out of 5

As someone who's memorized every B-side and bonus track, I LOST IT when he pulled out 'Money Make Her Smile' from Unorthodox Jukebox. The transition from 'Calling All My Lovelies' to 'Perm' was GENIUS, and that extended bridge in 'After Last Night'? Pure heaven. Bruno even threw in that unreleased snippet from the 2010 demos! The band's horn arrangement on 'Too Good To Say Goodbye' literally gave me chills. Real ones know. 🎺✨

  • From Carpool Karaoke to Concert Magic!

    by DancingDadInNewBalance47 on 9/5/25Rating: 5 out of 5

After years of hearing '24K Magic' blasting from my kids' rooms, I finally caved and took them to see Bruno. Let me tell you - this 47-year-old dad was MOVING! Had to ice my knees after attempting those dance moves, but worth it! Even recognized songs from my Zumba class. My teenagers were mortified when I started singing 'Uptown Funk', but by the end, they were filming their old man getting down. Security guard gave me a high five! Who says dads can't groove? Thanks Bruno for making me the 'cool parent' for once!

  • Flew from Alaska to Hawaii just to see the hometown hero!

    by BrunoOrBust_6000miles on 9/5/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Literally sold my snow mobile to afford this trip from Anchorage to Honolulu, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat! Seeing Bruno perform 'Talking to the Moon' under actual Hawaiian moonlight hit different. Love how he threw in some local pidgin between songs - felt like a genuine homecoming. The man even noticed my Alaska flag in the crowd and gave me a shoutout! Worth every mile of my 6000-mile round trip journey. My igloo will never be the same πŸŒΊβ„οΈ

  • Flew 4,217 miles from Tokyo - Worth every frequent flyer mil

    by globetrotter_moonwalker on 9/4/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Booked a flight from Tokyo the SECOND these tickets dropped! Survived a 13-hour flight, 2-hour delay, lost luggage, AND a typhoon warning just to see Bruno. When he performed '24K Magic' I forgot all about my jet lag! The way he did that James Brown split while maintaining PERFECT vocals?! My Japanese friends think I'm crazy for traveling this far, but they just don't understand. Bruno's energy could power all of Shibuya Crossing! Already calculating miles for his next tour. 🌏✈️🎡

  • A Masterclass in Show Production & Technical Excellence

    by StageEffectsWizard247 on 9/4/25Rating: 5 out of 5

As a production designer myself, I was FLOORED by the hydraulic stage transitions. The 24K Magic segment with those synchronized LED panels creating a virtual casino was genius. The way they programmed the laser array during Locked Out of Heaven to create that 3D galaxy effect? *chef's kiss* And can we talk about that rotating platform during Uptown Funk with the precision-timed pyrotechnics? Bruno's team deserves every technical award possible. This isn't just a concert - it's a masterpiece of modern stage engineering.

  • Reluctantly Admitting This Was Pure Performance Perfection

    by VinylPurist_Contrarian on 9/4/25Rating: 5 out of 5

As someone who typically eschews mainstream pop for obscure Japanese jazz fusion, I must begrudgingly confess that Mars' showmanship is unimpeachable. His command of James Brown-esque footwork while maintaining pristine vocal control is frankly ridiculous. The brass section's arrangements were particularly sophisticated - reminiscent of Earth Wind & Fire's peak era. Even the seemingly simple '24K Magic' revealed surprising harmonic complexity live. Hate to say it, but this was masterclass entertainment.

  • From 'Who's Bruno?' to Learning Every Dance Move in 3 Hours

    by OnceSkepticalSoulNow24k on 9/4/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Went to this show because my sister had an extra ticket. I literally knew ZERO songs except Uptown Funk. Fast forward to me now - I've watched every YouTube video of his performances, learned the entire 24K Magic choreography, and my Spotify wrapped is just Bruno on repeat. The way he GLIDED across that stage?! His band is INSANE. That drum solo during Runaway Baby had me questioning my entire music taste. Sorry to all my indie rock playlists, but I'm a Hooliganator now. 🎡✨

  • A Technical Masterclass in Concert Production Design

    by StageCraft_Virtuoso on 9/3/25Rating: 5 out of 5

The hydraulic stage transitions were FLAWLESS. That moment when the LED floor transformed into a starfield during '24K Magic' had me geeking out. The DMX programming for the moving trusses was next-level - perfectly synced with every beat drop. And can we talk about that holographic curtain effect during 'Locked Out of Heaven'? I've designed 100+ shows and I'm still trying to figure out how they pulled that off. Pure production wizardry. 🎭🎬

  • Flew from Alaska to Vegas - Worth every frozen mile!

    by BrunoOrBust_3000miles on 9/3/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Y'all, I legit took 3 planes and crossed 2 time zones from Anchorage just to see this man perform! Had to defrost in the venue but Bruno's energy could've melted the Arctic. When he did 'Locked Out of Heaven' I forgot I'd spent my entire fishing season savings on this trip. That hip thrust alone was worth the 3000-mile journey! Even lost my favorite parka somewhere in the crowd during '24K Magic' but WHO CARES? Currently writing this from the airport terminal, completely broke, voice gone, but my soul is RICH. πŸŒŸβ„οΈ

  • LITERALLY SCREAMING!!! BRUNO MADE ME LOSE MY VOICE!!!! 🎀✨

  • Perfect Show But Why Was The Stage Floor So Shiny?

by SmallPineappleOnPizza on 9/3/25Rating: 5 out of 5

Bruno absolutely killed it! Voice was perfect, dance moves were insane, band was tight. But I kept getting distracted by how reflective the stage floor was - my seat was up high and the glare from the lights was like staring into 24k Magic itself πŸ˜… Still giving 5 stars because I'm being ridiculous and everything else was beyond amazing. Just maybe wear sunglasses if you're in the upper level lol
