We were not impressed with this concert. I would not reccommend this to anyone. The first group, The Flecktones, were absolutely terrible. We almost got up and walked out. Also Bruce Hornsby was definitely not what we expected. I do remember him from many years ago, that is why we decided to come to his concert. Will never do that again

Great Balanced Show!
by JPDuvall on 8/1/11Chateau Ste Michelle Winery - WoodinvilleRating: 5 out of 5Admittedly, our seats were great (front row), so there was nothing bad I could possibly say. Bella Fleck and his band were simply awe inspiring and the early appearance of Hornsby with them for a number was a real treat. Bruce and the band were phenomenal, though he was on stage for much fewer songs than I recall in the past. Bella Fleck and Flecktones took up half (if not more) of the show. Aside from that, Bruce was his usual amazing self. Funny, engaging, so very talented.

Bruce Hornsby is always amazing!
by klove39 on 8/1/11Chateau Ste Michelle Winery - WoodinvilleRating: 5 out of 5In typical Bruce Hornsby style, he provided an entertaining night with meaningful music. This is my fifth time seeing him in concert and his talent continues to leave me in a state of awe. One of the best things about Bruce is that every concert is unique and from his heart. If you have the opportunity to see him, cease it! He is a true musical gem.
Bela Fleck and The Flecktones are magic in the air
by CLBSEA on 8/1/11Chateau Ste Michelle Winery - WoodinvilleRating: 5 out of 5What a concert. Beautiful night, fantastic music by Bela and the Flecktones transported me to musical nirvana. A wonderful evening with Bruce Hornsby and the Noicemakers as well. Encore was superb with both groups on stage. Oh what a night!
A lot of talent was on that stage!!
by happyppl on 8/1/11Chateau Ste Michelle Winery - WoodinvilleRating: 5 out of 5GREAT SHOW! Very talented musicians & you can't beat a sunny day at Ste Michelle winery. Loved it!
Hornsby at St. Michelle
by TG1503 on 8/1/11Chateau Ste Michelle Winery - WoodinvilleRating: 2 out of 5Im not much of a fan of the opening band thing. Bella Fleck and the Flecktones opened for Hornsby. I bought the tickets to see Bruce and his great band. Bella played for 90 minutes, then Hornbsy and his band played for about an hour, but he kept bringing Bella back out. It struck me as a weird concert. Hornsby was awesome and clearly the crowd responded to all of his work. But we had to share him with the Flecktones, who were OK for 30 minutes at the most...their work seems pretty narrow to me. Anyway, 2.5 hours of Bruce and his band would have been just right for how amazing the body of work is and how talented the band is. Next time Bruce, just bring you and your band. We will be extremely happy. In fact, do it next year, same time, same place! But you really don't need to share the stage!
Hornsby delivers again
by vizquel13 on 6/13/11The Pageant - St LouisRating: 4 out of 5The Hornsby show at the Pageant on 06/10/11 was just what I expcted: Bruce and his band exhibiting great musical chops in an entertaining set. Those not completely familiar with Bruce might have been disappointed, as his shows aren't always about mainstream music. Bruce was pretty talkative this evening and even got his son into the set. As always, I left the venue with a smile on my face. The only disappointing thing was that my front-row seat I originally purchased was wiped out with the decision to go general admission. There was seating near the stage, but one of the ushers wouldn't let just anyone go down there. I don't know what his problem was but I intend to find out when I contact the Pageant about this. Another usher told me that I should have been allowed to go down there.
Concert in St. Louis on June 10, 2011
by RedMitch on 6/12/11The Pagaent - St. LouisRating: 5 out of 5Bruce and the Noisemakers played at the Pagaent in St. Louis, MO. I had high hopes for this concert, having listened to many of Bruce's other offerings. I have enjoyed Bruce on Sirius Jam On. Not knowing what to expect from Bruce, I was hoping for the best. And I was not disappointed. Bruce is an amazing musician. With the opening coming from Crazy Sick Bastard, I wondered how much better it could get. With several songs coming from Spirit Trail, I soon realized I was in for a special treat. The music just got better as the night went on. When he left the piano for dulcimer, I wasn't sure what to expect. Prairie Dog Town on the duclimer, rocking out throughout the song gave me a new respect for Bruce and the band. Soon, 1 hour and 40 minutes later, I thought that the concert was drawing to a close. Bruce came back out for Mandalin Rain, a tribute to Jerry Garcia and The Way It Is. Everyone, including the band thought it was over when Bruce decided to offer another classic that just blew everyone away. All I can say is "Wow!" This was an excellent concert, living up to and going beyond my highest expectations.
Hornsby is the man!
by DrPerk on 6/12/11The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5Solid set, with a mix of new and old, The Dead and Bruce originals. Great upbeat, jam-band type of atmosphere! Going to see him again very soon!
Bruce Hornsby was amazing!
by STLTraveler on 6/12/11The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5From start to finish this show was great! I am so fortunate to have seen him twice in intimate settings and both times he and his band put on an outstanding performance!
Excellent evening of spontaneous tunes.
by luludu on 6/12/11The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5From the opening act, Lubriphonic out of Chicago, to the last note played it was a thoroughly intelligent, artistically musical evening. Bruce Hornsby's talent is abundant, his band is outstanding and allows him to conduct and rearrange the tunes to adequately entertain. I loved this show. Improvisation and spontaneous
What a great time!!
by velvetjones1 on 6/12/11The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5The show was fantastic! Bruce and the Noisemakers (who are anything but....) are such a talented, tight group. You can tell they have fun making music and the audience gets drawn into that. We'll definitely be seeing them again when they are in the area.
BRUCE & THE BOYS ARE FANTASTIC!!!
by brewstiee on 6/12/11The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5The concert was FANTASTIC and the sound was GREAT!!! The entire band seemed to be having a GREAT time and not just going through the motions. They did a FANTASTIC and surprisingly NOT SHORT encore!!! This was my second Bruce Hornsby concert and I am looking forward to my next one, which will hopefully be soon!!!

Bruce is a great musician and the rest of the band was awesome... but I wished they would have played more of their classics.
Bruce was awesome!
by Nuwingi on 5/3/11Saenger Theatre Mobile - MobileRating: 5 out of 5Truly was an awesome show - Could have been better attended, but the band was very lively and they were having fun I'd recommend this show to anyone!

Bruce and the Noisemakers were awesome. This being the first time to see him live, was a little surprised at the flow of the concert, but loved it. Tea Leaf Green had great music, however I could not tell you one word they sang. Kind of disappointing.
So So
by RJCH on 4/28/11Saenger Theatre Mobile - MobileRating: 3 out of 5Bottom line Bruce sounded great....but he evidently has a problem playing the hits that actually made him popular. I did not like the fact that he didn't play some of his major hit songs and the ones that were played were played so differently that they were hard to recognize. If I would have known this from the start I would not have went. Face the fact Bruce you were popular in the 80's why are you trying to hide it. You had great songs play them the way everyone remembers!!!!!
Current Hornsby not like the classic Hornsby
by Relayerman on 4/28/11Saenger Theatre Mobile - MobileRating: 4 out of 5During an after-show discussion with friends we decided that we all thoroughly enjoyed it. However, we also came to the conclusion that the reason we did was because we were all musicians. Hornsby and the Noisemakers stretch and bend the classic radio hits while making even the less well-known tunes entertaining. Even Hornsby himself admitted during the show that they like to keep it fresh and new every night. The band it tight and it's interesting to watch them as they all have their eyes glued to Hornsby waiting for his cues to go here or go there. There is no setlist and the majority of the show relies on fans' requests laid out on stage for him to pick up and sift through during the show. Every show of his is different, but they are entertaining. whether its the between song banter, the instrument changes, or the back and forth musician soloing. Its all entertaining and I had a smile on my face all night long. The casual Hornsby listener who likes his radio hits will probably be somewhat disappointed and/or bored unless he/she is a musician-type. I say that only because he will expand a 3 minute radio hit into 8 minutes and go off in another direction halfway thru the tune. Some folks don't care for that. We found it entertaining. Tea Leaf Green: I've seen local bands with more talent. A couple nice moments, but they should lose one of the two drummers and get a new guitarist. Keyboardist is obviously the ringleader and has the most talent. Bass player not bad either. Songs were forgettable unfortunately. They were young, but inexperienced at how to put on a show. Too bad they were only allowed half of the PA system and instruments had to use stage volume except for sub bass. Oh well, they were a time-filler.
