I thought the show would be more comical but was pleasantly surprised to discover the story behind the play. How important it is for people to be accepting of others. Side note - I wanted to go shoe shopping when it was over. :)

  • A great experience!

The place was beautiful and the singers were mostly great! The actor who played Charlie in my show seemed a little off at times and not the absolute best but I still enjoyed my experience very much! A few technical difficulties like mics not being on when actor/actresses were speaking occurred but nothing huge just a few missed lines. In the end, I loved the show and even with a few mistakes, I recommend!

Kinky Boots was great! Actor playing Lola was excellent as well as the actress playing Lauren. Musical numbers were so good. Loved the ending!

  • Great show, great cast

    by Advok8 on 3/19/18Scranton Cultural Center - ScrantonRating: 4 out of 5

Kinky Boots is a fun show with a message, some great music, and some real show-stopping numbers. That's no surprise. The surprise was the quality of this cast -- everyone was excellent which, unfortunately, isn't always true with touring companies. I'd single out the drag queens who were simply outstanding! Thanks for a great evening of entertainment!

I’ve waited since 1981 to see A Chorus Line. This group did not disappoint! I smiled and cried through the whole performance...truly a pinch me moment.

Show was cute. Actors did a good job. More for children than adults.

  • A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder

by Kathbee on 10/19/17Scranton Cultural Center - ScrantonRating: 3 out of 5

The scenery was probably the best I have seen so far from any of the plays at Scranton Cultural Center. The acting was good and the actors/actresses had beautiful voices. But it wasn't as funny or witty as I thought it would be. There were a few lines that made you laugh, but it was not hilariously funny.

  • Guiide had some confused.

    by 16twin on 10/18/17Scranton Cultural Center - ScrantonRating: 3 out of 5

I liked the play, but did not LOVE it as I expected. The play was entertaining, but since the audience was senior citizen ladened the sound system made it hard to hear all of the cast. I could hear them, but those around me did not. The singing was terrific. All the cast had amazing voices. The plot could been confusing, especially if you did not know that one cast member played multiple characters. It was an enjoyable event. Sadly the cultural center was far from full. Parking is tricky at this place. Overall, it was a good afternoon

  • This show should be on your bucket list!

by Hossdaboss on 10/17/17Scranton Cultural Center - ScrantonRating: 5 out of 5

What a great show! I've been to over 60 Broadway shows and this ranks at the top of my list! Great story, incredible actors, very very funny, but done very tastefully and professionally. Not really a show for children. Highly recommended!
