Campbell is cheer-royalty at Truman High School and her senior year should prove the most cheertastic – she's been named captain of the squad! But, an unexpected redistricting has forced her to spend her final year of high school at the neighbouring hard-knock Jackson High School. Despite having the deck stacked against her, Campbell befriends the dance crew girls and, along with their headstrong and hardworking leader, Danielle, manages to form a powerhouse squad for the ultimate competition – the National Championships.

Bring it on was a great show. Everyone was energetic and loved the comedy bits!
Performers were very talented!! The play was actually more enjoyable than I imagined!! Highly recommend this program!!
I did not care for the bad language and I don't care watching anyone dressed in drag. It was different than I thought it was going to be.
The Show it's Self Was Ok. However The Language Was Horrible and I Would Have Never Taken My Young Daughter If I Had Know!!! A Rating On The Show Is Really Needed.
Thought it was cute enough...for what it was. Just not the level of talent I expected. Music was very loud...I could not understand most of singing parts. And speaking parts were totally incoherent.
I thought the musical was upbeat and had an enthusiastic cast. The stunts were simply amazing. They were high flying and beautiful to watch. The acting was at times hard to hear (we were on third tier) which may have been the problem. At times the actors spoke too fast so we didn't get the joke when some of the audience laughed. But a delightful performance by all the characters. It was a gift for my daughter's 15th birthday and other than our seating arrangement, she enjoyed tremendously.
The choreography was on point, the music less memorable than other musicals I've seen in the past 2 years. Overall put you in the spirit of the original film.
Although kind of cheesy at times, for the most part it was very entertaining and fun. The 2nd half flew by.
Seemed more like a high school performance. First ten minutes dreadful, but improved as it went along.
Saw BRING IT ON the musical while it was previewing on Broadway back in 2012.. was so excited to see that it was coming to Detroit - was not disappointed in the least - it was a fantastic show, great songs, great cast, a lot of fun and laughs too.
I enjoyed the show very much. I love high energy singing and dancing shows and that's what this was. When I went I was concerned the show would be too young for me, I don't like teen oriented shows. this was a good show for all age groups.
Bring It On was an amazing experience - the energy of the performers, the music and singing! It had laughs and perhaps even a message or two. Even my 'non-musical' husband had to admit he'd had a good time!
the acting dancing and cheerleading moves were perfect.... well done!
I took my daughters to their first musical. They really enjoyed it, we all did. They loved the movie when they were younger and I thought it would be a good way to introduce them to musicals.
The show was amazing! The music, the singing, the stunts, just everything together made for and unforgettable performance! My daughter and I have wanted to see this for 3 years and missed it in New York, it was well worth the wait! Every time I looked over at her, she was smiling ear to ear.
I have never walked out of a live musical event...until now. The show was incredibly boring and indulgent. There was one slow ballad after another. Hardly any cheering or dancing. A complete disappointment.
Took my 9 year old daughter that loves cheerleading. We really enjoyed it.... Great singing and lots of cheer stunts.... I know the Bring It On movies have curse words in them... My only complaint was there were many small children and the musical had several curse words... I know it is an adult musical., just caught me off guard because my daughter definitely noticed them.. Overall I'm glad we went.. It was a good show.
This was my first visit to the Times Union Center. I was very impressed with the venue. It was a really nice touch to have 904 Happy Hour there taking pictures of your group while you were entering the building. The show was a wonderful variation of the movies. The stunts are amazing and the musical numbers are memorizing. While the entire cast was beyond talented, I have to say my absolute favorite to watch was Jennifer Geller, who played Nautica. The only downfall of the show was someone's VERY young child was screaming through some of the music and laughing entirely too loud during the show right behind me for the first few scenes. Other than that I LOVED this musical!
I see a lot of musicals and Bring it On was the best I've seen in a long time. The voices were excellent and the songs were very clever. Of course the gymnastics and dancing were extraordinary. My husband liked it too. I would have highly recommended this show if it were still on Broadway...better than Kinky Boots, etc.
Lots of laughs, great songs, and tons of exciting, high-flying stunts.
