About

BRING IT ON: THE MUSICAL is the explosive new musical comedy that raises the stakes on over-the-top high school rivalries. Set against the world of competitive cheerleading, this powerhouse new show hilariously proves that winning isn't everything when it means losing something - or someone - you really care about.

BRING IT ON: THE MUSICAL unites some of the freshest and funniest creative minds on Broadway, including Tony Award-winning writer Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q); Tony Award-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda (In The Heights); Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning composer Tom Kitt (Next to Normal) and lyricist Amanda Green (High Fidelity); Tony Award-winning orchestrator Alex Lacamoire (Wicked); and Tony Award-winning director/choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler (In The Heights).

    A wonderful suprise!

    by VOoch1 on 3/28/12Cadillac Palace - Chicago

I thought it was going to be a cheesy cheerleading musical, but being a coach I had to go anyways. But this was an amazing musical about cheerleading, the funny digs, adult humor, and fantastic cast. I wish I could see it again, and I can't wait until the soundtrack is released!

    Bring it on was amazing!

This play was absolutely incredible! It was amazing how these actors flipped and acted and sang at the same time!

    Entertaining but not appropriate

by Anonymous on 3/27/12Cadillac Palace - Chicago

The play was entertaining but not appropriate. The language was completely unacceptable and the themes and ideas presented were inappropriate especially for a younger auidence which the play was set up to entertain. The musical and entertaining aspect didn't let me down, it was the vulgar language and themes in which I was not anticipating which upset me the most. If a disclaimer would have been presented, I would not have gone and if I would have brought my daughter, I would have walked out because of the obscenities used and presented.

    Funny...if you're the right age

    by Giggler97 on 3/27/12Cadillac Palace - Chicago

Very enjoyable show !!! Me and my 11 yr old daughter went. There was cussing to my surprise, but it made the show even funnier. The humor and cussing did make it inappropriate for the younger kids in the audience (& there were plenty). If you can get past that, I'd highly recommend you go see it!

"bring it on" brought it on!

by illinoisloy on 3/27/12Cadillac Palace - Chicago

My wife went to the show with me, although relunctantly. We both loved it! First act went by in a flash. The voices and choreography (in non-cheerleading scenes) made this show so much more than just a disney-esque competition of rivals.

    Turned It Out!

by BroadwayBeliever on 3/27/12Cadillac Palace - Chicago

I went to the show excited about seeing a new musical based on the movie franchise. What I saw was absolutely inspiring and energizing!!! The tumbling, dancing, and overall visual of the show was a buffet for the senses. I found the individual performances to be top notch. There were some standouts, but this is truly and ensemble driven experience and well worth the ticket. The script was creative and allowed for each actor to enjoy thier own comedic moment(s). Did I mention these people fly? Take that, Spiderman!

    Cheering is fun

by Dimidola on 3/27/12Cadillac Palace - Chicago

The energy on stage was amazing! There were people flying! The fact that the cast was young did not mean they couldn't sing, dance and act at the same time!

    Bring it on again!!

by Mabren on 3/27/12Cadillac Palace - Chicago

This was a fabulous show! I would definitely see it over and over again. The stunts alone were absolutely breath taking. Even the leads doing stunts shocked me! Can't wait for the soundtrack to come out!

Awesome show with lots of talent!

by Anonymous on 3/27/12Cadillac Palace - Chicago

This show is extremely entertaining for teens and adults. Tons of talent with the cheer performances and stunting. Great story line, although I wouldn't take smaller children just because of the teen/dating theme. We sat in the balcony, and, I think you can see the cheer performances and stunting much better from the higher view. Overall, A+ for me.

Amazing high energy show! This is great, however I don't know that I would make a recomendation for a family event because there were several ADULT words used throughout the show. There was good humor throughout and the entire cast just nailed it. Go Team!

    Bring It On

    by Cheerleading1 on 3/26/12Cadillac Palace - Chicago

I know that this was a musical but I did not care for it much at all. I have see nall the Briing It On videos and I expected it to be more like the video. I thought there was to be more cheerleading and was disapponted that there wasn't. If you did not see the video, I can't imagine anyone understanding what it was about. I am not saying it was a total "flop" but I would not recommend it for the money I paid for the seats and $35.00 it cost me for parking. Also, I thought that the food prices were extremely high for popcorn that was on the stale side. Another thing I did not like was that there was only four stalls in the ladies bathroom on the floor where we were sitting and that we had to take elevators downstairs to the bigger bathroom.

Well put-together production. Strong characters played by strong actors - in both physicality and voice. Each character excellently portrayed.

Purchased these tickets as sort of a last resort thinking it would be for families with teens. We wanted to see a show while in Chicago and this was our only choice. We were so surprised how well the show was produced. It was humorous, great gymnastics as well as dancing. Fell in love with the characters.

    Bring it on

by louieone on 3/26/12Cadillac Palace - Chicago

I went to event with granddaughters and their Moms they loved it as did i but--- a lot of young ladies were there and i thought the language and some of the remarks were not necessarily appropriate. Without the remarks and some of the language would not have distracted from the format of the musical.
